A series that doesn't get much love is The Seven Kennings trilogy by Kevin Hearne, which begins with A Plague of Giants. It's described as "a thrilling novel that kicks off a fantasy series with an entirely new mythology-complete with shape-shifting bards, fire-wielding giants, and children who can speak to astonishing beasts." Hearne is better known for the Iron Druid Chronicles, but I far prefer Seven Kennings. It's a bit complicated to explain, but it relates the events of an invasion of bone giants through the eyes of multiple perspectives, but is told by a bard who can transform himself into each POV. It's extremely rich in worldbuilding and character development. The magic system is fascinating - each Kenning is a type of magic and is used primarily by people of different regions and there's different levels within each kenning. The audiobook is FANTASTIC! Because there are so many POVs and it can be a bit confusing at times, I found it very helpful to start with the audiobook because there are two narrators and the one in particular, Luke Daniels, does amazing voices for each character. The last book is expected to come out next summer and I can't wait!

The Obsidian Trilogy is such a fun read. Great place to start with Lackey and great for new readers of fantasy.
Brooks gets a lack of flack for Shannara and a lot of it deservedly so but there are still some good and fun stories in the Shannara universe. The ones that stood out to me are The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara trilogy and The Word & Void trilogy.

The Daughter of the Forest's premise sounds really similar to this czech fairy tale I used to watch as a kid, called The Seven Ravens. It was about 7 brothers who were really naughty as children, so their mother out of frustration accidentaly cursed them to become ravens. The mother and father eventually had a daughter who then found out about this whole situation and decided to free them. Her task was not to speak, which got a bit tricky when she met some noble man and they fell in love. It was a fun story, I will check this one out as well!

I have a middle grade recommendation. Cornelia Funke's trilogy Inkheart, Inkspell and Inkdeath.
Meggie loves stories, but her father Mo will not read them aloud, not since his special ability hurt their family. When Mo reads something from our world goes into the book and something from the book enters our world, it stated with objects, but then he read out people when reading their favourite "Inkheart" and two characters you do not want to meet are now roaming our world. A few years after this time their paths cross again and Meggir and Mo have to deal with what happened.
I loved this trilogy. Beautifully written, exciting story, interesting characters and our main family LOVE books.
