As a USC fan, that 2011 season was really special.. Even though SC couldn't play in a bowl, that was an unforgettable year for me. If it wasn't for a couple calls, they could have been 11-1.
FAU is doing well because Kendall Briles (Art's son) is calling plays. Kendall was calling plays at Baylor before the rape scandal took down his dad's program. Also, OU dismissed a freshman qb for team violations and FAU picked the kid up immediately.
Not the same offense at FAU. The FAU is more of a copy of the Baylor offense--Art Briles offense. They have also picked up a former Big 12 qb. Briles' offense is very hard to defend against. The Alabama offense was not based off of qb play as the Briles offense is....Seth Russel, RGIII, Nick Florence. Stidham was Briles' last qb in the system and probably the weakest of the Baylor qb's but looks like a qb god in the SEC.
