That and people just liked the calmer synths and more mellow pop feel. I guess I can understand the confusion with the first half. The Eternal Tao was the first Voidz song I listened to, and while I liked it immediately, it took another couple listens for me to really want to headbang. And that’s common in experimental, progressive stuff.
Now there are also a lot of people who don’t really like to branch out in musical genre, which creates a stiff gap. And if all you’ve been accustomed to is trap and pop, experimental and sometimes even just psychedelic rock or alt rock is a culture shock. Really wish more people would be willing to try new things, and even I have to remind myself of that sometimes

To everyone saying, "they recycled the adults are talking blah blah blah." It's the other way around. The voidz played a secret show a while back in venice where they did a LOT of improve and jams. In the outro, julian and the gang performed a rough draft of the ending of this track. Said track inspired the hook from TAAT.
