Why I wrote The General's Son: Journey of an Israeli in Palestine

As an Israeli growing up in Jerusalem, I never heard the term "Palestine" until I was in high school. For many others around the world they only hear the Israeli perspective and find the whole situation confusing. My book The General's Son has helped many people come to understand Palestine as I talk about my own journey learning about Palestine. For some Palestinians it's difficult to read because I talk with such admiration about my father and other ancestors who were instrumental in establishing the state of Israel and running it in the beginning. But many Palestinians have told me they appreciate the book and agree with my conclusions at the end.
