This goes back to the earliest Thunder Shot which was raced, had some pretty hard front end hits and A part never failed. You A part fix video was very detailed, well done.
Thank you 😊
Sold.....great informative video, v professional. Thanks
Thank you 😊 The Alloy Brace is Definitely the Way to go 😎
Sweet video! Any videos about fixing the noisy drivetrain?
Unfortunately that’s the signature sound of the Thunder Shpt chassis 😂
I'm want a thunder shot their really expensive happy to see you have one and u upgraded it
I think you will see a re re soon 😎
The Best Rc Channel on UA-cam. Genuine, no Frills, & always informative
Thank you for the Kind Words
Very informative. A lot of options out there for the A5. Thanks for the tips.
No Problems 😎👌🏻 The Alloy Part is Definitely the Best.
Great video adam i just got a fire dragon today and had to see what i was in store for. Now to see what parts i can get to help.
The Fire Dragon is a sweet RC.
Thanks Adam for the advice you sent me regarding A5 Part , i have purchased the steel brace from eBay to put on when building but also ordered the alloy upgrade part from RC Mart. Another great video
Jenny from the UK
Thank you 😊 Happy to Help
now I want a fire dragon- when will this end?
Tamiya Never Ends 😎
Great video and presentation of the problem.
So the Xtra Speed hop up will be great for Terra Scorcher owners.
I always try to replace screw pins with hinge pin/suspension pins.
Thank you 😊 Yes the Alloy Part is Definitely the Best option for Building the Terra Scorcher
why dont u drill the hole out a bit bigger? when u change out the A5 part to steel what brakes then?
I guess Drilling the Hole could be an option although the Stress from the suspension parts is Still on the A5 part.
I’m unsure of what would break next. I’ve been Running these Chassis for awhile now & Find the Weak spot is the A5 bracket
Thanks for the great video!
Another thing I've seen was to use a soldiering iron to heat up the screw pin head to get it hot enough before screwing into the A5 plastic. I'd be weary of using a lighter so close to other plastics :)
Yes I did try the Soldiering Iron, but I doubt it heated the whole Screw Pin, the lighter seems to heat the tread section Quickly, yes you must have the screw out enough to avoid surrounding areas.
Top advice Adam. Shame that Tamiya didn't sort something out with it but at least there are a few options and you are quite the expert on this topic!
Thank you 😊 Yes Tamiya Could of Done better, but that’s the Hobby & Companies Always provide Aftermarket parts 😎👌🏻
hey bro i would like to know if u have a vintage tamiya part right thats off white how do u make it to its original white again thanks
all so vintage grease and newer grease witch one is best? for vintage cars
I’ve seen afew videos on UA-cam on how to fix old white plastics. I think they use peroxide?
I use Tamiya Ceragrease on all of my cars.
Yes it’s ceramic grease. Tamiya Supply it in a lot of re re kits now. & I use it on all my new & vintage
Someone should model a 3D printable version of this.
I’ve seen 3D versions & they break easier than the Factory A5
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Yeah, I can see that if printed in PLA or not properly printed. But it should be all right if printed in Nylon I think. I'll have to give it a go with Nylon and see. Too bad my order isn't shipping until next month lol.
To be honest the X Speed Alloy part is the way to Go. $19 USD. Comes with the Stainless Pins & all, 3D parts are more expensive I’ve noticed.
Thanks for video, I'm gonna get that alloy A5 part soon.
Thank you for Watching 😎👌🏻
Nice bro
I want a rc car so much nut indont have money to buy it
Check out my RC Giveaway - Easy to Win 😎
awesome upgrades man
subbed bro
Thank you 😊
Thank you - Another informative video - I went with the stainless steel rods (part 53301) which seem to work well.
Thank you 😊
Mate, you really should get a proper mic (either a lav mic or better mic for your camera). You've got some good content, but hard to enjoy it due to kind of bad audio.
Thanks mate. I have been trying afew Mics out recently & Still working out the best options etc.
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Good luck man. Also look in to the post processing part of it. That can make a difference as well.
Yeah I’m finding my sound Quality really drops once I upload to UA-cam. It’s definitely nicer prior to upload as I’ve really been trying to improve the Sound & trying different mic’s etc.
That Xtra Speed bit makes me want a 2020 Scorcher!!
I had the Original, broke the A5 within a week. 😖
We had very little aftermarket support in the 80's, so we made braces for them.
We used Mecchano steel bits to reinforce our Falcons!! 😜
Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Yes the Xtra A5 Alloy Part is definitely the way to go. Again I dont Understand why Tamiya didn’t make an upgrade to the A5.
Great video, I'm considering a Terra Scorcher next.
Thank you 😊 They are a Nice Kit
You don't like buggy??
Me: i see wall of of buggies♡✩♡ Well done bro!!
Thank you 😊 Yes my Collection had evolved into Sone Buggies which I Display 😊👌🏻
Some great upgrades there.
Just wondering with the two A5 part holes that are under stress when you put the screws in, would it relieve any stress if you possibly drilled out the holes slightly before putting the screws in?
I dont own a terra scorcher so not really familiar with the A5 assembly.....but just thinking.
Yeah you could take a Fraction out by Drilling 😎
Lucky man. I want one of those so bad
Great Product
Great upgrade and mod,great video
Thank you 😊 The Alloy Upgrade is A nice Part
