Actually, it’s “Paris-Paris” 😅😌 The fragrances in this collection are all named after a journey from Paris to another destination (like Paris-Biarritz etc, Biarritz being a well known Spa destination in south France), except from that one, which is just “from Paris to Paris”. ☺️
Love me some Chanel! Yes, the "s" is usually pronounced when the next word begins with a vowel. I'm sure there are exceptions, though. 😄 I love Jersey, it's probably my favorite lavender/vanilla fragrance. Cheers, Tom.
For me, Coromandel is the biggest hit here (I also like Paris-Paris but it doesn’t have the it factor so to speak!). I think it’s absolutely classy and sensuous. I believe I love Coromandel because it reminds me of my all time favorite perfume Shalimar.
Oh my gosh, try and get a sample of the latest Les Exclusifs Le Lion de Chanel if you haven't tried it already. To me it is utterly sublime. Like wearing a beautiful soft leathery, smokey powder cloud around you, but it also does project. It makes my eyes roll back in my head.
I know what you mean about them overlapping. I was so confused by them at first, but the more time I had with them the more I could see the differences and they grew on me.
The main note in Jersey fragrance it’s lavender because the colour lavender associates the best with this particular fabric, traditional in France….French Terry jersey material, this comes in a beautiful lavender colour, it’s soft and simple and feels like a cashmere. 31 Rue Cambon it’s supposed to smell like couture fashion and especially like the famous Chanel 22 bags …they spray this particular fragrance in the store located in 31 Rue Cambon. Paris - Venise from Les Eaux line is really good, has the Coco Noir DNA No 22 is amazing, gives a No 5 vibe , it’s lovely. Coromandel is my favourite as well, so addictive
Vichy's anti-spot cream Liftactiv B3 SPF 50 contains niacinamide and vitamin C to reduce dark spots and protect the skin from UV rays. It hydrates the skin for 24 hours, reduces the appearance of fine lines and improves skin texture. Ideal for mature and blemished ski
My favourite one is Chanel 22 (also the oldest formula). Aldehydic floral with an incense base, I love it! Many of the other ones share an aromachemical that makes me partly anosmic resulting in all smelling very similar 🤷♀️ I have a finicky weird nose - why??
The good thing about Chanel, they are one of the only companies that actually make their perfumes. So, they are more niche than most of the other houses. If I can say that there are I few houses still standing on there own out there. Since most of them were bought out by corporations at this point.
I love your personality :) I don’t own any Chanels but I have a bit of a crush right now on Chanel Chance Eau Tendre. I know it’s overly hyped and maybe basic (?) but I just can’t stop sniffing the paper I sprayed it on :)) Anyway, keep up the great work, stay cool in London 😎
Hello, I’m sorry to hear that the Exclusifs line didn’t do much for you. Myself, I love them ALL :). The note you’re smelling is in all the Chanel fragrances is call Aldehyde. Cheers from AZ, USA.
My first fragrance memory was sneaking into my parent's room to sniff my mom's perfume bottle (the only fragrance she owned at that time), was Chanel Number 5. I was a young child so this was the impression of someone who's sense of smell was acute. I pulled off the cap and put the atomizer to my nose and was horrified. I wondered why anyone would choose to smell like that. Needless to say I had no desire to spray it or spray it on myself. I have to say it made me prejudice against trying anything or even sampling anything from the house. I do see that they are quite popular currently on social media, in part because they were one of the last houses to start putting up the cost of their fragrances. The other would be that aldehydic notes seem to becoming a little more popular again. Perhaps I will give a few a sniff the next time I walk by a Chanel fragrance counter and see if my opinion of the fragrances has changed. I may not be someone who the Chanel DNA appeals to. Have a good day Tom! - Jenn
Hi Tom! Looking gorgeous as ever:) Boy! I'm amazed at how precise your descriptions are! I am not a fan of Chanel les exclusifs line, nor can I afford them. I haven't smelled them in a while but you have just reminded me how I love Jersey. I do find it a really zen kind of fragrance. Greetings from Argentina!
Biarritz is a town on the Atlantic near Spain. It's very popular in France. The perfume smells more Italian/ Mediterranean... not sure I'd associate it with the ocean. For the jersey and the lavender: people sometimes put lavender in the closets to make clothes smell nice, so maybe that's the link
