Although he's done with making Fnaf videos, there's no doubt that he's definitely made a major impact on the fnaf community, if not the series, as a whole.
honestly as a child who got horrible nightmares and hallucinations (that i still get to this day) from the early fnaf series, Garrett made staying in the fandom a lot easier for me because even though i loved the game and the fandom i was waking up panicked and crying in my room from hallucinations almost every night. how to make fnaf not scary was one of my favourite collection of videos back then.
The hallucinations were horrible the amount of times I heard foxy running down my landing and jumping at me while I’m awake is something I will never forget and swing Freddy just laugh while looking at me I hope the hallucinations will stop for you but I feel your pain
I was introduced to Garrett through Not Scary, but he actually ended up being one of my favorite creators on the platform for his RTTTAs, his music, and basically everything else he’s done.
This man is actually a brilliant producer and music composer. I’ve been a fan for years, actually found out about him because of his Fnaf series. So many memories.
As the "One Minute at Freddy's Guy," a series that could arguably also be called Not Scary clones, Garrett was such an inspiration. And he's a totally different kind of inspiration today. It's amazing to see what he's been able to accomplish in the music scene and I've never stopped rooting for him. Go get it!
Those videos were incredibly funny, but it’s kinda sad that people mostly just see Garret as the FNAF Not Scary guy instead of anything else he’s done.
Honestly I feel like despite how much he hated the pizza joke , it seems to have been the joke that lived past the series, since the joke basically became the fanbases go to joke for chica. Hell security breach did it (although i think its just a coincidence )
I love this guy. I still watch his streams every now and again and he has a redeemable channel points button on Twitch where he says “pizza” in Chica’s voice. It’s bittersweet because you know he’s tired of it but still paying homage.
When I figured out that Garret was making music for Scott The Woz, I was so suprised that someone I watched in 2014 and stopped watching in around 2017 I believe, was making music for someone I watch now.
Wow I forgot how thick the lore of How to Make Five Nights at Freddy’s Not Scary was, really glad to see Garrett is currently doing what he loves to this day!
This man worked with Scott the Woz, considering he started off as making silly Fnaf videos to working with the guy who talks about stupid Nintendo Games I say the Garret is doing just fine.
I was taken on a trip back in time when I read the title. I was expecting a horror story and bad news, but honestly, Garrett's living the life! Good for him!
Dude, no straight roads is one of my favorite game is right now. I absolutely love the soundtrack off of that game and I knew I got some good feelings off of that game for a reason. Now knowing that this is part of somebody's passion after a time of when they felt like they were going to be stuck to something they were barely even wanting to do. The fact that he made his dreams come true makes me love that game even more. And it makes me find it even that much more inspiring
Me and my best friend in 4th grade used to be obsessed with his FNAF not scary videos, we would constantly quote it at school and it became sort of an inside joke for us. It makes me sad to think that the creator didn't enjoy making them and people only came to his channel for those FNAF videos.
I'm surprised by the fact that there's no mention of gamer duck! He was my favourite not scary creator when i was younger, and until i watched this video i had the idea that he wasn’t actually the original creator of the series. I remember always watching his videos, and his series included fnaf fan games so that was what introduced me to a bunch of fan creations! But something i find especially cool is that he's actually a voice actor now and he ended up voicing Ena from, well, Ena And i think that's neat
Garrett's original music is also really good. My personal favs are Terminate, Jealousy, Backstage, Thin Ice, and Thought of You. Absolute FREAKING masterpieces.
love that you compared it to the lazer collection cuz the guy behind that, dom, also grew to hate his own creation for being his flagship series and he got more and more passive aggressive with each entry there too
Honestly, I'm glad Not Scary exists in a way because I remember watching his Super Mario 64 RTTTA because of one of them. I got into the RTTTA series because of Not Scary and I'm glad I found it because I really liked RTTTA, and I think it's a huge shame we never got more. They were honestly one of the inspirations for me to make videos and it probably had an influence on my sense of humor.
