I remember years back not a lot of people fished for Crappie, except in the spring, Everyone Bass fished. Now I think the Crappie has took the number one spot.

Thanks for your tips and advice. I switched to a loop knot and caught 10 fish in an hour instead of 10 fish per day. I also started to learn to line watch like you say. It's helped me so much! Also balancing the jig. I fish a highly pressured reservoir dam vertically or cast out and let it fall to me.
@@ARCSTREAMS i was using a Palomar knot which didn't let the jig move and settle. I used the loop knot and it allows the jig to rotate where it can naturally settle. So the jig will sit horizontal in the water instead of at a 45 degree angle or any other angle. The jig will look more natural and have better movement with a loop knot.
A great lesson from the master fisherman. I have watched a lot of your videos and learn something new from each of them. I have seen you fish slow in the past but I think never this slow. Amazing!
I love that you give the water temp. Can't wait until the ice is gone here. Have you ever tried ice fishing tactics in the slow winter times. Dont need ice to ice fish.

Another great technique for catching crappie & I love using that blue ice jig. I have been catching crappie better than ever!!! I feel the wooo` in my spirit ! ! !

Bobby Garland in his boat used to visit a marina I worked at and I'd buy his swimming minnows from him straight out of the rod locker. He always had it full of swimming minnows and I would buy a thousand every time😃RIP Bob, you're a Great guy! wooo!

I ain't never had much luck usin' jigs. But I've caught more than one limit using minners, a few feet off the bottom. Specially near a good brush pile.
