I was surprised Sunkist was mentioned in the comparison to Slice in addition to Crush. Sunkist contains caffeine unlike other orange sodas.

IIRC orange Slice die not have caffeine at the time of this commercial but added it later in the 1990s. Caffeine was essentially a 4 letter word in 1980s marketing, but by the 90s it was back in vogue.

These stations probably didn't see it that way. Not everyone bought the cable, and even people with cable still watched the local indy stations sometimes.
