- With Scott Robertson now confirmed as the incoming All Blacks coach for 2024, I wrote an article about what his possible team could line up as; pending on player injuries, form and re-signings. I've now got the first of my two UA-cam videos based on this article all done. Hope you guys like it!

Here's the article version of this video, that was published to my website. It was made in March and you'll get a sneak peek of the backs if you click! www.theblackjersey.net/post/so-who-would-be-in-scott-robertson-s-2024-all-blacks-team
With Robertson coming in I believe the all blacks will become number again and win the 2027 world cup .
Thankyou for your effort to pronounce names properly, separates the good pundits from the great
Hear! Hear!
The quality of punditry is defined by name pronunciation now? nah
I always do my best but it’s not the only important part of the job aye 😂🙌
@@shakes.dontknowwhatyergettin professionalism is very important. What they talk about is pure subjectivity but there are objective metrics that they can put effort into that improves the quality of their commentary. I appreciate that.
Enjoyed this one, would love to see Lord back in!
Speaking of the devil, I’ve got him as a guest on my channel tomorrow! Hope you’re around for then!
@@TheBlackJersey just watched it and loved it
Thanks
Cheers for watching my man 🙌
As a South African I'm really upset about Robertson upcoming tenure at the ABs. I'd much rather he was coaching in Japan or Super Rugby :)
Would definitely prefer Luke Jacobson over Sotutu as he doesn't go missing when things are looking a bit gloom. He's more of a leader and has the skills and nuance of a captain and overall athleticism is second to none.
Another unsung hero and a traditional hard running, hard defending and quite the jackal is Billy Harmon!! Would have him in my squad somewhere, maybe when Cane retires.
Ardie as captain..... I like Scott barrett but for me last couple years ardies been consistently the abs best player.....
Barrett has been the Crusaders’ captain for four years and Razor will likely wish to give a bit more of a rugged look to the team. Barrett’s played for him since 2014 so knows exactly how he ticks as a coach.
I don't think Ardie is the best man at dealing with the ref, he's a bit stand offish and gets ignored. I think in a few years that's going to be Ethan de Groot, next year though it's probably Barret.
I’ve been told by good sources razor has meet with dalton papilii to sound out his leadership aspirations.
Dalton as 7 and captain, watch this space .
@āe.mārika So when the AB's were doing the throat cutting action when doing their new haka they should have been given the same punishment that Ardie got? Cheers
There's will be afew good leader's on the park, for the All Blacks that is..
2024 All Blacks squad beyond the Crusaders bias will be very interesting, especially when Razor officially takes charge.
Gallagher going from 102-117 clicks is a massive jump! I think he will benefit from that weight hey
Luke Jacobson should surely make the team
Two words HUGH RENTON.
I’ve wanted him in the team for a while. Razor is definitely going to come in with a bias towards Crusaders though 😅
Renton and Withy have been outstanding.
@@TheBlackJersey He's a Mako though.
Didn't you hear? You're no longer the "All Blacks", but the "Black and Tans" according to Joe Biden
Brandon was a little confused mate 😂😂😂
He's playing good rugby don't screw it up by making him Captain
Why not he be alright next year
Cane won't make the cut and grace if fit will other than that not a bad pack but boy are they going to need to be Eddie Australia is coming for the cup if he doesn't get it off foster this year
Where did U play rugby for
Hung the boots up at 17 because of concussions 🤕
Can they move on from Sam Can already?
They will but not yet. Razor sees team culture as very important.
@@TheBlackJersey I'm all for culture and I'm very big on solid leadership structures within team environments, but there has got to be a line. You have a number 7 whose claim to the jersey is tackling. Seriously. Is he head and shoulders above Ardie and Dalton? The ABs are lucky that Ardie took to the test no.8 role like a duck to water because building up to the '19 WC he was on the cusp of being the top openside in the world and to accomodate the tackler, he moved to 6.
Dalton puts up great defensive stats in the black jersey and his win-loss record is very good considering the average Ozzie era. At some point we have to see some case through black & white lenses and just stop with the handling of Sam with oven mitts.
At best he's the 3rd best openside in NZ. Tackles a lot, turnovers for the ABs? Carries? Defenders beaten?
His non existent offensive game along with a similarly ineffective offensive contributor, Frizell, puts too much on the usually skillful NZ hookers or Savea to carry and then lay a platform for an attack. They have to move on from that mindset. Plenty of hard working defenders with admirable leadership qualities in NZ. Sorry.
He move Cane on and replace with a Crusader, or be a crusader all black team.
@@W_Misumzi he tackles himsellf out of the game
@@pita3908 thankfully the crusaders are no longer looking great force razor to look widr
Mikaele-Tu'u is going overseas. It would have been great to keep him, but no such luck.
Kane....impact? He doesn't make an impact. He gives away regular penalties and while a great tackler, doesn't bring anything else to it
he sux
Sam Darry will get a look in. If he didn't go to the Blues he would be talked up ahead of Gallagher.
Yup, I’d suspect that Ah Kuoi, Darry and Holland will be getting look-ins if injuries strike. Tahlor Cahill is also massively impressive at 19 years old 👀
@@ae_marika.9551 it’s most likely too late for them aye 🥶
@@ae_marika.9551 Darry is tall but doesn't offer much else in general play, he doesn't have a strong ball carry and not very accurate or physical in the breakdown like Whitelock or Retallick.
It will be a hard position to fill, Vaai and S. Barrett are the front runners with a few others needing to prove themselves.
Barrett for Captain NO NO NO most carded player
Scot Robertson will select all Crusaders players ...most of us know that.
His Crusaders bias will definitely factor in. But they aren’t going to comprise the whole team 😂
I trust his fair mindedness and integrity. That's all that matters to me. I'm a Chiefs fan.
I don’t think so , in the beginning there may be some leaning towards players he is familiar with but a competitive coach will be interested in winning as number 1 priority. He will be interested in picking his best team to do that .
Any professional coach won't put geographical limits on player quality.
Parkinson for lock. The man is a natural beast with controlled aggression
Not happening. His body’s been broken by injury.
the ab depth is worst ever, the ab team of 2024 is going to be the worst ever ,as this team is rank 5 and only gonna be less strong next year with people going,
Nah man we’ve got plenty of young talent coming along, said talent is just getting nurtured a little later than it used to be. We’ve already seen the worst ABs side of the professional era, it was the one that faced Ireland in 2022.
Nah bro we got heaps good players left, over half that world cup team will be still available and heaps young talent coming up, goes to show you don't watch much NPC
too true
