I feel ten years old again ❤
Ah, how I long for The Family Channel, reminiscing about its stellar lineup of shows. I treasure my collection of Miracle on 34th Street on VHS, DVD, and even the untouched Blu-Ray, still cocooned in its plastic sheath.

Happy Holidays 🎄 from Nickelodeon!
Disney 365 mentioned everything of what was the Disneyland Resort 2.0. Today we have Pixar Pier, avengers campus and Mickey's philharmagic at Disney California Adventure. At Disneyland we have Star Wars Galaxy's edge, a new improved Mickey's toontown, Mickey and Minnie's runaway Railway, a new improved Haunted Mansion, tropical hideaway, the Adventureland treehouse and Tiana's Bayou Adventure. We still have some of the timeless attractions from Disneyland Resort 2.0 like fantasy fair, Buena Vista Street and Cars Land. However some of the other classics are missing and of course replaced. Like Muppet Vision 3D, the Tower of Terror, the Victorian magic of Paradise Pier, California Screamin and Mickey and the magical map. Plus the Hyperion theater is completely showless once again. Everything of what was the Disneyland Resort 2.0 that was mentioned on Disney 365 from these old school commercials of the Disney Channel what's totally unique and could have been timeless, even Disney's Paradise Pier hotel is completely replaced and has been taken over by Pixar. Everything was great of the Disneyland Resort 2.0 from the early 2010s, it was a complete rebrand of not only Disney California Adventure. But also the whole entire Disneyland Resort, and the whole rebrand and so forth was to really make the Disneyland Resort a multi-day vacation destination in Southern California. In the early 2000s with the opening of Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney, Disney's Grand Californian hotel and spa and Disney's Paradise Pier hotel. It all definitely changed Disneyland and made Disneyland to become the Disneyland Resort. At that time I was just a kid, I was growing out of my toddler age and was becoming a tween. And I remember visiting Disney California Adventure only once, because I was very little at the time I definitely wasn't ready for big thrilling roller coasters. Motion simulators that give the sensation of hang gliding, freefall rides and gigantic Ferris wheels. But I do remember wanting to go to a bug's land, Muppet Vision 3D and what was called at the time Play House Disney live. Before it became Disney Junior live and now known as Disney Junior dance party. Anyway those were the attractions that I wanted to do at Disney California Adventure originally, however one of my parents took me into the wrong attraction. For others it's a classic in which I respect, but I ended up going into it's tough to be a bug. And I was totally terrified of that attraction, as a kid I was traumatized by that 4D attraction. And I know I never wanted to go back to that attraction ever again, and I did tell one of my parents I wanted to experience the rest of bug's land. However one of my parents was very confused and couldn't find it, couldn't find the area with all of the rides and so forth. And it was just on the other side of it's tough to be a bug, my child life was wasted at that time. I did get to see Muppet Vision 3D it scared me a little bit, but it was really fun. And I never got to experience the original Playhouse Disney live. So all of those attractions that I wanted to see and do at Disney California Adventure we're the ones, however the rest of Disney California Adventure was kind of boring. And I didn't know what I was thinking at that time, because I was just a kid. In a way I missed out in the pot of gold from a few areas of the original Disney California Adventure, but I'll never forget the sunshine symbol. Nowadays I really miss the sunshine symbol of Disney California Adventure, because that was the original trademark of Disney California Adventure back then. By the mid-2000s and the late 2000s like everybody else and who knows how many kids they started to tune in to the internet, and of course UA-cam was one of those newest things that made up the internet. I remembered going on who knows how many internet sites about the Disneyland resort, and going on UA-cam to get information of what is going on at the Disneyland Resort. As well as being informed by new updates and things to come for the Disneyland resort. And once I found out thanks with the help of UA-cam and the rest of the internet at that time, I was informed that new attractions and so forth was going to remake Disney California Adventure. I'll never forget when they mention a brand new main entrance which is now Buena Vista street, a Victorian remake of Paradise Pier and of course carsland. When I found out all about all of that from the internet at that time, I was hyped and I was definitely ready. Because I was growing up, and I was willing to do some of the cool stuff at Disney California Adventure for a return. Like California Screamin, the Tower of Terror, Soarin and the gigantic ferris wheel. I was definitely hoping and willing to do all those cool stuff to return to Disney California Adventure at the time when I was growing up, because I remembered starting to go on Space Mountain another roller coasters. However I didn't expect brand new attractions to come to Disney California Adventure at that time, but when I found out thanks to the help of the internet and UA-cam. It definitely changed my mind, and wanted me to go back to Disney California Adventure completely. Because I knew the theme park wasn't going to be boring anymore. And I knew I wanted to try out Cars Land. And by the time when everything was ready until 2012, I got the chance to experience the rebrand of Disney California Adventure. And I thought it was better than how Disney California Adventure first started when it opens back in 2001. Although I did miss the sunshine symbol, the original trademark of Disney California Adventure was gone. I really missed that Sunshine symbol trademark. But the truth is further along the horizon, I didn't know that Disneyland was going to get Fantasy Fair and pixie hollow. I even didn't know that Mickey and the magical map was going to be included. But the truth was is that when all of that came about rebranding Disney California Adventure and Disneyland getting a few new attractions. That all became the Disneyland Resort 2.0. The Disneyland Resort 2.0 was really a big success, and definitely became a multi-day vacation destination almost beating Walt Disney World in Florida. But this was a multi-day vacation destination that the Disney company wanted to do for Southern California since 2001, and because Disney California Adventure was a minor success from that time. I remembered a lot of people wanted to go to Disneyland more than Disney California Adventure and I was one of them, because I was just a kid at the time. Even though the Disneyland hotel, Disney's Grand Californian hotel and spa and Disney's Paradise Pier hotel got a lot of credit from visitors and tourists. Back in the 2000s almost all of those visitors and tourists in those hotels wanted to go straight to Disneyland. Even though Disney California Adventure back in the 2000s was growing with brand new attractions so that way there will be something for kids to do, and a new e-ticket attraction which was the Tower of Terror. The theme park was still struggling and still wasn't getting that much credit like Disneyland, because the big crowds went to Disneyland and kept going on to Disneyland. And I can tell the Disneyland hotel, Disney's Grand Californian hotel and spa and Disney's Paradise Pier hotel have visitors and so forth that became big crowds more for Disneyland. Because back in the 2000s Disney California Adventure was really struggling to get a lot of credit and big crowds. And so when it was rebrand in 2012 and became the Disneyland Resort 2.0, Disney California Adventure finally got the attention that the theme park had been struggling to do since 2001. And even though Disneyland got a few new attractions, the entire Disneyland Resort at the time was really the big success. And fully became a multi-day vacation destination of Southern California. And all of that from the Disneyland Resort 2.0, I should say was definitely not only a big success but a real true classic of the Disneyland Resort. And another thing the Disneyland Resort 2.0 was definitely a masterpiece. I wish that all of that could have still existed for today like what was shown on Disney 365 from this Disney Channel commercials video, I really miss the Disneyland Resort 2.0 Magic. One thing for sure I wish the Tower of Terror would still exist at Disney California Adventure, and it would be fine if avengers campus would be part of the territory replacing a bug's land. However I wish Bay area would be the Spider-Man web slingers, an avengers e-ticket attraction and guardians of the Galaxy cosmic rewind. Because now that I think of it today, I wish that could have been the avengers campus at Disney California Adventure of today. If they didn't tamper and replace the Tower of Terror. Most important of all I wish the remake and Victorian style Paradise Pier with still exist, I even wish California Screamin would still exist. I also wish they could have made an Incredibles attraction with a motion simulator for Paradise Pier or for hollywoodland, to me that would have made sense for The Incredibles. Do you have an attraction with a motion simulator, inspired by the Iron Man experience from Hong Kong Disneyland. I also wish Disney's Paradise Pier hotel would still exist and still be the towering trademark for the Paradise Pier area. And I wish Muppet Vision 3D would still exist at Disney California Adventure. And for all of the other fans, yes I wish Mickey and the magical map with still exist. I wish everything the Disneyland Resort 2.0 would still exist even with the addition of avengers campus and Star Wars Galaxy's edge. And the new improved Mickey's Toontown along with Mickey and Minnie's runaway Railway and Tiana's Bayou Adventure. The 2.0 version of the Disneyland Resort was definitely a masterpiece and a true classic, and should have been timeless
Totally forgot about this gem 😂 I miss the 90s terribly.

