- *Pholourie Ingredients:*
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup ground split peas
1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon yellow food coloring or turmeric powder
1 teaspoon roasted cumin (jeera)
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon garlic and ginger paste
1 tablespoon green seasoning
1 scallion, chopped
Lukewarm water (about 1 1/2 to 2 cups)
Enjoy making your Pholourie!

I like the pure dal polourie. I remembered that my mother used to make it on Eid day too. Those I dont remember eating it with sour, but they are the best ones I would choose.

This is one of my favorite snack, I do not know much about Guyana street food but my mom says potato ball or cassava ball or boil channa or dhall puri with mango sour. Lets see which one or someone might have something else. Eat some for us.
