Thanks for this. My old WP theme has finally become incompatible so I am looking to rebuild the site from scratch using the 2024WP theme. I'm pulling my hair out on this WP UI for the Blocks. How does one simply place text on the page and adjust the width of the text block? For example a floating centered paragraph that is not the full width of the page but say 70% of the width. You are supposed to be able to place assets where you need them but this is not obvious. Are we supposed to place the text into some colums then adjust the outer colums? Also how do you make the entire base page black? Sorry for the pedantic questions! Cheers!
Unfortunately they don't make it easy, there's no default easy setting to do it. I've had to resort to CSS code and giving the paragraph a class to make it happen
Hi! I have an issue with WordPress. I have bought web template from envato. I installed it and then pressed on customize, then I was shocked to see a simple web model with retro cars collection. I thought that the author of that web template was a scam, but then I tried to customize the web templates from WordPress itself and then the same thing happened there: Retro car collection (text: "some of our Favorite Cars, from classic to modern".) However with some other templates there's no problem about it and they're working fine. Is it some kind of a default function of WordPress or what? Hope you can help me.
That definitely sounds like a Theme issue. I have to say, the few themes i bought feom Envato have been unmeccearily complex - notnsure about all of them, but i definitely prefer simpler themes. Have you considered a drag and drop builder like Divi? I have bunch of tutorials on my channel page if that helps: ua-cam.com/play/PLsaZXe5Zf2eHdnOQldePh8O3yyx036DSn.html Otherwise, id explore free themes first if you havent already
TOP video!

@@WadeMcMaster I just read if you turn the text into a group it give you more options for padding.
Oh that's a good find! I didn't realize that
