Might sound senseless, but I'm going to smoke the valve stem and valve spout before use for the very same reason it is recommended to smoke molds. Just got mine in and want to make the best of it. I'll probably smoke the valve assembly each time I give the pot a really thorough cleaning. Thanks for the video, AGW.:-)

Thanks for the video. I just got my Lee 4-20 and the reloading bench built and so time to get started making Lee 7/8oz lead slugs.
I've been using one of these pots for a couple years, good unit for the money.
Koba, I just opened up my new Lee pro4-20 melting pot, I attached the lift arm knob, but my lift arm does not move up and down, can you advise ?
I sold that pot a few years ago so sorry can't help
