You are my favorite fragrance reviewer. You're observant, informed, engaging, and so animated - I love it! lol Thank you for your hard work and contributions!
Aww thanks so much that's so kind. :) I really just try to keep things light hearted and put smells into words which isn't always easy but, a challenge is good!
You are a joy to watch and listen to. I know you probably receive an overwhelming number of requests, but are you familiar with any of James Heeley's scents? I came across his line of fragrance at a high end department store in Boston, named Louis Boston, which sadly shuttered its doors for good after 85 years of operation. Anyway, I was really taken by James Heeley's line and thought you'd be interested in checking them out in case you haven't already had the chance to do so. In my humble opinion, his Cocobello fragrance is lovely. It's the only other coconut scent, aside from Laura Mercer's Almond Coconut Milk, that doesn't end up smelling too youthful or cloying.
Very good review. This is one of the least popular Chanel fragrance and honestly I don't understand why. So feminine, sexy , classy and elegant. Also very long lasting! I got a lot compliments when I wear it. Of course there are people who just hate that vintage, elegant vibe, but .. yeah I prefer to face that then smell cheap, like a body lotion or like vanilla ..
Hello Thom, I have got this fragrance. My Chanel Allure Sensuelle is of the year 2005. Some time ago I compared the both bottels(Vintage and the new ohne) and I think that the vintage version ist pepperier and spicier than the new version..The reformulated Allure Sensuelle smells more like vanilla..
i have two bottle of this perfume and still wanna buy another one its addictive and its very magnetic perfume .. i think it has a love spell .. its like sex perfume ... im inlove with this perfume..
OMG! I sampled this at my local department store yesterday, where has it been all my life!!!! I'm going to get a bottle next payday, I don't care how expensive it is I'm getting it!
god you must experience the pre reformulation version of it. The original is like 10 times as strong. The juice is even a super deep amber color. lol I have both for some reason.
Just got Antaeus (1981) in the mail and Allure EDP was one of two samples they gave me for free. The other sample is Bleu de Chanel. just tried it (Allure EDP). very good. I smell peach. 🍑
Haha @ the ghost making noise when you spoke about pink pepper :D If I remember correctly, "Pleasures" was the first fragrance with pink pepper as distinct note. Anyway, I will go sniff Sensuelle, as the reformulated Allure is nothing like it was back in the day. Thank you
bonjour, it's my first time on youtube, i am looking for guidance as i have been wearing allure sensuelle for as long as it came out. i discovered it in Dubai before it was for sale in the UK. my opinion of allure sensuelle is it's absolutely unique you sound so passionate that i would love to ask your opinion. as someone 46 yrs of age having worn allure sensuelle for nearly 15 years, i would love to find a perfume that i would like to wear. since you are so knowledgeable i would love you to help me find a perfume that i could like despite allure sensuelle merci
smells similar to poeme by lancome. more refined, for sure, with a lot more going on, but still quite similar. although i'm not an expert when it comes to feminine frags.
Hi Tal! Thanks for your comment. Oh wow you think it smells similar? I don't get a similarity at all. Poeme is way richer with tons of vanilla, incense and a kinda golden floral thing. Poeme is way more "90's" and bold! both are great fragrances though| :)
I bought this one because I remember what a strong and quite unusual fragrance was it. But as I started using it I realized that, maybe a newer version?, it reminds me a lot of Coco mademoiselle intense, which I have and not very keen on. So all in all I like just Allure edp the most.
Speaking of anosmia, I have a question. Are there certain notes or fragrances that you just can't detect? Have you ever heard of that as a phenomenon? I ask because I literally can not smell D&G's Light Blue. I mean I seriously can not detect it. You could spray it right in my face, and I would think you'd sprayed me with water. It makes me sad because whenever someone describes the scent of it to me, it sounds so lovely and fresh. It's like my nose is "blind" to Light Blue. It's just the weirdest thing! Am I a freak?
+C Lindemann Hello! Oh no you're not a freak at all. I've heard of this many times before. There may be notes I cannot detect but it's hard to tell unless you're smelling them individually. I've worked with a lot of essential oils on their own and have never had any trouble smelling them. I HOPE there aren't any I can't smell, that would be upsetting haha. I'd hate to miss out on the smell of something. :)
I was looking at that recently actually, I was considering getting it to review!!! It's either going to be that one or the original Eau Des Merveilles. I actually haven't smelled the Ambre one before. :)
Fantastic review, Thomas! Thank you so much. I am a Dior and Chanel lover but have not smelled this yet. Will correct that error this week. Cannot wait! Again, thanks for giving us such wonderful reviews. You answered every question I had about this fragrance. I am so stoked to go smell it. Mwah!
I got a tester parfum of this (before ebay got strict with tester sales) and it is probably my favourite scent EVER. The pure perfume is pretty powerful (ahem, I did once have a man turn up his nose at me on a bus, on a hot summer's day). Not sure about the other concentrations but I will always love this scent. It IS sexy, as intended. Hope Chanel never stop producing it! The big sister, Allure, I have a tester parfum of too and I like it, but I still go back to Sensuelle.
Dammit I did it again. Watched your reveiw and ended up buying another perfume 😂🤦♀️ Chanel has never really been my style, I like a few of their scents, just..on other people lol. They just never suit me; I'm not that elegant and refined. But this one, the allure sensuelle..after watching this I just had to go out and smell it and omg, I was sold straight away. I intended on getting a 30 ml but now a 50ml sits smugly on my dresser
Hi ya!!! Brilliant review as always ... your going to make us very lazy mate... After watching your reviews I never log on to fragrantica.com anymore...come to think of it it's been ages since i logged on to fragrantica , your reviews are really detailed and wonderful. I have smelled this & it does have an allure of sophistication to it... aptly named i must say... better than the original in my opinion... 2 questions ... 1. Do you think I can pull it off or is it an overly feminine perfume? 2. What do you think of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, and Chanel Chance Parfum ?Chanel No. 5 Parfum version I find is too powdery and I prefer the Chanel No. 5 Eau de Toilette version It's fresh and spicy... Which one do you like?
+John Bernard Hi John, how are you? Well..I think a man can pull off any fragrance if he's confident enough. It's down to the individual. If you mean.."is it masculine?" then..I'd say no, it's very obviously a feminine fragrance if you have to put it in a box. Mademoiselle I think is absolutely gorgeous, but...I'm not sure Id' ever buy it, only because I don't think I can pull it off, I have some VERY feminine fragrances but that one I feel is past even my threshold haha. Chance I also like, it's a spiky spicy one, not one Id buy though and no 5? I've never liked. I think it smells musty and old. Just not my style. :) The BEST Chanel I have ever smelled and has been on my want list for years is "Coromandel" from the exclusifs line. Omg it's stunning...you should smell it if you haven't :)
I'm fine mate... I hope your doing great as well. Thank you for taking the time out to reply to msgs. I really really appreciate it... mmm.. never smelled Coromondel I hope they have it here in the Malls Some fragrances are hard to come by here in India .. nevertheless I will try to get my nose on that.... Thanks agin for another wonderful review can't wait for next review :) Cheers!
No probs! It's usually in airports, the bigger ones. Or In Chanel boutiques so, yes..it is kinda hard to find. I've also seen it some BIG department stores so I guess it depends on where you are. I think you told me before!!
i have 100 full bottle of this beauty! to me it is a very uniqe fragrance. like versace crystal noir, it has a little bit of everything...spicy, sweet, sour, bitter ect. on me it starts metalic spicy scent. i find it smell different on summer..(more sweet...) and heat. in my opinion the 'sensuelle' note is musk. looking for your top 3 chanels frags...😊 thank you!
I have this, its so sexy but don't use often. Need to be in a mini black dress with this one. I live in a hot climate so can't wear it much, I wish the vanilla didn't project so much on me, I end up getting intergestion from it. Mabe I should get the original, but sensual was the one I picked in comparison with my nose.
It's lovely! I can't imagine how it would work in a hot climate. Sweet things are usually a bit overbearing. Have you tried the new Dior Joy? It's very much like Allure but a bit brigher.
+David A. Quiroa I think it's really down to the individual. It's not a masculine scent by any means but, if you're confident enough to wear it? why not? :)

