Grow a Papaya Tree - An Easy, Quick Growing, Annual Tree

Papaya offers an interesting option for gardens in the Southern US. It is fast growing and has very interesting leaves. Laurie Williams from Memphis Botanic Garden talks about using seeds from a papaya from the grocery store to start plants that will grow up to six feet in one year. They will be killed in the winter, but they are easy to regrow from new seed the next year.
