I missed your HLA mods showcase videos! Good to see you back! Some of these HLA mods are fantastic. The Undertow really took me by surprise and man that map looked gorgeous on OLED (O+) But to be fair a lot of HLA maps always surprise me, this game is magical... Sucks it feels like Valve abandoned it and or HLA isn't receiving as much mods as we would have hoped, really a lot of respect to the people still making mods for HLA
"From Here to There" is my new favorite mod. I was continually impressed throughout the journey with the scope and uniqueness of what they accomplished
Alyx has such a great foundation for FPS in VR that they could just make mods for this like Call of Duty did for 2 decades without an actual sequel, still so much potential in this engine, it's not like we're getting many AAAs these days anyway.
Not picked up my vr for about 12 months. Dug it out and updated my drivers last night. Went straight back into half life and was blown away once again.
Do you know another mod like “Gunman Contracts”? Like the same gameplay, none of gravity gloves and those stuff, just real life with a normal pistol? That mod is fire, my favourite
Great video! You have done lots of Alyx mods videos, have you considered making a top 10/20 all time mods video? Maybe different categories, top campaigns/modifiers/short levels/puzzles/misc? There are so many now and I have a hard time choosing mods
Its crazy to think i have about 120 hours of playtime on HLA. And ive only played the original main storyline twice. The rest of the time have been on mods. The Bioshock return to rapture taking the longest. I hope they have some new campaign mods coming out soon
Its awesome to see a PC VR game that has everyone agrees it's worth every penny. 👍 Meanwhile Meta shuts down one of their top games. So self destructive of Meta. I hope we get another VR gem from Valve soon..
My only gripe is at the base game of HL Alyx was a little too easy. I had to play it on hard and do the gnome challenge, in order to make it not go by too fast.
@@JoinUsInVR Same for me. It is obvious that Alyx was developed for VR first time users or casuals, not veterans or hardcore gamers. Now if you want a real challenge try HL2 VR mod on hard difficulty. I had a lot more fun

Does anyone know what the Alarm clock at 6:00 was called? That was my first ever alarm clock I was expected to use as a child. That golden age when you were finally expected to handle your own mornings. If anyone can help me find one online I would really appreciate it. A little nostalgia goes a long way for us old timers.
every time i look at this engine im blown away by how great it looks. it looks like path tracing but its not path traced. and it runs on potato hardware which is the craziest part. getting graphics like this in UE5 means you'd need at least an rtx2080 and you probably wont get more than 50 fps but in source 2 you can achieve these graphics with a gtx1060 in VR.. imagine what valve could do if they made a normal game without having to render everything twice.
it bogles my mind how successful Alyx is and Valve hasnt tried anything new for the VR space. There are still no other titles to take the throne of graphics, story and immersion.
Have to agree Levitation was excellent, I did a Friday live review of it and got so involved in it I played for over 3Hrs.. ua-cam.com/users/liveOxK0a-eBJs8 and then ended it the next Monday for a new series that I started call Mod VR Mondays ua-cam.com/users/live74wByc-xgfs. Spoiler I loved it as well, very polished like ben has mentioned.

I enjoyed playing some of these addons myself, especially the Undertow. Maybe someday one of my addons will be on one of your lists 🤩🤞

Yeah, there is! The last time I tried it would sometimes crash my game though. Search for it on the workshop and you’ll find it.😁

Subscribing is like downloading. They should now be in the Add-Ons menu in the game 😁
