When I was a kid I used to believe that spamming auto attack would make you attack faster, nowadays that it hardwired into my brain and I just spam unconsciously so I don't have range issues with any class lol
I would venture to say your kid self was correct. Not in terms of biking in GTA San Andreas, but in terms of the auto attack not auto’ing pretty constantly unless that’s just me lmao
i think farming the nulagth items are one of the most enjoyable things in aqw, so id say if you feel like the game is getting stale you should 100% go for it as you would have stuff to do for a good while
Once you get all of the endgame classes in in the game, VHL will feel normal. Idk how some people would feel but personally, once I got CAv, I realized that it's pretty much just like VHL except it leans towards defense. VHL felt normal and I didn't stick around it for too long. It somehow lost its luster (personally) when they shortened its range and lowered its damage (a bit). LR feels more usable at this point. It can solo (certain bosses), support, and farm. It's much worth getting than VHL (again, in my opinion). Edit: For players wishing this class, try to do Wheel quests in conjunction with Swindle's Return Policy and Drudgen's The Salesman quest, do make sure that you bank your voucher so you can loop The Salesman quest without problems (save the voucher in the drop list and take the one in your bank, once the quest is done, pick the reagents you want and bank the new voucher, vice versa). If you're not getting any vouchers in the wheel quest, you can get one from Swindle's merge shop, and if you're lacking any of the reagents you want; make sure that you save those receipts (and unidentified 10s) so you can chose the desired reagent

You just have to be able to spend at least 1-2 hours a day for dedicated farming for roentegium and maybe an extra 1 or 2 for for void crystals A and B. And all of that for just 17 days. I think the bias that vhl is hard to farm is due to the assumption that the items needed are so many and it does get confusing from time to time but that's basically it.

I think half of the ranged issues can be solved by using the 'Freeze/Lock Monster Position' option, honestly I never farm in public rooms (or even private rooms) without that option turned on
the whole 'I can't attack from a distance' thing is extremely minor. this class is almost perfect, even with the nerfs. I know we can get complacent and lazy at times, but attacking from a distance is not a huge issue. just click one more button to stand in range, then your issue with the class is null

You should farm Legion Revenant dude. It's a very versatile class and you won't regret getting it as it can support, farm and solo. Its skill has infinite AoE so nothing should be an issue for you.

Personally i dont think vhl deserved the nerf even if its still a great soloing class. The amount of time to farm it very much exceeds most if not all and the effort is much more as well since its items required needs some luck as its not 100% drop rate. Although i cant compare the old to the new vhl since i just got it after a whole year of farming and taking a long break then getting back and finishing it post nerf i still believe vhl deserves more and not less.
if you dont have a solid soloer class i suggest you to farm chaos avenger instead. the amount of time and effort you need to get vhl is sooo unnecessary. same goes with nsod, get exalted apotheosis instead. theres an easy way to farm nsod but it still takes alot of time, and you have to be a member in order to do that. it soo stupid. this is the reason why ae made CA and EA. because they are fully committed and cant make the vhl and nsod farming easy. its way more efficient to farm ca and ea. edit: oh, if you realy want to feel your hard farming was worth it. farm legion revenant instead.that class is almost good at everything. true its harder to farm than vhl but its quests are easy to understand and there are no rng nonsense ( except if you dont have a paragon pet) and make sure to grab the shogun pet when it return in dages birthday.
I just think it would be cool for an option so the game automatically presses the 1 for us if we’re out of range then when we don’t want to use it, just toggle it off.
Honestly completing a quest for either dage or nulgath to get anything worthwhile or cool in this game is such a headache even if you pay to have the pets
I'm getting the Nulgath Birthday Gift pet this January. It's more reliable, I think, for the Nulgath reagent farming. It's only 1500 AC and Seasonal, so much cheaper than the Oblivion Blade pet...
@@sharbel6573 there is a setting to lock the monster in place so it will never move around, just turn on "freeze / lock monster position" in the advanced options
should be a range class tbh it makes no sense how the animation is throwing swords from a distance but you have to go into melee range to attack a target.
auto attack works fine... just click on the monster then click 1 and it will walk you over to where you can auto attack it. not hard. You can also freeze the mob in place so even if there was multiple people your melee would not be effected at all.
They should've just made shackle and unshackle mid-range IMO, the range nerf really hurts specially in public room where random people will drag the boss around
The last update it got ruined the class. Without range on most skills it's awkward to use. Was a great class before, but it got hit too hard. At the very least they can make the auto attack be infinite range.

Also never use shackle and unshackle at the same time Korey, shackle cancels out the damage buff from unshackle and vice versa. For DPS use unshacke, armageddon, highlords gaze over and over (make sure you always use unshackle before armageddon) because this does also introduce a HoT although it's not as good as the alternative of shackle highlords gaze and armageddon.
Since 4 makes you do more damage and 2 overwrites 4, you just need to make sure you use 2 and 5 while 4 (Unshackle) is active. A good way to do this is to just always use 4 immediately after using 2.

