- One of the best things about slowing down to the pace of island life means that laid back days seem to just naturally evolve into meeting locals, playing with the kids and exploring the island (at just the right pace).
We hired scooters and spent today exploring the inland roads of the island, visiting one of the local schools, admiring the harbour and learning about the history of the island.

I wonder if the islanders recycle their plastics, empty bottles & cans.
Any inside info on when the borders might open? I've been looking to spend my honeymoon in Rarotonga and Aitutaki since 2019 :'(((