CHANEL ALLURE SENSUELLE EDP is so gorgeous!
OMG! I sampled this at my local department store yesterday, where has it been all my life!!!! I'm going to get a bottle next payday, I don't care how expensive it is I'm getting it!
It's a good one right? So chanelly and gorgeous haha
I just bought it yesterday.. i sprayed one spray and now I am in heaven 10 hours later. Feels likw red velvet
This is my moms favorite perfume of all time!
All I have to say is it. Is. Lovely... I won’t be wearing this one to work.... I’m not looking for followers 🙂
I love pink pepper in fragrances too!
I’d love to try this! I just received my original allure edt and I’m in love. I’d be interested in layering them!
Cool idea!
god you must experience the pre reformulation version of it. The original is like 10 times as strong. The juice is even a super deep amber color. lol I have both for some reason.
+BrighterThanYours That would be cool, but I guess hard to find now. Chanel reformulated ALL of their fragrances as did many other brands. boooooo!
BrighterThanYours I have this amber color one! It's really potent! Love it so much 💞
Just got Antaeus (1981) in the mail and Allure EDP was one of two samples they gave me for free. The other sample is Bleu de Chanel. just tried it (Allure EDP). very good. I smell peach. 🍑
I adore its dry down...magical
Very beautiful, one I've never owned but would in a heartbeat. :)
@@ouch110 it is my signature for years...I never get bored of it and it is always amazing

