Just grabbed the Suede/Carbon fiber wheel from RS quality is bang on good!
Great video! Only thing I would add is when you're pulling off the steering wheel, thread the nut back on a couple threads that way if you yank it and it comes flying off, it won't hit ya in the noggin, lol.
Safety First! But really, this is a super good tip.
Not sure if it’s been pointed out in comments yet, but if you have the Bluetooth call buttons on your wheel, there's an extra white harness at the 6'O'Clock location, and a few extra screws holding the frame onto the mounts, and you have to snake a whole 'nother harness and wire out if you want to take the back cover off. I found it easier to just leave the wires in place, and use a right angle screwdriver to get the buttons, back cover, and wires off all in one piece, and then transfer to the new wheel in similar fashion.
We've been keeping an eye out for a BT equipped car to snap some photos and update the instructions, however as I'm sure you noticed it is not terribly more involved. Thank you for the advice!
I want to change the cover of the sti steering wheel airbag because mine is a silver cover, I don't like silver very much, I like black, so I want to change the black cover, maybe you don't quite understand what I'm talking about The part is that the round cover is printed with the sti standard. Where can I change it? thanks
Unfortunately we're not aware of any existing source to replace just the cover and would likely need to replace the entire air bag. Some of the later models (2011-2014 I believe?) come with a darker, almost black silver interior color, but they aren't cheap.
Would install be any different for a 2012 WRX with bluetooth buttons?
install will be the same.
Would this fit a 2010 Impreza?
We have not test fitted a wheel on the base impreza models, however Subaru lists cross compatibility for the OEM steering wheel across all 08-11 base Imprezas as well as 09-13 Foresters, so we are fairly confident that it should fit.

Can't say officially, but soon. Single digit weeks soon.
I've been trying to get one but the carbon/leather is out of stock in rallysportdirect and import image.
We have been getting slammed with demand, but dont worry we got a BUNCH coming in that should be here in about 3-4 weeks. As they are all hand sown it takes a bit of time to make production batches.

Finally got mine delivered! I'm installing it today. But I'm worry about the fitment on the bluetooth control, since this video don't show the bluetooth controls.
My air bag doesn’t line up with the trim, it sits a lil higher than the trim

Do these work on foresters ?
We have not tested to confirm fitment, nor have any customers from our knowledge. Though we are familiar with others swapping a stock STI steering wheel into the SH generation foresters, and since we offer a direct fitment for those models we believe there is a possibility. However any attempt will be done at your own risk.
@@factionfab5834 by chance do custom deals? My interior is tan cloth so would just want a tan/greyish leath wrap lmk
@@Erloud Unfortunately we do not. Limiting options is one of our best tools to keep cost low, and we want to keep our wheels accessible to as many customers as possible.
does the battery have to be disconnected?
Yes, we HIGHLY recommend disconnecting the battery before starting due to potential problems with the airbag system if you don't disconnect it.