8:30 a correction of what u said, brother. VHL's damage does not increase infinitely, it has limits. skill 5 applies Abyssal Sacrifice to the target reducing its defense against physical and magical attacks by 5% for 20 sec, stack up to 50% (used to stack up to 100% but only physical) so when Abyssal Sacrifice is at max stacks your damage stops growing, Shaman and Evolved Shaman are the only classes that has absolutely no limits of damage, it just keeps going like, forever and never stops. you can see that in a video I uploaded of Shaman, reached 7M damage per hit and it can be even more. left a like btw.
For the gold farm I recommend fireplanewar, the medals give 2k plus getting the kill quest gets 2k too, so 4k each 3 or 4 monsters, but they hit like a truck and have 6000 Health so low levels beware Also there's an unstable weapon there that gives 30% damage which is good for vhl non premium players or players that don't bother getting nsod
@@jeeeysonmyfeet that's not bad too, but if you don't want to have a too many quest complete in you face then fireplanewar is better also to it gives quite the xp when stacked with boost so x2 from event x2 from xp boost plus 30% on item easily got to lvl100 and if you have a party you could do it much faster Also to fully utilize the quest you stack both medals plus 2 of the quest there and go to the area that has 3 monsters then your set to get 8k on both xp and gold plus the boost and you get a lot of xp plus gold in no time Recommended classes are lr, SC, swot, vhl, Ap, lc or any stable farm tank class with a team you could get much better results, I don't recommend vampire lord because of its nerf and last skill Anyway go for anyone who's planning to farm this or anything else
The range is a really dumb nerf, even if people were farming with vhl why nerf range? I mean classes with aoe abilities already kill mobs faster? Just because some people use it for farming unefficiently doesnt mean its as good as a farming class? Damage is there but single target makes it bad for it ultimately. The skill lag thats a you problem not the game. I always play with all the animations off due to the fact that i know even on servers as Sir ver with a few players alone in a map with all animations off there is still lag. Why do you expect it to be better with the animation on. This game biggest problem was always the lag and is still is. That why im excited for the mobile version. I've seen no lag there. If u wanna have less lag then now just stop using the class animation. The game literally gave u the means to do that due to Spider working for Ae. Before u rly couldn't do anything about that cuz they didn't have the function to turn animation off. I mean they tried something and they failed. But now is all a quality of life improvement. Plus if u play smaller resolution u have less lag then if u play full screen. Turn graphics on low. There are so manny fixes only if u want.
Its way easier lol i farmed crystal A and roent x5 as a free player just to see how hard it is and its not much, just hour and a half a day which pretty much everyone without family can give xD

Real talk, it took me 23 day to farm that class, and i'm really tired, and i level up to 4 levels, now that i'm level 54, i feel like, do i need to keep playing if i have the void highlord class with badge and archfiend class which juust happen to be reworked?????
@judechristopher2162 my comment was 2 years ago, so things might have changed by then. You can literally solo pretty much everything and anything, some might require a potion or two but for everyday questing it made everything mundane
VHL and LR have different jobs and can't really be compared directly. VHL will perform miles ahead of LR on a hard hitting boss or single target burst situations, whereas LR is vastly superior for farming

Just double click the monster or press auto attack when targeting it and you will automatically get in melee range

Literally only the range of 2 skills and some minor other stuff changed. It's still the best non chrono soloer in the game

once i reached lvl 50 i start farming vhl then at lvl 75 i obtain it
If you experience the VhL before the nerf. The VhL now feels like trash. I rather use DoT or LR in group fight or solo.
Both are worse than VHL at soloing damage wise.

That HoT is VHL's rank 10 passive. Optimal DPS uses both 2 and 4. You have to try and keep both Soul Void and Soul Fend up at the same time.

2, 3 and 5 for ultra defence. I never recommend using 4 with 2. Especially with hard hitting bosses.
Also, never forget to have awe blast on your weapon 😉

Aside from trimming the dps(abyssal sacrifice only to 5th skill) Neutering the 2nd and 4th skill to melee.. the most stupid class update ever.

Naaah fam firewar is much better. Especially when there's a gold boost going on, you'll be getting 1.2m gold every 10mins

The skill lag thats a you problem not the game. I always play with all the animations off due to the fact that i know even on servers as Sir ver with a few players alone in a map with all animations off there is still lag. Why do you expect it to be better with the animation on. This game biggest problem was always the lag and is still is. That why im excited for the mobile version. I've seen no lag there. If u wanna have less lag then now just stop using the class animation. The game literally gave u the means to do that due to Spider working for Ae. Before u rly couldn't do anything about that cuz they didn't have the function to turn animation off. I mean they tried something and they failed. But now is all a quality of life improvement. Plus if u play smaller resolution u have less lag then if u play full screen. Turn graphics on low. There are so manny fixes only if u want.

VHL and LR have different jobs and can't really be compared directly. VHL will perform miles ahead of LR on a hard hitting boss or single target burst situations, whereas LR is vastly superior for farming
