I have such a bittersweet relationship with the tiny desk concerts because every artist sounds so amazing and unique here but I go back and listen to the same song in iTunes and most of the time it’s too digitized and missing the soul of the music like they show so beautifully here. But I truly hope Tiny Desk never stops it’s a true gift to music!!!
they should release the audio as some like "Live Sessions" as albums on streaming services. Would be very good for most artist, but I guess not for their record company...
It's been a big problem for many years; soul-less music production sucks the life out of individuality and spark. All we are left with is junk food for a fast food music society. It's a shame as I beleive most music lovers have a much more diverse pallate...
That drummer is phenomenal. Not only does he effortlessly display a mastery of both technical ability and creativity, he manages to play so appropriately for each song. Lovely fresh little grooves while keeping it simple when necessary. Never too much, never boring. You can't teach that kind of drumming. I fell in love with Jorja a long time ago but this drummer has stolen my heart. Pure class.
She's looking so nonchalant, which gives you the impression that what she's doing is easy. She's super talented. The way she controls her voice is amazing.
@ in my opinion music flows together in a way you can’t replicate, you just let go and everyone vibes. The collaboration of artists in this way makes for some truly wonderful art each aspect adding onto the other to bring us this multi dimensional masterpiece.
I see everyone freaking out how beautiful Jorja is. Yee, sure. BUT this band is amazing. Pure talent on every instrument and extremely well played together. Kudos to the them!
The thing I love about Tiny Desk is that every performance is so different. This is equally is beautiful because it’s not like a copy of any other song.
You should check out KEXP out of Seattle, similar taste and their sound engineer is unbelievable. They and NPR have some of the cleanest sounding audio, and you get a little taste of the live energy of the bands. Little Dragon had a stellar performance on their show, check it out.
I'm always blown away by the drummers touch on these tiny desk concerts. I wish I knew more than a single drummer who had this sort of consideration for volume/sound.
I bet it's not that easy to live like that ESPECIALLY if you have social anxiety. Men lookin' at you like you are a freshly cooked steak all the time and falling to their knees before they even know anything about who you really are. People are so sensitive to the golden ratio.. I would not like to be in her shoes I think.. and wonder often what is this thing called beauty that makes people value one over the other, generally speaking.

Props to her, amazing voice and great control, precise and almost effortless. But what makes this version so unique are the musicians, these guys had a nice sinergy. Rhythm part was flawless, keeping that tempo perfectly and adding that sweet groove. On the other part, the guitar and the piano were really feeling it, some fills were just perfectly fitted. Awesome performance.
Loved it first beat. What they talking above, "she should make live album." What Choo Choo mf think she doing? Smooth, smothe gutsy treble tight. Like a male Zack wilde or SEAN HAYES. KUDUS. SHE EXHALES WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SPEAKES FROM HER THROAT. imma gonna practice.❤❤❤
it is true man, that guitar lick was everything, small part but made it something extra; the drums don't need any explanation if your ears work correctly.
I agree that it seems effortless. But having listened to this performance several times now, I do find her overdrive a bit tiresome in the long run. She has a beautiful voice, if was able to keep it out of overdrive a bit more (I've no idea if that is asking too much technically, if she would be able to or if it is generally very very difficult to avoid for any singer) I would enjoy it even more :)

I had the amazing chance to watch the show of Jorja the past weekend, at Lollapalooza Chile. The vibe provided by her voice and the great musicianship of the band blew me away. I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. But the best part was that 10 minutes after the show, when I was in line to use the toilets, me and some friends saw that the guys on the band were roaming around, and got the chance to talk a little bit with them and to take some pictures, before a whole lot of people recognized them. Of course I mentioned that I had seen this Tiny Desk Concert and that some specific things they had done on the stage that day blew me away. They were really down-to-earth and grateful. Even the bassist, Matali, and the guitarist, Ben, liked the photos on Instagram. Live music is one of the most beautiful things that life has; and to be able to thank personally people that inspire you has absolutely no price.
to everyone who is doing homework, leave the chat, breathe slowly, take a sip of water, and focus to everyone who is trying to sleep, leave the chat, grab a blanket, and get the rest you deserve. to everyone who is feeling sad, grab a snack, get some water, get a blanket, and write down your thoughts. when you're done, lay down, and get some rest, no matter the time. to everyone who is drawing, you got this. you're art is amazing. keep your head up (or down, depends on where your paper is) and remember that you matter. i love you all
This sounds like an end of tour band. They so in-sync it's like an album. Listen to that band. Look how they keep it SO TIGHT and let Jorja do her work.

WHAT
I swear the 21 year olds are running the place first H.E.R and now it’s Jorja😱
This will forever be my favorite version of On My Mind, the musicianship is Masterful!!!
Yes!! It is the Best.
that guitar part in the chorus of on my mind!!
Everything about this performance is beautiful, the band, her effortless voice, whoever's on the sound desk. Stunning

That drummer is in that tasty groove and the palm muted riffs the guitarist throws in is perfect.
She needs to record her new album live and press that on vinyl !
It sounds amazing live !
Not only is her voice INCREDIBLE, ,but I promise you this is THEE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN ON THE PLANET!!!
That drummer is in a pocket so tight, it's turned him into a diamond.

to everyone who is doing homework, leave the chat, breathe slowly, take a sip of water, and focus
to everyone who is trying to sleep, leave the chat, grab a blanket, and get the rest you deserve.
to everyone who is feeling sad, grab a snack, get some water, get a blanket, and write down your thoughts. when you're done, lay down, and get some rest, no matter the time.
to everyone who is drawing, you got this. you're art is amazing. keep your head up (or down, depends on where your paper is) and remember that you matter.
i love you all

So precious. Much love
I can't get her out of my thoughts!!! Her FREQUENCY and VIBE has changed me forever.
Her voice is just perfect, jorja is very talented
This sounds like an end of tour band. They so in-sync it's like an album. Listen to that band. Look how they keep it SO TIGHT and let Jorja do her work.
The guitar on Blue Lights is so hypnotic it’s disturbing, yet still enticing.
My God...Effortless... She was born to do this!
Yes she was :) ua-cam.com/video/rwfc46nmFVE/v-deo.html