"the content here was a little sporadic" probably should be a quote for any of Garrett's channels i have to say being able to hear this in depth of a look on his channel really brings me back, and i have been happy for the recent things ive been able to see him in with making music for alpharad and scott the woz
im so glad that garrett is able to do what he loves and follow his dreams of making music! i may have to check out some of his stuff 👀 i know i watched some of the fnaf not scary videos as a kid but i never knew that garrett did other stuff and it's really cool to learn about what he's done and what he's been doing outside of fnaf!
Even though he is not making these videos anymore he definitely made a bunch of us laugh. I occasionally watch the FNAF Not Scary series and the nostalgia hits me hard. I swear he is the only reason Chica is obsessed with pizza in the later games😂
I was actually a BIG fan of his RTTTA series, and I'm honestly surprised they didn't do as well as the Not Scary videos. So while I did enjoy his fnaf videos when I was much younger, as I got older his other content grew really enjoyable to me.
I remember seeing these back in the day, and I was young and dumb so I thought they were actual tutorials and was upset that they didn't actually tell you how to make them not scary
honestly i can relate. i’ve decided to never make consistent fandom content of any kind again, just so that nothing becomes trendy and puts me in that hole again. kudos to garrett for getting himself out of it and continuing to thrive.
honestly not surprised at all that he ended up doing work for scott the woz in that clip of one of his non not scary videos that you shown i couldn't help but get that scott vibe
"THAT'S WHERE I RECOGNIZE HIS FUCKING NAME!" is what I just shouted to myself. I love No Straight Roads, currently my video game hyperfixation, and when I saw Garrett Williamson under one of the song tiles, I was like 'huh, he seems familiar' but never bothered to look it up. Garrett, if you possibly see this, I love 78RPM!
I genuinely did not know Garrett made the fnaf not scary vids, and FNaF has been one of the most influential series for me. To be honest, I only knew Garrett from his wo woth Scott the woz, so I was surprised to hear he was the one who made them (not in a bad way sphsfjdgfh). All this to say, great video!! it's v v interesting ! :D
When I realized Garrett was the same person who made How to Make FNaF Not Scary and the guy who composed most of Scott "Guy who owns Sonic Jam" The Woz's songs and Alpha "Internet Funnyman" Radical's new outro was shocked
Great video man this really did show what was behind this old series, if I was to recommend anything else Fnaf that may have had an impact at the time I’d recommend looking back on the old smg4 parody videos and while I don’t remember them now they still had a bit of an impact to a lot of people
I'm exactly in the same situation as garret. I made a French equivalent of "how to make fnaf not scary" and it got 13 million views up to this day, I couldn't belive it. My subscriber count skyrocketed, so I made more. Unfortunately, I had to stop at some point, because I got tired of the game, so I did other content such as 3d animation, gaming and drawing animations. My subs doesn't seem interested in my recent content besides fnaf, and it hurts. It's been 4 years that I'm struggling to create content, but it barely reaches audience to anyone. Maybe I should start a brand new channel...
You know what this sorta reminds me of? Risk Rim. He’s a decently sized UA-cam Channel who mainly does horror game lets plays. However he eventually prominently began to play mostly FNaF Fangames and it was what he was mainly known for for a while. He did eventually quit FNaF Fangames and still uploads (his last upload was about 2 weeks ago) but just sorting thru his most popular videos shows that most of the top ones are all FNaF fangames related
To kinda sum it up in the way I see it is, Garrett wanted to be a musician but also did UA-cam and when he made one video for a new game/Fnaf that had come out, the video was just a joke and ended up getting a ton of views, more then the work he actually cared about and tried for, so for a bit he did work he disliked but also knew people wanted more of that work, garret knew that this series was dumb and just did not like making because it was not his thing, and he did not wanted to be labeled as a “Fnaf UA-camr” he wanted to be seen as Garrett. That’s the way I see it I’m probably missing some shit but idk I just wanted to write out my thought’s.
