Looks like you got a start for a hobo camp, and it looks good sitting next to BIG STEAM.
The Erie and Rock Island road names are now sold out on Lionel's site. They are now accepting preorders on 4 more road names: Ann Arbor, Cotton Belt, Frisco, and Western of Alabama. I froze the video at one point because I thought that I saw "Made in Vietnam." I wasn't sure because you were holding the boxcar upside down. Anyway, I was correct. So Lionel's rolling stock is made in the USA, China, Korea, and Vietnam.

I have one of the RI ones on order but havne't received it / shipped yet, but have been intrigued by the idea of these and getting mine to see what it's like. From what I see on your review these look like a lot of fun to have in the mix of a consist. I'm excited to get mine after seeing yours - thanks!

Going to order a Frisco Hobo car, seen they were due for the first quarter of 2023
It might look good with patches of weathering like the top of the box car and the box car doors , and maybe other areas use some kind of weathering that has rust on it as well, to make it seem like it’s a beaten up and used box car
I picked mine up last week, an Erie, and I really enjoy it. Would like one in a Lackawanna Livery. Wish there was a switch so that you can have just the screech, just the hobo, or both. The detail on the car is really nice. Anyone understand the last statement on the recording? I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to your other videos.

Fantastic review Ben! As soon as I saw this car in action, i became hooked on it immediately. Now I need to get my hands on one of those cars.
Cool car and great review, Ben. Agree on the weathering. I want to start doing a little weathering myself and need some recommendations on a decent airbrush for beginners. That may be a good topic for an upcoming Tuesday night Train Talk.

Very nice review, I paused the video to see if I could tell if the trucks were half plastic and half metal. I did see this one is made in Vietnam as well. I noticed alot of Lionel products two years ago started being made in Vietnam. The sounds on the car are neat. Seems like a great freight car. It was hard to tell on video if it was scale sized or traditional sized. I do like your Santa Fe articulated auto rack, I seen you had some other cool modern rolling stock such as TTX and CSX high cube box cars.
Car is full scale, trucks are metal. Yea I def love modern stuff 😂 Thanks for watching.

I’m gonna have to find one of the Erie cars. I wasn’t sure if I wanted one or not. I do collect Lionel’s hobo accessories so it would go well with them.
Absoulutely loved this car with it's great sounds! Is there a cattle car available with the sounds of cows etc? Broadway do one in HO and its a hoot.

My grandpa collected Melody in motion music boxes and my favorite one was the railroad crossing hobo willie whistling Chattanooga Choo Choo

Nice car. It needs some graffiti. It's weird how model train builders don't also model some of the more interesting train graffiti art. Real trains with actual hobos would have all kinds of tags on them.
