The SBTFoTW at 7:45 is not the Ranger, it is the merging (DC) vehicle's driver. Unclear if the Ranger sped up, looked like he was maintaining his speed and lane. It is for the merging car (ie. the one crossing the dashed line) to give way to other cars in already in the main (non-merging, continuing lane). That's what the dashed lines mean - give way if you have to cross them. Dashcam car merged dangerously. And before anyone says the Ranger should have moved over to the right lane, that might be a courtesy but is not an expectation. The 'Keep Left Unless Overtaking' means just that, not 'Keep Left Unless Overtaking or Avoiding Some Idiot Who Doesn't Know How To Merge Properly'. No wonder the Ranger driver was annoyed, he was just going along in his lane and the DC car nearly merged into him. DC driver should have merged behind the Ranger, not almost into it. And yes I know Ranger and ute drivers have a 'reputation' that is often deserved, but not this time.
As for the SBTF/Ranger danger.....Western Australian road rules suggest you slip in behind traffic already on the freeway! Match your speed and merge into a gap in the traffic, don't push in and force a gap!
So correct me if I'm wrong, but the DC car doing 97 in the right hand lane of a 100km/h zone and pissed off the truck driver, who tried to cut him off and nearly lost control of his truck. May keeping left unless overtaking would have avoided that situation! Just saying!
Yes, I agree about keeping left but the truck driver was a dick and had a serious MGIF (Must Get In Front) mental defect condition, possibly not yet diagnosed but likely.
Yep righteous DC is in the wrong. Must kept left unless overtaking when speed limit is above 80km/h. Or how about just get out of the way of people who want to go faster that you… not hard. What a jerk!
4:27 This guy genuinely doesn’t know he’s in the wrong lane. Hopefully now he’s embarrassed himself nationally he’ll start driving to the law, and stop being the most hated driver on the roads. Right lane on motorways are passing lanes not driving lanes.
I completely agree👍🏼 any road with a speed limit above 80kph you must keep left unless over taking, the camera is a complete muppet!! Yet I’ve seen driver’s road rage against others who sit in the right lane on a 80kph road😔😔 who think the other car should be in the left lanes… Honestly, people should learn the road rules before uploading themselves acting like fools… looking at this it’s quite obvious it’s a 100+kph road therefore the camera has no right hogging the right hand lane…
7:45 DC driver was changing lanes, had to give way. Should have sped up a bit to get safely ahead of the ute, or slowed enough to slot in behind it. Having your blinker on doesn't override your obligation to give way.
Sounds like the DC driver doesn't know the rules for merging. Mistakenly thought that the vehicle behind had to let the DC vehicle in which some roads have that rule. Not this one clearly. Then played to the story that the Ranger sped up on them to stop them from merging. Yes that would've happened I guess the DC driver underestimated it. Maybe the DC driver should go over the freeway rule book again.
Probably thought there was an exemption of this rule for that particular road. Probably thought that the far right lane was the fast lane. Or something silly like that. He wouldn't have been the only driver to be mistaken on that one. Especially those who have never traveled on freeways and motorways before.
Hi fyi re insurance , not sure where you heard that , but no not correct , all accidents as access on each individual case and road rules deem who is at fault :)
@@ScottsCarcameras Maybe with rare exceptions, but that was the default position some years ago. Certainly that would be the case here - that driver could easily have seen the reversing car & stopped.
Madness in all areas Scotty. Including port botany. Sbtf was a furphy. Dashcammer was the culprit there. Someone got caught speeding. Dashcammer in that particular video had a wicked laugh. Kinda sounded like that of someone who smoked 10 out 25 Marlboro 25s in half an hour. Perhaps downed cough mixture afterwards. Classic cars from all around. That XP Falcon in spring hill was a stunner. Another cool car spotted on forest road in orange which is not far from spring hill i believe.
2:13 - I knew he was trouble when he barged in... Trouble, trouble, trouble... 4:01 - Now why would you even _consider_ standing on someone else's bumper - and what would possess you to do it while the vehicle's OWNERS are seated inside?! 4:38 - No, you don't, 😉 because this is MY comment: If dashcammer is going 97 kph in the passing lane of a 100 kph zone, the brake-checking flatbed had to be going almost 115 kph to pull that stunt. 11:13 - This clip confused me at first. It's a pretty clean Ford F-150 that sounds nice. Then it dawned on me, that's an 8th-Gen ('87-'91), it's technically a classic truck now. 👴 Wow... SBTF: You dropped from 105 kph to 91 kph during the process of cutting off the Ranger. (Aren't YOU supposed to yield to established traffic when merging onto the motorway?) Then you change to the passing lane and accelerate back up to 104/105 mph. He shouldn't have engaged in road rage after the initial incident where you bullied your way into his lane, but you pretty much "earned" that.
Just write it please!! “Keep left unless overtaking” on all roads with a speed limit above 80kph, if the speed limit is 80kph or below then you may sit in the right hand lane to your hearts content🙏🏾 but If it’s above 80kph then get out of the right hand lane once you’ve overtaken the vehicle in front…
I'm tempted to ask what's the oldest car that's been featured in these videos ... I recall seeing one dating from about 1945, but I think there are some even older ones present on this series ...
@@DanielKing-dk5nr I don't think it should be illegal. Yes it's annoying to some but yeah it's not like they're going to use their horn illegally although a small minority do. The DC seems to merge at 107 but then drops to 91 So adding to the problem no wonder the Ranger is not happy
I agree!
I won't chance lanes but i will alter my speed a little ,give people a little room , makes it easy for every one
They were both flogs.
Exactly right the dc vehicle failed to give way at a merge meaning that if any damage was to happen to the ranger driver the dc would be at fault.

Ute should’ve also slowed down a bit to allow for proper merger.
The right lane is clear to move over and just let the cammer merge but instead chose to speed up and to close the lane down.
SBTFW was the cam car who doesn’t know how to merge onto a motorway
Common courtesy should’ve been done by the ranger though. The right lane was clear to move over but instead chose to speed up or and close the gap.