Hoenstly, I liked the “How to make Fnaf not scary” video he made 7 years ago. Also, the channel I remember the most that also had the “How to make -blank- not scary “ was gamer-duck. I watched half of his “How to make -blank- not scary” videos when I was really young. And honestly, I liked how you brought up the masterpiece of a fnaf video again. It brought so many memories of mine.
Hey uhyeah Garrets situation reminds me of this other channel that basically had the same situation! Their channel is called MovieUnleashers and it’d be interesting to see you cover their Fnaf history the same way you did for this one!
He made the music for NSR’s Encore Edition trailer?! That was one of my favorite parts aside from the visuals and the game itself! Glad he’s going places.
weird to think that ive technically contributed to this legendary series, considering that some of the sfm animations in BlastphamousHD's security breach one have my models in it
I'm glad to see Garett is doing well for himself and isn't just one of those people stuck forever trying to chase that viral success they got one singular time. Very glad to see his decision to pivot entirely to music has worked out for him.
These Not Scary videos were the first pieces of fnaf I ever saw as a child and ironically still scared me haha, but it introduced me to the franchise and I’m glad that I did
i used to watch the fnaf not scary videos all the time when i was younger. i remember seeing fnaf 3 not scary shortly after it came out. now i always hear Garrett's music in Scott the Woz videos, and it's nice to know he's still a part of my youtube experience all these years later
I mean if it wasn’t for those videos, I wouldn’t have ever encountered my favorite Malo Mart remix. Absolutely love the full version he ended up posting. Love it and all his music work.
im mostly sad about him quitting youtube as a whole tbh would be still cool to have videos of him talking about random shit I'm very happy he is doing very well right now
@@phoenixflambe3319 he's already doing that its just clear that he really used to like the videos where he could just sit down and talk about random shit so kinda sad that he got demotivated from that
Yet another lesson in not doing things sarcastically or ironically because then you get cursed with having to be that thing sincerely or spending a really long time trying to escape it. Bald man is still making those Fnaf parody videos because all he really cares about is the money, a real artist needs to be more careful with what they put out there less they be obligated to make it for a ravenous audience.
Really glad to see this video be done, it's about time the Fnaf community sees Garrett for who he really is. When you do work for NSR, Scott, and even Alpharad, you know you're good. He really is one of the most talented musicians I've ever heard.
I watched FNaF 1 Not Scary a few weeks ago because it was in my recommended. I had completely forgotten about it so I was like "HOLY SHIT A CORE MEMORY" but I remembered hating it as a kid. Now I'm watching this and being reminded not scary 3 exists, I remember loving that vid. Glad he's persuing dreams now though, I literally have been through this exact thing on UA-cam just not on as big a scale
If you've somehow not listened to Garrett's music before, I can't recommend it highly enough. His song "What if I'm Hurt Again By You" is probably my favorite. Also RTTTA is awesome
I can understand being stuck in a loop of the same content. I made a dumb series where I had SCPs and character from My Hero Academia meet each other. I only made 2 seasons, 5 episodes each, but the first episode has 800K views. While it's kind of died down, there were multiple comments soon after the end of season 2 of people begging for a season 3. I even made a joke about it by posting a fake episode of season 3 on April Fools. I focused on SCP content after the end of the series, but my love for the SCP characters is starting to falter as well, and I want to make content about FNaF, a series that I'm WAY more invested in. I'm not sure how to go about it, especially because I feel like I've established myself as an SCP Gachatuber pretty well, but maybe it wouldn't be so bad to just start posting FNaF content, even if it does get me minimal views.
FNaF 2’s not scary was my introduction to the series back in November 2014, and I’ve been in the fandom ever since. It’s my special interest at this point as well.
Completely non FNAF related opinion about Garrett, his single “What if I’m hurt again” from 2018 is an absolute bop and I still listen to it on repeat every once in a while.
Caught wind of this through a friend. I was ready to fact check it but man you did your research! Though, seeing those old horrible tweets was painful 😂 Fantastic video, and I greatly appreciate both your honesty and kindness. This video actually made my day. Great work, keep it up.

