Improving performance for 3 million web sites

Improving the performance of one web site can be hard enough, but at Shopify our scope extends to over 3 millions separate sites.The Merchant Performance team is new to Shopify and in this session we’ll share what we’ve learned over the last 12 months, some of the challenges we face and some of the projects we are working on.
This includes:
* The challenges of optimizing performance for a flexible no code solution
* How we’re trying to change the way performance is perceived internally
* The big projects we are taking on this year
Michael is a performance Geek at Shopify, working with merchants, staff and anyone else that will listen. A premature grumpy old man that likes to optimize everything in life, slow websites just add to the grumpiness and grey hairs.
