  • Kimi Werner certainly knows her way around a kitchen, and when it comes to anything seafood she is an absolute pro. But even pros can still learn something new on occasion and Kevin wants to share a method of preparing octopus with Kimi that he learned from a fellow chef, who is famous for his octopus preparations. The two work together to create a real showstopper of a dish, while sharing tips and tricks along the way that will make them both better cooks when they return home.

Kimi had become one of my favorite people to watch! If Kimi shows up on an episode of any of the series, I immediately hit play! Everything she does, in the ocean, in the woods, in the kitchen, I'm just immersed and interested! Love it!

I have to say it seems like this episode feels like these series catching it's stride. The interaction between Kimi and Kevin feels more collaborative and natural than previous episodes. Both of them having something to do with their hands consistently really helps the vibe. Kevin's comment about learning to consciously relax is on point!

This is one of the reasons why ME is so much more than a hunting show. The cinematography, the stories, locations, people and cooking make this series a "must watch."

It's not her style of cooking that's why. Med/Hawaiian recipes for Octopus are generally straightforward and don't overcomplicate flavour profiles.

"some people say, we believe that animals have no soul. That is not correct. They believe animals have no soul because they want to eat the animals, but actually animals do have a soul. Another price we pay for meat-eating is degradation of the environment. The animal killers do not know that in the future the animal will have a body suitable to kill them. That is the law of nature. All those involved in killing, consenting the killing, helping the killing, carrying, selling, buying, cooking and eating the meat of an animal are equally sinful as the killing of that animal."
