IMPORTANT TIP: do not use raptor strikes. There is so much bleed with regular bite, and the damage is better on a normal bite than with raptor strikes. I don't know why raptor strikes is even in the game.
Does it pair up well with latching on someone though? If the damage gets higher each bite and you're guaranteed like 10 when you latch on ... What do you think? Noob here
I like the new update. I find its a trade off for everyone. The raptors are now able to actually hunt, instead of just ambushing constantly. While other players must decide if they want their original hides and deal with pounces, or to go with the pounce resistance hide and fight back. Many dinos can legit just 1 shot the raptors or they can still hit them while on. One issue I see that people complain about is not being able to get the raptors off, but the raptor stam isnt that long if you're shaking them off constantly. They are pack hunters and work as a pack, I like to think of it like this: You wouldnt really fear 1 coyote as a person, but as soon as more start to show up you no longer have the advantage of being big and strong because now they have the advantage of numbers. They cant do much solo but are to be respected in groups, thats kinda how pack hunters work. If anything id give them just a bit more stam drain while they are being shaken off. Otherwise I dont see too much to change.
tbh, playing on both raptor and getting attacked by raptor I dont find them that op, on either aspect. Raptors can be kinda easily shaken off, and many dinos can still hit them while they are on or have a way of killing them while. And if you're in too large of a laten or deino group then youll most likely kill each other while trying to kill the target. Plus, anything that has the hide that doesnt allow them to pounce on kinda instantly stops them as long as your playing it smart and not running around a ton and instead putting youself against a rock or water. But I guess its for me personally. I have had a few times where ive taken down people really quick but those players also wernt trying to buck me off, which is what you need to do if you get pounced. So far havent had any issues with fighting them, even in large groups.
Wow that group hunt was terrifying! Playing solo rn soon to be adolescent. I have to take a herb down to progress... Ill find some cliff area. I was thinking of lurking around the crater and picking off someone running off maybe?
As someone who mains laten as a solo, If you latch near the neck of an apex they can claw and bite you off of the side, If you latch to the back end you can kill the majority of dino as apexes are easier than smallers in my opinion due to speed and stam, Make sure to sit to regain stam as you can stand really quick
I love your clip with the pack at nightime hunt. That was satisfying to watch, The buffs made it so amazing! thanks for the tips. However latens need draining more stam from bucking cuz its too slow to drain stam. ANd the slick hide should drain more stam instead of immunity to pounce so that wont negate the pounce ability.

Just jump and use ur latch attack it will work but u must jump first to use it
