If you have the stats for it, the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword from the second forge is absolutely stupid strong. Its weapon art is crazy. Rushes forward at high speed, covers a HUGE distance, and stabs enemies... Then explodes. The damage seems pretty great and it's big enough to clean clusters of enemies up, and it's pretty damn quick for a colossal. Totally worth it.
I'll give it a go! There are so many weapons to try and not enough larvel tears, haha.
@@norzza I'm at level 342 due to the frogs' generous sacrifice... I would be higher if I didn't keep dying twice and losing my runes to some horrible mess of enemies or gravity. 80 Int because I was a sorcerer before, but every other stat I could get to 50 I left there.
As it turns out, investing into everything is exactly what the lunatics at FS decided would be a good thing to incentivize in the DLC with silly things like the stat spread for the smithscript weapons and the Night and Flame style gear like Rellana's swords. Wish I could have been in NG+1 or +2 to easily get to 72/72 int-fai and 60 vigor though, because man, the gear variety is crazy and even being this high doesn't stop things from two or three-tapping you in something chonky like the Solitude armor. This is a 60 vigor recommended playground and 42 just barely cuts it.
It is really strange the Stat spread on alot of these weapons. Like they expected everyone to be way over levelled so it doesn't matter? Haha.
@@norzzayes they definitely expected a lot of people to be at least high enough lvl to use most weapons in the dlc
Where is the second forge
Using the Queelign’s Greatsword with the fire giants hunt AoW. It slaps quite hard!
Changed the AOW for Milady to Keen scaling Repeating Thrust and it's amazing for single target damage.
Sounds great! I put Wing Stance on mine but I barely use the AOW. Been using it in a gaurd counter, parry build.
I wish the great katanas didn't have a sheethe. It just looks like a big banana on your back

I got the hammer from the church of consolation didnt feel like a random drop as got it on first visit and the soilder didnt respawn ( i think
i have an arc dex build . Do you think the dragon katana would be good ? Or does arcane not affect the bleed build up
That would be perfect for the great katana!
Arcane always effects status build up. Sleep, posion, bleed, etc.

I think the black steel gray hammer can drop from any of the black knights. I got mine from a black knight at the castle entrance.

What are the tops three weapons from the dlc
Bloodfiend arm is the best. Meteoric Greatsword weapon art is really good against some bosses. Pretty much everything else is strictly worse than the main game weapons. DLC weapons are super undertuned.

Ill admit i abused the dragon hunter katana to kill the ghostflame dragons and the dragons on that mountain, but after i got the dyad leaves i threw on hourah loux earthshaker and have been wrecking shop. I just need more smithing stones and somber smithing stone 9s to upgrade more.
And for those wondering my NG+ character has not gotten the bell bearings to buy smithing stones

Skipped the best weapon, bloodfiend arm. It bleeds dlc bosses in 2 hits, its beyond broken.

Best thing about weapons like the longsword, claymore, iron greatsword is that they're simple and reliable
