@@pedromiguel748 It would've been much more accurate to just have a US Marine Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion heavy transport helicopter airdropping an LAV-25 IFV in the middle of the Rosenberg fight and have it start with a very deadly fast-rope ambush popping lots of smoke grenades, and just relocate the M1A1 FEP Abrams tank fight to it's own entirely separate "Uncut" level with a higher difficulty compared to the original fight, in-between sections where you reach Dr. Rosenberg, just like in the original.

@@Alex_Guy1011 I will say that, to be fair, the HECU aren't regular marines but a special unit trained for unconventional situations. However, Crowbar Collective did try to make them more realistically equipped by replacing the M2 Bradleys with LAV-25s along with having the marines wear more realistic uniforms and armor, so goofs like that are pretty annoying. It also just looks outright DUMB to have a helicopter airlifting an ABRAMS MBT into an area right in front of the player in some kind of silly ambush or whatever.

I'm wondering how the Black Mesa incident would've played out if the HECU were assigned to ignore the Black Mesa staff instead of "Silence" them. I feel like if they were only fighting against the Zen aliens and didn't have to also fight against Gordon Freeman and Barney Calhoun they probably could've taken better control of the situation.
i think some HECU team was meant to be send in first for extracting vital targets so that's prob why they just pretend to "rescue" you in reality, they just want to try to identify the important personnel and non important ones, and eliminate the non important ones while interrogate the important ones, also if Breen was in Black Mesa during the disaster, well HECU would've considered him vital personnel and probably made an exception for cleanup and extracted him instead

im kinda late, but at 8:25 after you blow the gate with the tow launcher, and then shoot it again at the stinger unit, screams, explosion and radio cutoff sound will be heard on the radio. I guess thats a pretty cool fact how the radio is really interfaced with the hecu marine that is speaking
My fav part of Black Mesa Blue Shift is the HECU that act friendly towards you only to ambush you. It was so surprising to me I thought the game bugged.
Black Mesa Blue Shift has done more to make the military invasion feel more realistic that any other bit of content from the half life universe. Of course the groups would try to trick employees into thinking they are here to rescue them to make it easier for themselves. Obviously they’d be paranoid about not having enough men when they’re an already secretive operation with only so many men at their disposal. In the chaos, of course they’d forget about stripping Barney of his weapons when they get thrown into a confrontation(and of course the one in command would immediately pin the blame on the guy telling him the information lol) These are all people that don’t truly understand the full implications of the situation that they are in and it’s genuinely really cool stuff to go through all this and see how they all react.

I love the different dialogue depending on actions, it’s something really little but it’s one of those little things that add immersion largely

Eu acabei de jogar o Blue Shift original e ficava pensando no remake , não vejo a hora de ver Xen que está em desenvolvimento, o 6º capítulo que tem aquele lago de ácido que temos que empurrar os barris pra subir neles e claro matar mais soldados e os xenianos e o último capítulo que todos conseguem fugir e claro que quero que todos consigam fugir e vem os soldados e você atira neles e vai direto pro portal e o Calhoun fica se teletransportando para Xen e depois vê o melhor amigo dele Freeman sendo arrastado pelos soldados e depois volta pro Dr Rosenberg e eles vão embora , quero ver como vai ficar esses três capítulos fiinais

I think he did an alright job for what he had to imitate, on my first playthrough i genuinely thought it was Mikey but putting on a different voice, then I realised it wasn’t and was pretty surprised
I disagree i think the variety and character of their voice is fun in a different way