I think that 31 Rue Cambon smells like a softer version of Bois des Iles (my fave of the Les Exclusifs) I wore #5 and #22 for years but now all of Chanel is out of my price range. I do get those samples to wear, so my little sample collection from ebay and the decant sites is getting larger.
Tommmm…..you’re just smelling Sycomore?!?! Coromandel is my all time favorite perfume on earth. Sycomore is also pretty up there, I think vetiver on women is so classy.
Ipad is raving 😆 Those phone & ipad covers really do soak up fragrances. P.s. My favorites are Le Lion & Coromandel. I'm looking forward to trying more this year..
I heard so many people (mainly men but some women) rave and rave about Sycamore. I tried it, and I was sorely disappointed. It is nohting but vetiver, and vetiver is not one of my favourite notes. Anyone who adores vetiver would do well. to buy Donna Karan Woman. It is as good as Sycamore for a fraction of the price. 31 Rue Cambon is indeed the best of that lot followed by 1932. Just my opinion of course.....
Sycomore is my real obsession and one of their best sellers !! Please, get your hands on the EDT version. Ecre Noir is the cheap and easy alternative to it.
Ha I remember I was given a bottle on Chanel No5 as a gift when I was 16. I thought it smelled like Raid ! I’ve tried it several times since thinking in my 60s I could handle a mature sophisticated scent, but I still dislike it. I liked the Gabrielle gardenia/tuberose sent , but it faded off the paper too quickly and there are several other gardenia scents that last longer. I do love Allure and I’m usually not a fan of those vanilla powdery fragrances (Shalimar comes to mind.) However the Bergamot makes it right for me and I get compliments on it. As with all Chanel perfumes I barely spray a light mist and step into it verses directly spraying it on my skin or clothing. I was also gifted a bottle of Coco Noir which I appreciate on rare occasions after a bath and during an at home spa night. It’s a tad overpowering for me, but I like the more floral subtle after effect which reminds me of a funeral room full of every type of flower. It’s interesting and very complex which I appreciate. My true preference is definitely lighter fruity florals, white flowers or some heady florals like Jasmine,Ylang Ylang, with spicier Asian Florals last. I loved Alfred Sung back in the 80s though. I’ll have to try the sensual version of Allure since it’s the only Channel perfume I’ll spend money on. I do like them on others and most give off their scent for a long time. Even the weaker light versions of Channel perfumes are not pleasant to my nose, too chemical synthetic smelling. I also don’t like the fact that they stepped their high end brand down with the ‘pop looking’ tinted colors of some of their perfumes. I know it’s marketing to draw in the youth who normally wear Bath & Body sprays. Thanks for your reviews as always ! 💕
I've got Paris-Venise which is very beautiful and has a lovely smooth Iris but I don't reach for it very often as it makes me feel sad 😞 I'm guessing that's the Iris or maybe I'm just sad because it doesn't last very long 😊
HAHAHA! Loved your comments when you were smelling 1957! My big splurge years and years ago on Chanel was 31 Rue Cambon and you nailed it on how it smells. I really want to buy Cuir de Russie but I can't get over the price, so maybe it will never be. oxJulia
have you ever tried anything by the swiss brand ys-uzac? i’ve been really interested in trying the fragrance satin doll by them!! but i can’t find many reviews.
I have smelt most of them recently while at Dublin airport. Lovely sales lady! However, most of the fragrances in this line smell too linear and soapy to me. They are very elegant, for sure, but they were lacking in personality, I could not pick one that would wow me.
love your vids , truly I do !! My feelings about Chanel...meh . Vero Kern ( RIP ) created an amazing lavendar called KIKI , now a lost unicorn . My fave Chanel is the vintage Cuir de Russie parfum , but I enjoy the orris note they use in alot of the Les Exclusifs . For the money , give me Papillon , Ahwaz , Lorga or Baruti scents .
Love your instincts regarding perfumes and your enthusiasm&love for them!!! but you need some geography lessons LOL :D :D Biarritz is a famous surfer town on the Atlantic coast and Java is the main island of Indonesia :) :)
Tom when will you come back?😟
Thomas come back to us. We miss you

