I haven't tried any high speed downhill turns with them. They do have a gliding acting, but I havent tried to really get them to bite in for a turn, just slow and steady turns. But I'm mostly on powder/ non groomed trails. I mostly use them as an alternate to snowshoes on trails as you can cover more distance faster. I'm sure there are others out there that have more experience with faster speed.
For snow conditions as shown, I favor my Salomon Toundra boots, that use aerogel insulation. The nice part about the universal bindings is that you can use any boot, and adjust which boots you use based on conditions!
Thank you. Yours is the best video on Altai Hok IMO
Awesome vid!
Awesome
Great review! Why did you choose the 145 over the 125?
I wanted more floatation for winter backpacking, and where I camp the trails are usually all powder and not groomed.
Also, the length depends on your weight, if you are over 170 or 175 you need the longer ones:)
Make them 200 CM long for HUGE people please.
How do you turn in them going down hill? Is it like a cross country ski turn? Looks like it would be hard to get an edge since the binding moves.