I like this strong note of vetiver in this. I tried this only on paper.
smells similar to poeme by lancome. more refined, for sure, with a lot more going on, but still quite similar. although i'm not an expert when it comes to feminine frags.

I adore your videos! So many perfumes on my list. Divin' Enfant is my scent of the day. Thank you so much for your reviews!
+Brian Gouchie Aww thanks Brian. You're very welcome. Ah I LOVE divin Enfant, I will hopefully be purchasing it soon. It's an unusual one. :)
I bought this one because I remember what a strong and quite unusual fragrance was it. But as I started using it I realized that, maybe a newer version?, it reminds me a lot of Coco mademoiselle intense, which I have and not very keen on. So all in all I like just Allure edp the most.
You do so wonderful reviews!!
I think I need this one, sounds so beautiful.
Thank you so much!

+C Lindemann Maybe it's a fake.
I cannot smell Jo malone wood sage and sea salt
One day i sprayed 2 perfumes and they smelt of pepper. Just pepper. It was horrible.
I had the same problem! Lol However, I heard the new version Dolce Gabana Light blue Intense is so much better!!! ;-) we shall see!
Great great reviews! Can you do a review on Chanel Coco Noir?
Thank you. I really hope to, I need to get my hands on a sample. :(
Love your reviews. I learn a lot about perfume from you. Thanks!

i love this one. im a guerlain and Chanel lover. what about l ambre des merveilles from hermes?
I was looking at that recently actually, I was considering getting it to review!!! It's either going to be that one or the original Eau Des Merveilles. I actually haven't smelled the Ambre one before. :)
Great episode. Thank you.
I'm going to get this now
Hope you enjoy it! To me some of the more alluring fragrances from Chanel are Bois Des Iles & Coco Mademoiselle
I loved all your reviews. Thank you.
+Angel Wong Thank you, my reviews love you too. :)

What about Allure Sensuelle EDT version, is it long lasting? Which one is better?
I haven't tried the EDT version sorry!
What is your preference Allure or sensuelle?
I think both are great, but Sensuelle has the edge. It's just a tiny bit more interesting. :)

+Alcoholic Nun Yes it is. :)
This is one of my favourite perfumes collection. Sexy smell..cudn't agree more..great review Ouch 👍- love from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Hello Snow White! How are the dwarves? Yes it is a lovely one, and has been on my want list for quite some time now. I still do not own a bottle. :(
Great review❤
Glad you liked it!!
Great review Ouch
Thank you!
I wonder if this is Allure with brass knuckles and a whip! 😄😆😀
So - do you think a man can wear this easily?
+David A. Quiroa I think it's really down to the individual. It's not a masculine scent by any means but, if you're confident enough to wear it? why not? :)
is it suitable for a man to wear?
+Pantu Patel I think it's a feminine fragrance but, it's up to the individual. If you're confident enough? Why not? :)
Hahah laughed out loud with the way u said "sensual note...?!"
+Brace Raid Well..what on earth is it? haha It could be anything?
Why do you have to stand up ?! Relax set on a chair
+broadcastneo Haha, sometimes I do. It depends where I do my review and how easy the camera is to set up. :)
❤❤❤