31 Rue Cambon is my favorite of all the Channels I own. It gets even more beautiful when the mid-notes, all the florals, make an appearance!
Love me some Chanel! Yes, the "s" is usually pronounced when the next word begins with a vowel. I'm sure there are exceptions, though. 😄 I love Jersey, it's probably my favorite lavender/vanilla fragrance. Cheers, Tom.
31 Rue de Cambon is sooooo good..

@@ouch110 Ooo I'll hunt that out. Love to see what you thought.

Hope you are well darling. Miss you! 💚
No.22's 100th anniversary this year.
Chanel's 70ml Exclusif bottles are the more affordable choice.
Are you still making videos? I haven’t seen anything new in awhile
I really love your channel and your personality
Yes I am! :) I have done 4 recently.
Le Lion is my favorite
Nice shelf, I'm digging the background
My favourite one is Chanel 22 (also the oldest formula). Aldehydic floral with an incense base, I love it! Many of the other ones share an aromachemical that makes me partly anosmic resulting in all smelling very similar 🤷♀️ I have a finicky weird nose - why??
I hope you are ok dear. ❤
I watched you since I was in high school and every time I see the same intro it brings memories to me, Nostalgic. I'm truly happy you didn't stop
I love Jersey, it reminds me of American Cream by Lush with lavender instead of sage.

I adore Paris - Paris! I own most of the others on this list but that is new current obsession! Already have a back up bottle!
My signature is 1957. It’s like me in a bottle.
I looove Paris-paris! I am planning to get one in this year. By the way in ‘Les eaux de chanel’, s does have sound.
I love Jersey, it's so lovely in summer.
Rue Cambon smells like coco mad edp on my coworker - not the way it smells on me, but with it did! I really like Rue Cambon
Gardenia for me please and I love the video xo
I love Beige by Chanel!
you pronounced it right the first time :)
Le Lion is amazing❤
I love your personality :) I don’t own any Chanels but I have a bit of a crush right now on Chanel Chance Eau Tendre. I know it’s overly hyped and maybe basic (?) but I just can’t stop sniffing the paper I sprayed it on :)) Anyway, keep up the great work, stay cool in London 😎
I have been curious about 1957 and thanks for sharing your thoughts on it!

Comparing 1932 to 1957, which one smells more floral and soft? Thanks for your review!

You are so much fun to watch ❤️
Great video I love a lot of Chanel‘s perfumes but my all-time favourite has to be number 5 Gardinia it’s really nice to
Peaking…. It’s been a while. I hope you are doing well!
I would like to try Beige and 1957, but Chanel usually leaves me mehhh...

Ok Where are you????
Wonderful review.. love your honesty..
Can you do a review of Chanel’s boi des iles. I know you love sandal and floral notes. Cheers 🥂
Ipad is raving 😆 Those phone & ipad covers really do soak up fragrances. P.s. My favorites are Le Lion & Coromandel. I'm looking forward to trying more this year..
I’m not a big Chanel fan. My favorites are Coromandel and vintage Coco parfum.
Lol Ouch going Gollum on Coromandel 😀👍

Yes 31 Rue Cambon and 1932 remind me alot of each other!
But 1957 is very different. Maybe try it on its own another day.
Enjoyed your video! ❤️
Hi! You do say Les Eaux with the s/z sound in-between. Well done for the review!
Ha I remember I was given a bottle on Chanel No5 as a gift when I was 16. I thought it smelled like Raid ! I’ve tried it several times since thinking in my 60s I could handle a mature sophisticated scent, but I still dislike it.

1957 left me totally underwhelmed. I really wanted to love it but I could barely smell it.
Loved the video! Surprised to hear that you have Chance Eau Vive. Would love to know what you think of it. 🤔
I hope you are ok dear !
I really want to buy Cuir de Russie but I can't get over the price, so maybe it will never be. oxJulia

I could hardly smell 1957 but woke up the next morning noticing the smell of expensive smelling creamy musky lotion - it was 1957
I have smelt most of them recently while at Dublin airport.
Best colection to men 21age???
Love your instincts regarding perfumes and your enthusiasm&love for them!!! but you need some geography lessons LOL :D :D Biarritz is a famous surfer town on the Atlantic coast and Java is the main island of Indonesia :) :)
