That’s a tough toss up. I guess it depends one what you are using it for.
With the TT20 spill, you won't miss seeing something as you might with the sharper beam.
I agree with the hot spot and spill so I would go TN12. I do really like the ramping feature of the TT20 though.

Im just bummed that the strobe is only 560 lumens on the TN12 pro, thats a disappointment, thats a weak strobe when it could have been best in class

I really wish the TT20 had the same throw as the TN12. It would be so cool to basically have a TN12 with infinity mode and a 21700. As it stands. TN12 is definitely the better of the two. I love mine. I'll pass on the TT20.

I really like the TN12 Pro, but im not sure if the 36000 cd are bright enough to be effective for self defense during the day.
During the day you will need LEP for self defence
Why would you rely on a light for self defense anyways?

I'm biased cos I've got a TN12 Pro ... Ramping isn't my thing. Not when you need a certain level of light in an instant. I cba with "is it gonna ramp up or down?". The TN20 is a bit fat , I prefer the Diet TN12 👌

I have both. TN12 is better for me. TN12 is a way better thrower. TT20 is a flood.
