#RJM #linemixer #parallelmixer
This is a game changer. I'm already running an amp less wet dry wet rig with the PBC 6X. Now I can do parallel WDW. Had no idea the 6X could function as a splitter
Been eagerly awaiting this mixer when it was mentioned in the previous RJM podcast, now I’m glad to learn all the tricks it can do!
I need to redo my board this winter when I get time. Perfect timing for this video. Never heard of this before.
I guess keyboardist with multpliple keyboards, rack gear and various pedals could use something like this? I'm looking for a solution to be modular and flexible with parameters during live performances. Someone sent me to see RJM gear. So far impressed with the gear you all make.
Thank you all, love what you do!
What about phase issues when running two or three wet effects pedals in parallel through the line mixer and into two amps? This device does not have phase and ground lift switches or is there no need? Please explain (in simple terms). Thanks!
I don't get these little line mixers since you need a large splitter to make them work, like a Radial shotgun.
What if I want a dry ch and a separate volume controlled reverb + delay - ch stereo "or mono out"? (Foe my acoustic gtr set up) Id like to blend the reverb amount as needed during a performance !
I'm such a nerd! This is my favorite topic 😂
I don't have time right now to watch the entire video so I hope you can explain; How do you even use these for wet/dry/wet? You need to buy a separate large splitter, right? The only one I can think of is my Radial shotgun - so I'd need two radial shotguns on my board and this mixer? Seems like a huge pain in the ass. I wish there was a splitter/mixer that could do both jobs.
Yeah, this and a single shotgun would work. Dry amp mono line out or send into the shotgun, and mono out of the shotgun and mono into your effects. Take the stereo out of your effects as dual mono to TRS into the RJM line mixer for delay, reverb and chorus for example. Take the sum stereo into your stereo amps. If you want one device checkout the musicomlab parallelizer. It is both mixer and splitter and it has midi. It’s quite a bit bigger though. The RJM box is meant to be a more low profile solution.
this may be a long shot kind of question, but I have been considering downsizing my PBC10 rig (utilizing wet effects in parallel always) to either PBC6X or morningstar control systems. I'm tossing up the idea of the various RJM line mixer products like this mini line mixer or the GFI Duophony. Because I like to control as much as possible from one place, I am leaning to Duophony. What say the chairmen, or anyone else that can chime in? Using the Walrus ACS-1 for stereo out, but eventually want to run WDW with my Princeton as the Dry signal.
Love the wet-dry-wet approach, but I can’t justify adding a midi switcher like the PBC-6X to my rig. So I would need a 3-way splitter box, which runs at about $300. So altogether I’m at $450. Wouldn’t a Parallelizer do the job for half the price of the complete setup?
Get the shotgun from radial for a splitter
Hi! is there any online Store in EUrope where i can get Vertex Effects ... products ???!!!
Thanks
Greetings from Portugal
How is this sonically different from the EHX product... which on the surface seems to have more control? Gizmo X owner here.
That’s a good question. Well for a start this RJM mixer can blend 4 signals, 1 more than the EHX, apparently its buffer is better and its a smaller profile.
This video is making me wish my DC-2W had a kill dry mode. (Or mod)
Well as it’s effectively a chorus other than does have dry signal baked into the sound. A normal chorus is pretty much a dry and a vibratoed signal summed together and the DC is a bit more complex but its effect is similar to. So I don’t think you’d get a stronger effect even if you could take its dry signal out.
@@matttaylor1449 Doubling up on this. I use the TC electronics copy just running to one side, and it sounds enormous.
Duz a switcher all ready do that
The PBC/10 already has a Line mixer internally. The PBC/6X does not.
What NO!NO!NO! I finally finished my switcher board, got a Musicomlabs EFX-VI (from Guitar Sanctuary ; ) Finally started to figure it out, now I'm gonna want to delve into parallel, which I just started toying with. Ahhh! I'm going to go play my Drums. Who am I kidding I need to find out if mine does this new magic spell.
I wonder what Paul Gilbert thinks of this? ;)
He probably just thinks it’s cool like the rest of us.
