I watched Claus’s story before but I just wanted to celebrate it again! The world did fall in love with Claus & you could see through Claus’ eyes how much he adored all of you! He literally felt the love. His story is so sad ( bc if his owners had gotten this tumor addressed earlier well….) but also joyous to see Claus soaking up all the joy & love life had to offer him! Run free Claus. We love you. Thank you to all who had any part in Claus’ journey (@Maribel, I know u had xtra special spot for Claus) and you can NEVER find a better place to donate your money to than here! Bawling my eyes out. Even the dogs knew it was his time to go. Such a sweet, loving baby, even until the end. When he grabbed at Viktor at the end, it seemed he wanted one more good hug from him. This dog knew love from the first time he came to LA. That poor baby met you at the wrong time, because he could've been saved; but he also met you at the right time, because you showed him the one thing he more than likely never got----true love.

To think he could have died, scared, lonely surrounded by strangers. Thank you so much to everyone involved in giving him love, family, friends, and constant companionship. Every time anyone touched him, even the vets, you could tell how wonderful he thought it was. The extra time you gave him was no doubt the best time of his entire life. You are all outstanding ❤

Klaus story is an important one and it should be told again and again. It shows how resilient and loving a dog can still be after suffering through many long years of abuse and in Klaus' case, neglect. Klaus was only with Viktor and his staff a mere 45 days, but yet he lived in the moment and lived his best life in that short time. RIP dear Klaus, you may be gone, but you touched so many of us and we will never forget you. I hope some way you understood that when you were staring at Viktor's smiling face in your last seconds on Earth!

Little Claus is such a treasure! I‘ll never forget him. He was the reason, that I decided to join this community and make my first donations. I was thrilled, what you all did for this sweet doggie, though he was old and so sick, and it was amazing, how Claus blossomed under your loving care. He was so adorable, and I remember well, how sad I was, when Claus passed. As well I was so thankful, that the last weeks of his life was filled with love, care and joy.

I noticed, too, how he looked around constantly in wonder at all the loving people caring for him, making over him, loving on him and talking sweet to him. He must have thought they were angels. I am bawling my eyes out at that precious little pup who had 45 days of the kind of life he deserved. Thank you, Viktor for making sure he went out knowing love and human kindness.
Yes, he has the most expressive eyes that look right into you! Claus had to feel so confused to be left alone & scared in that shelter. And those “ owners” knew he was suffering!. 🥵

I've had many rescues in my life. Dogs and cats. They fulfilled me and gave me life. After all they are creatures from GOD. No animal should be treated poorly...if it weren't for them you wouldn't eat. My babies have passed and I miss them more than you know. Their ashes are with me everywhere. I LOVE YOU BABIES

I remember the story of Claus. Such a sweet, little boy. If his previous family had cared for him, they would have sought veterinary help at the first sign of a problem. Instead, they dumped him when he needed help. I can't imagine the kind of people who would do that to a lttle dog. The image of Claus running around on the beach has always stayed wirh me. A little happiness for him after a lifetime of neglect. Thanks to you, Claus had wonderful and happy moments at the end of his life.

Jaime is so tender with the animals, I think Like Dr. Isidor, he must be a truly beautiful man. This was indeed a very emotional video to watch. Claus was such a sweet natured trusting little dog. I agree, a year would have made a very real difference. Thank you Victor for having such a loving generous heart and speaking up for those who can't. This life must take a toll on you and your team, so thank you for not giving up and giving these precious dogs a better quality of life.

Claus, was für ein wunderbarer liebevoller kleiner Kerl. Ich musste so weinen, als er es nicht geschafft hat. Ich hoffe, dass die Menschen, die ihm das angetan haben, genauso leiden werden wie er, mit der Gewissheit, dass es nie enden wird und dass ihnen niemand helfen wird und dann wünsche ich diesen Menschen, dass sie mehr als 100 Jahre alt werden.

(Beth Nick's wife here again) He's such a baby when being held it breaks your heart to know his condition, the way he looks into Viktor's eyes so much love there. How could anyone desert him in his time of need they didn't deserve him, breaks my heart. At least he got so much love from the team in his last days thank god. One of my cats had same type of cancer we tried everything but no good it broke my heart still does.😧😢😭💔❤🙏🙏
How do those monsters that abandoned him live, sleep, eat after being so souless ??? Thank you Viktor to you and the other angels for showing Claus that love does exist. Rest in much peace baby.

He was probably treated badly before with the nasty owners rubbish scraps if anything to eat and dirty water, Thank you Victor for helping him in his final days, you really tried,❤❤❤

Thank you for sharing Claus’s story with us. I became a Veterinary Technician and wildlife rehabilitator in 1975. Most practices didn’t allow the family to be with their pets in the end, but we found the they left us much more peacefully surrounded by those who loved them the most. Claus may have had a short life with you and your staff, but he lived that time surrounded by love. He probably had more of it in the short time he had with you than in his entire life. I’m so happy you found each other and he was loved and cared for by everyone who spent time with him. RIP Claus…❤

I watched Klaus when he was first shown. I feel so in love with him, sent in a small donation. I watched how gently you'd pick him up and hold him. And what was so beautiful was how he'd look at you. I truly believe that the 45 days you had him were the kindest and happiest days of his life. Thank you and your team for showering him with so much attention and love.💕
This is the hardest video I've watched. I've had multiple cats with this same mouth cancer. It is very aggressive. He may not of even had this a year earlier. Thank you for giving this boy a quality of life and lots of love.

These big beautiful eyes filled with such sweet expression of awe and sorrow. Who takes an aging suffering little doggie to a kill center after allowing it first to slowly deteriorate to a brutal stage of distortion and suffering and doing nothing about it? Heartless indifference, there are no excuses. May he be in comfort wherever he is. You cared enough to do what you did, Viktor. Caring for a young and pretty dog is a fine thing. But caring for one that is ill and without hope is an act of godliness. And he must have felt it.
So we'll said! I cried terribly for this sweet dog!
Look at those sad scared eyes, runny nose, and snaggled tooth. I gave up a few tears and then crossed my fingers that you could help Claus. Your devotion to rescue shows everytime you travel across country to rescue an unfortunate animal.

If you hadn’t rescues him, he would have been looking at his executioner with those same sad accepted eyes.

Oh my gosh. Have just spent an hour looking at your video about Claus and bawling my eyes out. What a brilliant little dog but such a sad video. Why would someone leave any animal in that state and not do all they can to help him to stop his suffering. You guys are just the best and gave him a fabulous end of life period of time. Very moving. Thank you all so much for what you do. I hugged my dogs even tighter after seeing this.

I was devastated when the video came that Claus was no longer with us... he was such a sweet boy and should have had so much time!
I despise people who don't treat animals well and don't take them to the vet when something is wrong!
Veterinarians have become extremely expensive in Germany, which has made animals a real luxury, but it's still worth it to us and we also have our pet rats operated on if we have to!
He soaked up all that love like the sunshine he loved on his face. Claus had a look of wonder the whole time -- kinda like is this Heaven? So glad he received that kind of love at the end of his life.

I remember following Claus's rescue till the end and I am still crying so much as I did then...
He was such a sweet baby who was abandoned and neglected. But Viktor rescued him and the great team of vets did everything possible to help him but it was too late.
He was given so much tlc and love from them all at the White House, but it was short-lived... Those were the best days of Claus's life.
He has flown high over the rainbow bridge on the wings of angels.
No more pain, no more suffering, running happily with all the other animals..

I really do enjoy the longer videos of the whole rescue story. All in one video, I know I have not missed anything. Thank you for the personal love, care and devotion to Claus.