Imagine if Scott or anyone else working on a FNaF game wanted to hire Garrett to make music for it lol
I mean if it wasn’t for those videos, I wouldn’t have ever encountered my favorite Malo Mart remix. Absolutely love the full version he ended up posting. Love it and all his music work.
im mostly sad about him quitting youtube as a whole tbh
would be still cool to have videos of him talking about random shit
I'm very happy he is doing very well right now
Not even to collab or to make music for people?
@@phoenixflambe3319 he's already doing that
its just clear that he really used to like the videos where he could just sit down and talk about random shit so kinda sad that he got demotivated from that
The series was legitimately so iconic. I still this day quote “Do you want some pancakes?” randomly when I remember it 😭
The funny thing is
It's Garrett WILLIAMson
bro this was one of my favourite series back in the day
Yet another lesson in not doing things sarcastically or ironically because then you get cursed with having to be that thing sincerely or spending a really long time trying to escape it.
Bald man is still making those Fnaf parody videos because all he really cares about is the money, a real artist needs to be more careful with what they put out there less they be obligated to make it for a ravenous audience.
I'm very happy that Garret is having fun making music like he wanted to. That's awesome for him. Wish him the best.
Ok but can we talk about how much of a glow up Garrett had over the years
Really glad to see this video be done, it's about time the Fnaf community sees Garrett for who he really is. When you do work for NSR, Scott, and even Alpharad, you know you're good. He really is one of the most talented musicians I've ever heard.
Who's NSR?
@@myhlosic I mean the game No Straight Roads.
Garrett seems like a prototype to scott the woz so it makes sense 16:46
i luv these “where are they now” classic fnaf channel videos
I remember seeing these videos in 2015, I loved them lmao
I watched FNaF 1 Not Scary a few weeks ago because it was in my recommended. I had completely forgotten about it so I was like "HOLY SHIT A CORE MEMORY" but I remembered hating it as a kid. Now I'm watching this and being reminded not scary 3 exists, I remember loving that vid. Glad he's persuing dreams now though, I literally have been through this exact thing on UA-cam just not on as big a scale
Dude, B&B films IS making a Security Breach not scary. They just haven’t had the time to do it. They said this in a community post.
YES!!!!
They can just play the game. And bam.
seeing that intro for fnaf 2 not scary was such a good memory you unlocked
If you've somehow not listened to Garrett's music before, I can't recommend it highly enough. His song "What if I'm Hurt Again By You" is probably my favorite. Also RTTTA is awesome
man that video was such a classic but even just looking at the thumbnail now fills me with rage
I don’t remember the footage, but I remember ALWAYS watching those GMod versions of this audio and thinking it was the most funny thing in the world.
Fnaf 2 used to scare me as a kid so I liked Garrett's videos. Jokes do get old but it made me laugh back then because it was so silly.
10:54 this is amazing
The "piiiizzaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAA" joke is still funny and you cant convince me otherwise
Bro just unlocked my childhood
bro garrett williamson makes such crazy bangers, fnaf not scary is such a wild part of the garrett williamson lore
The FNaF 1 non scary video was literally how I found out about FNaF lol
FNaF 2’s not scary was my introduction to the series back in November 2014, and I’ve been in the fandom ever since. It’s my special interest at this point as well.
The worst part of Becoming an adult is seeing your favorite UA-cam rs become cringe
To be honest, I’m actually thinking of making fnaf not scary some day just to bring back good old memories
I used to know him for his fnaf videos and now I only know him as "HOLY FUCK IS THAT SCOTT THE WOZ??????" musician
Completely non FNAF related opinion about Garrett, his single “What if I’m hurt again” from 2018 is an absolute bop and I still listen to it on repeat every once in a while.
I liked these and the how to make FNAC (Five nights at Chuck e’s) not scary video :)
You should’ve mentioned GamerDuck for the “clones” section, those ones were pretty big!
"She is such a bad bitch though."
