Hey there, those are nice toys you've got there buddy! I personally wouldn't adapt to the dimmer switching feature, so many options would get me lost on closing one! I've got my Fenix Pd36r after your review on it, and I am still pretty happy with it, Cheers!

I really like that gradual up and down so you can set it exactly where you want it, plus no fiddling around stepping through modes to get to the one you want. Now I've seen it I wonder why more flashlights don't work like that!

I had the tt20 and it kept flashing red 5times, the manual said it was undervoltage protection but no matter how much i charged it that wouldn’t stop. I returned it and got the fenix. Happy w it.

I love my TT20 I won't ever give it up I got a box full of flashlights and nothing compares .

I like the TT20 except the ON switch is a side button. A sure way for it to turn on in my pocket and drain my battery. This doesn't happen with my Fenix PD35 so I may upgrade to the PD36R. I'm still looking for something brighter. Thank you for the review. Very helpful.

I had the same problem with the TT20. It got sold quickly as I could not put up with it! If thrunite would have recessed the button like on their BSSV4, they would have had a winner. To bad. 😢

I will take PD36R it is better-built quality and it has longer runtime because it is very efficient. The Thrunight products sometimes if you drop it, it will turn off for a while!

I carried and used my fenix PD35 2014 edition (960 lumen) almost every day for 6 years lamp and the original battery STILL WORKS GREAT!!! but now I prefer the Fenix HM61R WHICH IS REALLY MUCH BETTER! the beam is much better oriented, the lamp is smaller, lighter, more powerful, it has an integrated red light, an integrated magnetic charger, a magnet to attach it to a metal object (and its hold very very well even on a car door at 100 km/H it holds!) and icing on the cake (Quebec expression) it comes with a super comfortable shoulder strap to make it frontal! believe me it's THE BEST EDC LAMP YOU CAN FIND IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND BETTER!... it is very solid resists immersion 2m it hangs everywhere you will have your hands free! believe in my experience... HM61R best EDC!

Great video, I bought this because of your review a year ago. One issue I have however is turning on in my backpack and then the battery gets drained and cant use it. Is there a way to lock the button from turning on?
Thank you! I’m not totally sure if this light will lock out, but you could flip the battery when it’s in your pack to prevent accidental engagement. Take care👍

Nice review Wade. I like the Fenix Flashlights that I have & tried getting a PD 36R last year but it was out of stock. Never did get a new light. I do like a “Firefly “ setting on a light & Fenix doesn’t have that, also like the user interface on the Thurnite TT20. I don’t really like a lot of features on the tail cap with a larger light, on a small AA or AAA it doesn’t bother me. I will check out the TT20. Thanks buddy 🇨🇦

The Fenix UC35 has a 1 lumen moonlight mode I'm not sure if its similar to firefly.
Nice review on the TT 20! Curious how long does it stay on Turbo before it steps down. also Is the step down time or temp ?
Thanks for the question. Turbo steps down after 2 1/2 minutes to 610 lumens. it will run for 237 minutes on the reduced setting. Take care my friend!

Good question. I haven't tested out the V2 yet. Fenix makes a great light with a great warranty!
They don't make the 36R in a V2.0..they make the PD35 in 3 versions and they have a TK16V2.0
they can be used as powerbank?
To my knowledge these are not suitable as a power bank. Wuben does have some lights that function as a power bank👍
You said you will use the turbo a lot but I woudent recommend that as it will burnout like my TT20 has and now it wont turn off, thrunite haven't replaced mine yet and are not being too helpful. my TT20 was a birthday present and is only 6 months old because it was a present I have no purchase details so thrunite wont help? Unless they pull their finger out I would not recommend this TT20 as a present its meant to have a 2 year guarantee and they haven't made this torch for two years yet so its certainly still under warranty and they know this? Probably many of their torches end up being presents so this is not a wise move from thrunite i feel in keeping a loyal customer base as i was 100% thrunite but now watching this video to see what other companies make as might be time for me to move away from thrunite. (Very disappointed)
P.S. my TC12 was in my pocket as my EDC for over 4 years without issue but my TT20 is dead after 6 months hummm. =)
Sorry to hear about your issues with Thrunite, I would suggest to keep trying. There is a serial number on the light, perhaps that can give them a sense of its date of manufacture. Thanks for watching👍
Although I’m 9 months late… hate to hear your light went dead on you. For this reason I don’t buy Klarus lights anymore because I had 2 of their renowned lights (XT11, XT11GT) die on me.
I’ve since had the Fenix pd36r on me and it hasn’t let me down.

Ide take the thrunite, way better value. I have a fenix PD35 sitting in a drawer that stopped working years ago, I already sent back the first one and this is the second, dont have the packaging or anything

@@Woodswalker1965 I have been looking into Astrolux lights and Sofirn too, thats crazy that Astrolux EC03 is over 6,000 lumens and you can get it for like $40 if you find the deal or 69 or something. I have lost so any flashlights it makes me sick, right now I am just using a Thrunite TH10 V2 headlamp, its my 3rd one.... so you know I like it. I lost a Fenix TK35 years back too, and Thrunite TN12 in neutral white, the list goes on and on...I lose more shit than anyone I ever met, lost a $40 vaporizer the other day, good thing I have a spare.
