Usually I recognise the area and the lanes you're on, but this vid was totally new to me. I'm off for 2 weeks in May for my birthday, so hoping to get out a few times. Just got to sort a front moussse and decide on what tyres to go for, as its been a while since I bought some, and lots of new brands and models now.
I was curious about the lands you ride on. Are they public lands or do you have permission from the farmers? Reason I ask, here in parts of the US it’s becoming more difficult to find places to ride.
They are unclassified roads and byways. They hold the same status as normal roads and are basically old roads that never got properly surfaced or fell into disrepair.your vehicles must be fully legal to use them, tax mot and insurance.slowly we are loosing the right to use these aswell 😩
Hi mate new subscriber here.. did you swap t7 for crf300l? I'm planning to get crf300l and try some green lanes in surrey.. very helpful channel cheers
I went from T7 to Africa twin, both really good for the majority of lanes but I needed a cheaper to run commuter bike.I think the little crf fits the bill.It lacks the excitement of the bigger bikes but very wallet friendly. It will do anything you ask of it and so easy to ride👍
To be honest I’m riding on worn out trackers, obviously michelin medium enduro tyres would be brilliant but I don’t think in summer and with very little power from the crf it would be any advantage.I’m not a fan of trackers on a more powerful bike but the beauty of the little 300 is I think you can run any old tyre and get away with it.
why do you say it is a beginers bike you have 300cc sorted the suspension and you look like you are keeping up with the beta. the bike is always better than the rider.
Thanks for posting, good area for trail riding ! Pleased you're getting on okay with the bike .

What do you prefer for this kind of green laning? The michelin trackers? Or the michelin enduro?
