You do the best interviews, man. Thank you for allowing human beings to be as honest and open as they can be without passing judgement or making them feel like bad people. I can hear your genuine compassion and desire to connect with marginalized members of our communities. Your interviewees clearly get that. Please keep showing others that kindness is truly free, and that cruelty costs us all very, very much. I wish everyone who is struggling the strength to endure, hope to get well, luck for brighter futures, and the love that life has often cheated them out of. 🤍
What am awesome example of what it's like to talk to someone on the blues.. he wanted so badly to hang and talk... but he was just too dang high. Lol. Great interview!
I have a niece out there on those same streets living that life. My heart breaks watching your videos knowing she’s out there and there’s nothing I can do but pray for her. My nephews just want their mom to come home they miss her so much.
Growing up in the South Valley in the 70s, a huge problem was paint huffing. The country needs to figure out how to help people not feel so much pressure that they're trying to escape reality so hard
Ive seen several people not from New Mexico comment about how clean and well fed the street people are there and its true. They look good considering what their circumstances are. They are high AF but still eating 😆.
Ya im glad i stoped b4 this blue epademic hit cuz its hard to find heroine n meth without fentanyl in it. Im blessed and i hope the best for this man god bless him
Or preferably rehab. Jail forces them sober and they are typically in for a small amount of time. (2 days up to a year) When they are released there should be a halfway house program/in or outpatient reahb, counseling, menal health resources and help finding jobs etc. Instead many end up tossed back into the smame situation with no guidance or support. What's worse is, when they come out they are sober and inevitably go back to doing their drug of choice. Their tolerance level has lowered and the possibility of OD is extremely high My family is/has been plagued with addiction issues. Sadly I know what it feels like and the realities ...
The mistake of offering a snack or food right before the interview (crunching, paper rustling and then they can't talk because they are in mid- munch) 🤷♀️😆 Jail forces them sober and they are typically in for a small amount of time. The real mistake was letting ray smoke too much right before the interview. He needed something because he was getting sick...but he over did it ... obviously. He wasnt even capable of talking for the first 15 minutes...which i edited out. More or less it all turned into a shit show...whats left is the best i could salvage from it. Lol
@@derivedmind Oh yeah for sure. I could tell. I actually edited my comment so pls re read it... TY for the response. You're doing a great thing to raise awareness. Sending positive vibes from the Windy City

This guy doesn't know what planet he's on. He needs to go in the tank at least a month or two to feel sober again.
