I Build a Parade Float!

- Some of you might know that I was on this little show called Making It on NBC? Every year, my little town had a street festival called "Beachcomber's Day". This year it happens to land on the Forth of July weekend. Because of the pandemic, we weren't even sure it was gonna happen. Well, our town did it and pulled through a very sucessful festival, with a parade, vendors, car show, lumberjack competition, beer garden and so on, ending with fireworks and music and fire dancing!
I decided to throw together a little float playing the "local celebrity" icon and join in on the parade fun. This simple little float took a couple of days to put together here and there. It is a tiny replica of my small little shop, emphasizing the fact that I was on a tv show!! What a fun day we had! Since time was of the essence, I didn't always have the camera set up, or hit the record button, but here is a little glimpse of what I went through putting a 7'x8' flat trailer into a award winning parade float. Enjoy!
