This is easily the best DIY box you have done (as it probably should be), not only because the food is fantastic, but because it encapsulates what I think Michelin star restaurants should be showcasing: Locally sourced, seasonal food prepared with skill and appreciation for the ingredients.
Can I just say, probably on behalf of everyone, how much I love seeing James in these videos. What a treat.
James is wonderful. I love how they're not together for months, and then they're back together, and it's like no time has passed. Wish he could come back permanently because this epic group is absolutely amazing.
This isn’t the first appearance of Chef Banks on this channel, if you remember Mike burning some beetroots in beef tallow all the way back in the first few episodes of Pass-it-on, That was an attempt at replicating Chef Banks recipe!

Love this video. The banter between the boys is everything. And there's a lot less sass from James cuz he's not cooking anything with the normals, just cooking up pre-made Michelin star-level food. Just critique of Jamie's plating. So fun to watch this!

Mike's "I don't leave my house anymore" at 17:05 is such a mood. He really justified how priceless (for a parent) this DIY Food Kit experience really would be at home with such a simple yet meaningful line.
I was so thrilled to see another James video that I forgot about commenting. Rewatching on loop for the second time and have to say, I love how affectionate they all are with each other- their friendship really shines through but also it is so refreshing to see guys display genuine platonic affection. while also ribbing each at every opportunity! Cheers for the SORTED team being the complete opposite of toxic masculinity.
Although I really love Kush I started watching when Iames was the Chef. So it's a bit of nostalgia seeing James back.

That's a really great way to put it; I didn't really consider how calm James is, because for a long time Ben was the "calm, collected chef giving the recipe" in vids.
He has a very soft spoken voice, but he loves the guys banter and cracks up from time to time!
Yes, he's the perfect foil for the usually hyperventilating normals. I'm guessing he'll be appearing more while Kush is aay on paternity leave and Ben's holidaying. I hope it continues even after Ben and Kush get back.

May I ask you to do a 3 part series about poverty food? More if you want, I'm only asking for 3. You do so many fancy foods, but most of us can't afford those. Other channels have covered hardtack/ship biscuit, gruel, and others from the USA side. I would like to hear it from the British side. Old or new, your choice. Cook food for the poor.
I really like the way they are thinking about how things could be improved for a home cook following the instructions and not just raving about every single thing just cos it came from a Michelin-starred restaurant ❤ having said that, this looks like an amazing meal kit that I’ll never be able to enjoy as I’m outside of the UK 😢

Seeing so many weird and wonderful mushrooms recently makes me want some mushroom themed episodes. An identify competition or mystery box or other challenge that gives us a wide look at all of the varieties and differences in flavor profile. Just seeing that Hen in the forest made my mouth water.
maybe when it's a season, get them directly in the forest and show us how to get the edible ones and how to use them in recipes maybe? kinda like what they did with the herbs when camping?

I had this kit pegged at £175, and even though at £135 it was much cheaper than i thought, i feel it is worth it. For those that dont like fish, you have the charcuterie board. And that beef Wellington could easily feed four (I'd be more than happy with the crusty end 😂) im not one who would go for an expensive meal kit, but get 4 friends, and it is more than enough, and looks absolutely delicious!
James seems so comfortable and happy, love it!
Aww looking at James's enthusiasm reminds me of how he once said he'd spend hundreds on five-hour meals to learn how other chefs cook.
This felt comfortable and satisfying. I think more videos like this would be nice, I love the panic Pass it On creates but I think it's nice to see everybody having a good time just as often

A cool video idea would be maybe a couple of you guys putting together a meal kit and seeing if the others can execute it and it turns out good?
Love that idea! The normals get the home kit, the chefs just get the same ingredients and the menu description!
So a kit like this looks like it is meant to impress a single person of a couple and it seems to do that well. It doesn't seem to interfere with conversation (I was expecting 7 courses to at least require more time away which would ruin the evening). If the food is as delicious as they say, I would count that as an excellent date splurge or even a date night for an established couple.
Is James back as in BACK? I think we'd all love to hear that that is the case!
I think he is just back while Kush is out on parental leave. So we get him for a short time and then he is gone again. :(

Great episode guys! James looks so happy, I’m glad he’s back this year. My Swiss-French friend once said their Sunday lunches lasted 4 hours; courses were cooked one after another. If you eat that way it makes sense to have a gap between starters and the Beef Wellington.
