Gideon's Bakehouse is probably the most popular snack destination at Disney Springs - maybe on all of Disney World property. But if you don't want to wait around for hours to get in to Gideon's, there is another location in Orlando serving the exact same delicious Gideon's cookies with a much shorter line. We will take you on a tour of East End Market in Orlando, home of the original Gideon's Bakehouse and tell you about our experience there. We took a day off from the parks on our recent trip to Orlando and hung out with some friends who live in the area. They showed us a few other things they enjoy about the communities surrounding the happiest place on earth including a pizza joint, a shopping district and an extremely friendly statue. Join us as we check out the original Gideon's and the surrounding area on an afternoon off in the Orlando, Florida area.

Gideon’s cookies are so thick and big. I’ve never tried one and now I’m more excited now that I know about this other location.
You should definitely try Gideon's if you are a fan of sweets. They are so big and rich that we can only enjoy them a bite at a time. But they are delicious. And this original location is much better than waiting around all day to get called into the Disney Springs location - though if you plan to spend the day at Disney Springs anyway, that isn't such a big deal. The Mr. Rogers Neighborhood statue was a great tribute to him. It was cool that we got to see that as we were enjoying Orlando and the surrounding area. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

The treats at that bakery are soo delicious - and it is even better when you don't have to wait at the long line on Disney property for these treats. The Mr. Rogers sculpture is really cool. The cookies are delicious and the atmosphere is cool. The fact that this original location is in a food hall is cool because you can get really good coffee at another vendor just a few feet away along with a wide variety of other food and drinks. Thanks for watching and commenting!

We really did enjoy our afternoon away from the parks. Good pizza (and mediterranean platter), delicious Gideon's cookies and checking out Winter Park were all highlights. This Gideon's cookies are delicious - but they are much better when you don't have to wait 3 or 4 hours to get in. The half poun cookies are great. Okayyy the Mediterranean platter at the pizza place looked amazing. That’s my FAV type of food 🤤 this is an awesome video especially for people who didn’t know about the second Gideon’s Bakery location. I’d much rather go there then wait on the virtual queue for hours 😬 the interior of the bakery is awesome. I love all the old books and book shelves. I bet it’s an awesome photo op!
The whole area looks far more interesting than Disney Springs which is just so crowded.

We like Disney Springs. But the crowds do get pretty bad… especially as it relates to the Gideon’s queue. The cookies really are delicious. They are just so sweet and rich that we can only eat a bite or two at a time. It was nice to not have to wait in a long line to get them at the original location though. Thanks for watching!

Winter Park is such a cute town with so much to see. Now that I’ve been to the Disney Springs Gideon’s, I need to go to the East End Market location. I really want to go to the Winter Park Biscuit Co. They’re vegan food but it all looks amazing! -S
Yeah, I would bet y’all could do a really good video trying the different vendors at East End Market if you ever felt like doing so. A lot of those places looked really good but we actually only tried Gideons and the coffee place. Seems to be a good variety of options there. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I've always heard Winter Park is really nice. Looks upscale. Lol.....interesting choice at the pizzeria. It's good to get out of Disney and explore the area.

Yes, unless you plan to spend a few hours at Disney Springs anyway, we definitely suggest going off property to the original location. Their cookies and cakes are so delicious but much too rich to eat much in one sitting. Thanks for watching and commenting!

At least 70,000. Our Disney parks videos are among our least watched videos and I assume it is because of all the competition. But we love the Disney parks so we won’t let that stop us from going and making videos for 80 people to enjoy. LOL. We really do just enjoy a bite at a time of those cookies. They are so rich. Five or six dollars isn’t too bad for a treat that lasts about a week, I suppose. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Oh man I just did back to back Disney Spring videos. What 20 miles away, I’ll have to go there rather than wait. I heard so much from this place. So who is videographer and script writer for the channel? Now I know there is more than Disney Springs when we go there. My wife would get that Mediterranean platter at a pizza place also. You definitely should check out Gideon’s cookies if you get a chance and love sweets. They are so rich that you can’t eat much in one sitting but they are so good. Our channel is a bit of a team effort. We both are videographers and editors and we collaborate on the script writing to make sure both of our opinions are represented. Seeing the Mr. Rogers sculpture was a highlight of our day. Thanks for watching!
Definitely need to go check out this area! Especially for the short line at Gideon! However we do still need to try their cold brew at DS!
We haven’t tried the cold brew yet either. Maybe one day. But it was so nice to not have to wait in line. And there were a lot of other cool food and drink options at East End Market too. We highly recommend it. Thanks for watching and commenting!

It took you 6 days to finish one cookie each??? I need your will power. When I started going to Gideon’s it was $4 a cookie and they used to have long lines too.
