Brilliant just done this on my 300 Rally had to place the release mechanism 90 degrees to yours and site the release cable coming out near the rear light but works a treat. Many thanks
First class fettling, proper job! Welcome to crf world 👍 Interesting to see what other mods &stuff you do. Did you have to cut out any spacers from the seat? Think my 250 rally has spacers pressed in, will have to check again next time it comes off, tempting mod.
Great idea! Why didn't Honda think of that? The stock arrangement is a royal PITA. Could you route the cable into the lockable tool box (for more security)?
I found your solution very nice. I only have one doubt: with this solution the saddle is held in place by two bolts screwed onto the plastic mudguard. I wonder if the plastic mudguard is strong enough to withstand the forces that arise from the movement of the body on the saddle. What do you think about it? Thank you
for the folks in the US, you can likely use a ktm 390 seat lach, just picked one up on ebay for 18 dollars shipped.

Nice work... Shonky approved! 👍
I'll have to make one of those myself.

The cable could go into the tool box if the catch was turned 180 but In going to remove toll box anyway 👍

Can you right a parts list in comments
What does that give you access to?
Great idea! I just ordered a catch on Amazon is it just bolted to the plastic?
Yes 👍
Some very hard lanes there, is the bike stock?
Yep pretty much
Yss rear shock and a Moto x exhaust 👍
