Mr AA I love your content you better than most of these bloggers that's on the app on the Raptors content however I don't see that much likes for you just keep up the good work and I really appreciate you you explain well about the game you have good knowledge about the game and that's what I like about you and you would say the right and the wrongs and you're not much of a homer like some of these Raptors bloggers😊 thank you again
@@RaptorsReport the problem with yak is he is having a career year, and next season is his contract year. so an early extension in summer has yak likely asking for claxton/hartenstein money of 28-30 million a year for 4 years. RJ also had a contract coming up and they cant pay both without going into luxury tax, and rogers wont pay the luxury tax for a rebuilding team. so masai has to decide on tradking yak or RJ this year for max value basically.
@@josefloidl3404 jakob poeltl is in a contract year next year, and paying him hartenstein money isnt in the books with rj needing a new contract soon also. its why jakob poeltl is likely gone unless they trade RJ. cant keep both as rogers wont pay luxury tax.
Jakob’s no Marc Gasol but he’s one of the few guys in the league whose personality brings more to the game and locker room than his individual skills. I’d explore packages but if nothing lucrative comes by, I’d hold onto him for as long as possible until he says he’s gonna leave or demands an absurd sum of money.
yaks in a contract year next season and he will be asking for hartenstein money in summer in early extension. its why they have to trade him this year.
can you guys imagine in another universe the raptors’ record was decent and yak was being labeled a dark horse DPOY? if we capture the Flagg and jak stays great maybe the team can pull it off next year… thanks for helping me unwind from work RR! 💜🖤❤️ should’ve watched more before commenting: I think we should keep poeltl unless they get a massive overpay, even three FRPs imo. he’s great in the locker room and on the floor (I don’t want anymore centreless, seemingly toxic basketball like years prior, Jak doesn’t seem to have that). The Raps aren’t winning the games he plays, so if they’re tanking I don’t see any way in which he’s hurting the team he could be the next horford if he accepts the role and salary. spot on comparison PS: seriously what’s going on with the refs
Totally get the sentiment about the locker room and Jak. I think he’s a difference maker there. As for the refs, they always seem to wear green in Boston. It’s nuts.
I don't miss the years when we were begging the front office for a competent center, why be so quick to get rid of the one we have? Unless we can replace his skillset and production in a meaningful way, I would keep Jakob even just so that everyone can play more ideal positions instead of sliding up and playing small.
because raptors are rebuilding, and next year is yaks contract year. so in summer he will be asking for hartenstein money of 30 million a year. its why they have to trade him now for max value. rj has contract coming also and cant pay both cuz rogers wont pay luxury tax for a lottery team
Just wondering. What’s your opinion on RJ Barrett’s future with the Raptors given how guard/wing heavy the next two draft classes are, the sudden emergence of Dick as a legit starting SG going forward and his future contract extension in 2027-2028? If we do get a top 5 pick this year (whether it be Bailey, Cooper, Thompson, Harper or Demin), is RJ starting to be in the conversation of being traded in 1-2 years to avoid paying him a massive contract? As for Yak, I think you keep him until you get an absolutely good trade package. I’m happy with keeping him if teams aren’t willing to fork up at least 2 picks
I like RJ, and I don’t think they should be in a hurry to move him. He is under contract for a while. If there are problems or overlap between him and a teammate, you can address that then, but I don’t foresee any issues on the horizon.

last video i commented about how maybe we should trade Jakob but unless we can get a bigman in return we need Jak's skills i can barely watch Bruno Fernando now i dont want to watch him for 48 minutes
@@RaptorsReport you trade yak for a pick or two and draft a big in draft. he makes too much and will be asking for hartenstein money having a career year in early extension in summer. dont need yak on a rebuilding team, he gets you a worse pick.
The Raptors wont be competing for a championship for the next 3-4 years. Toronto as a destination doesnt attract top tier talent/players and so the only way to get that talent is through the draft. Thats why we need to trade RJ and Jak now for as much lottery talent as we can get so they can develop and be ready to compete for a championship in the next 2-3 years. This is the exact same stategy that OKC employed to get Chet and J Dub and it is the same strategy that the Spurs used to get Wembenyama and Magic employed to get Franz and Banchero in order to become competitive and it works! Also, this is really the only method we can use since no star wants to come to Toronto due to taxes, it being a different country, etc. Also, Rogers hardly ever goes into the luxury tax to spend the required money for top tier talent like GSW did for all those years that it was winning championships. So in the end, keeping Jak is most likely not going to win you another championship. However, if you trade him & get some good draft picks, those pieces may vary well develop into elite players who can help us to get another title & so it does make sense to trade Jak.
I know that I screwed up Mikal Bridges’ name pronunciation. Not sure why? I’ve pronounced it correctly before 😕
Don’t sell Jakob, he is the steadying rudder of the team. Loved your video. Great content as usual.
Having a good big unlocks the playmaking and shotmaking of others on the team. Keep Yak

Jacob had been great, great time to sell high! Best for him too, we aren't winning anytime soon
The last time raptors sold him the won the title
I love his play. He so humble und straight forward as a big

Would you consider Poetl a top 15 center in NBA?
Off the top of my head I’d say so. I’d have to re-examine the list though.
Absolutely

it'd be great if they trade him to pelicans for one of hawkins, murphy or herb jones.
pelicans cant afford yak, their salaries dont match unless raptors take ingram and give an unprotected 2025 pick.
So basically keep him unless OKC or the Rockets are interested in a big win now move.

Yeah, Bruno is a tough watch. The Raptors would have to look for a big in the offseason.
