We do $2k for car repairs and $1k for maintenance. We also save a car payment towards a future car. If we have maintenance that exceeds $1k, like when it’s time to have the timing chain replaced, I pull from the $2k for repairs or even from the new car fund, if needed.
Hi Mel! I finished my Race Ticket in June! I can’t wait to film my video where I allocate my finished challenges…$51 is going into my F1 envelope! :). I was thinking $2500 for the car emergency. If it is more, you can take from emergency, if it is less, you have a nice buffer in case something else happens.