4:42 - Bob Howard (then bottom-of-the-hour PM drive anchor at 1010 WINS) on-camera for Potamkin Cadillac; he apparently alternated at this point with Luba Potamkin in this capacity. He also did radio ads for the company - and as such, was also heard on rival (R.I.P.) WCBS Newsradio 88. Very early in his career, he was a disc jockey at sister station WNEW 1130 (thus Channel 5 airing this ad of all is a bit ironic), and towards the end of his stint there transitioned to news reading. In the late '60's, a la Barbara Korsen, he part-timed at both WINS (starting in 1968, three years into its run as "All News, All the Time") and (as :55 and :25 overnight news reader) WABC Musicradio 77. In fact, Howard was the news reader at WABC the early morning of Oct. 21, 1969, when Roby Yonge made his infamous "Paul Is Dead" broadcast - and got yanked midway through his show by program director Rick Sklar and replaced that very morning with another future V/O legend, Les Marshak. (Of course, by the time of this ad, Howard was a full-time WINS staffer, still doing commercial work like this one.)
Can you please upload Chuck Scarborough videos? It was his last newscast.

My first family vacation was to Universal Studios/ Nickelodeon Studios in 1994 (I was in kindergarten). It has stuck with me for my entire life. Being a 90’s Nickelodeon kid was magical. During the studio tour, I got to go through the set of “My Brother and Me” (one of my favs from the era) 🙂
