- Raoul Jenkins II was driving to see friends when he had a car accident. His sister and some friends quickly arrived on the scene, finding him shook up and disoriented. When he tried to get out of the car to get some water, he had a seizure and collapsed. Rushed to Prisma Health Richland, testing revealed that Raoul had suffered a ruptured cerebral aneurysm.
A cerebral aneurysm is a bulging or “ballooning” in the wall of a blood vessel in the brain. If an aneurysm grows, it can rupture and lead to bleeding in the brain. In this video, Raoul, his family and Roham Moftakhar, MD tell the story of Raoul’s near-fatal aneurysm and the long road to his astonishing recovery.

I had a brain aneurysm. My name is Latoya Hogarth. My story made the newspaper. I almost died. I was given 3 days to live. My skull was cut also and my veins were clipped. I don't remember 2020 at all. I still owe the hospital. I'm just happy to be alive

I had three brain aneurysm all of them we're coiled and one was sten I thank God every day to be alive

I too can relate to this as well. Couldn’t talk ,eat ,and walk.
But all the Glory to my Lord and savior ☝🏽He put all the Doctors and nurses to help me. And my families and church family’s prayers.
Otherwise I wouldn’t be here today. It’s been almost 6 years.

Wow I feel so lucky after the anyorisim I have very few affects from the bleeding. My eyesight in one eye has some issues but all and all I am back to beong me

49 & Just found one in my communicating artery and I have been forgetting the names of common household items and people’s names over the last few months and have developed a severe ringing in my ears. I get so angry and depressed. Is that normal?
I had a subarachnoid brain hemorrhage 3 weeks ago at the age of 22 :(

I’m 33 still recovering from a very bad ischemic stroke from last year. I just found out that I have an aneurysm in my brain currently.

Exactly, I had a combo where I was in coma and all. Why don't I see those people? AAAA!!! Because there are no survivors of the combo if it ever happens.

19 year old brain is not like a 75 year old.
I had time and most importantly ROOM INSIDE MY BRAIN TO TAKE OVER FOR ALL OF THE TASKS THAT PART OF THE BRAIN ANSWERED FOR.
But, obviously this "new" part is/was unprogrammed...
Basically, i was reborn. My brain was back to 0 years old at 19! I had to learn how to do EVERYTHING all over again. August 2002
