@leonvdo58 Oh, absolutely! Australia has been doing that no doubt. “Just like countless other countries.” But what makes this video different from Australia, Is the DIY aspect, of course! I mean, you know what DIY stands for, right? Considering the fact this is a homemade project from an ordinary guy. Just curious if you really grasp the difference between DIY and the oh-so-fancy PRO, aka industrial or factory methods PS: if you in Australia have been only doing that for over 10 plus years, then you’re well behind from the rest of other countries mate. Just saying
I was making them over 20 years ago we used 16 inch pushy's driven of the rear tire. 20 cents to fill the tank and the local petrol station had a marine premix in 44 galon drums
That sounds like a great project! DIYing your own weed eater can be an exciting challenge. Using welding and metalworking skills could help you create a unique and functional tool. What kind of modifications are you thinking about for your design?

Wow, Cyclemaster! That’s a classic, right? The Cyclemaster is a motorized bicycle, popular in the 1950s, where the motor was built into the wheel to save the rider from having to pedal so much. It’s pretty unique and fun! Do you own one?
@ yep, about 1960-61. Great fun. Wish I had it now. I also had a ‘50’s Lambretta van. Wide front cab with roof and a roller rear door to back of van body. 3 gears, and, press a pedal on the floor gave a reverse.
Thanks for your comments! I understand that some ideas may be more suitable for people with experience in the mechanical industry. However, I also want to encourage people to try new projects, thank you for your interest and sharing, wish you a good day
I was making whipper snipper powered bikes over 20 years ago when I was a kid. I used a 16 inch push bike and use whatever I can find to drive of the rear tire. Skateboard wheels where a little to big. The best solution was a couple 14mm nuts locked to the motor shaft worked wonders

wow, that's a great job! But I have a question: why do you put an old brake on the back if you don't have a remote for it? So you only have the front brake?
Thank you! Currently, I prioritize installing the front brake because it is the most important part to control speed. I install the rear brake to prepare for upgrading with a remote control in the future. I really appreciate your attention to this detail!

Good idea but why did you cut brake wheel and got rid of rear brake? If you had sprocket maybe smaller and not cut brake plate just put spacers between brake wheel and sprocket if you have to that way you would still have rear brake? And guard for the chain if that chain brakes it could kill you? From Canada you know here we are all about safety

I see you have about 3:1 gear reduction (40/14). At 6000 rpm your wheel will be spinning at 2000 rpm. Assuming a tire circumference of 6.75 feet, your bike will travel 13,500 feet per minute or about 2.5 miles per minute, or 150 miles per hour, 240 km/hour! Dang that is fast! Assuming you go 48 km/h your engine will be turning 400 rpm?

Good idea but why did you cut brake wheel and got rid of rear brake? If you had sprocket maybe smaller and not cut brake plate just put spacers between brake wheel and sprocket if you have to that way you would still have rear brake? And guard for the chain if that chain brakes it could kill you? From Canada you know here we are all about safety
Hi, nice to chat with youThanks for your comment! You are absolutely right about the importance of keeping the rear brake. Next time, I will try a different adjustment to ensure better safety. Thanks for sharing from Canada! Thanks for your concern and sharing, have a nice day

Hello, nice to chat with you, Wow, you calculated very detailed! I am surprised with such speed! 😮 Thank you for sharing the information, thank you for caring and sharing, wish you a good new day
Эта конструкция таких оборотов не разовьет из-за маленькой мощности мотора и большой нагрузки. 6000 об/мин это без нагрузки.
👍🚴super
