    Installing the same tile. Very helpful on the sealer prior to grout. I was going to wait until til after I grouted.

    Very nice! My husband and I are installing the same pattern tile this weekend and it was very helpful to watch you and how you worked with the pattern. Thank you for making this video.

    He placed the name of song but not the tile..I was hoping he flipped it around, but it looks like Satori Silver Cresent travertine tile..we just installed, but I was looking for grout coloring that goes best. Please consider placing name and color of what you used .

    Beautiful! This is the tile i have chosen to diy in my kitchen. The pattern may give me trouble. It will take about 1 and 1/3 tiles vertically to fit the space from countertop to upper cabinet. Will,it matter much if i loose the pattern? Do you seal it will anything to enhance the color? I

    Very nice job. Can you show me how to cut that type of stone and what equipment you use for the cuts? I'm trying to do this project myself. Thanks

    I am doing a complete kitchen remodel. I have this same style backsplash. This is a great video. Very helpful. My only question was what tool and method did you use to cut the small tiles around the outlets?

      Very easy to cut with a small wet tile saw, with a hand cutter will only break your tile apart, I have a small cheap wet saw with a new blade and it works really good, just take your time and use a sharpie so you don’t lose your mark

      @@madskills5937 Thanks! I had already come to the conclusion that the best way would be a small wet saw. Your video is great.

    What kind of trim did you put on the edges? And where did you get them? Great videos, by the way!!

    • @madskills5937
      @madskills5937  Рік тому +1

      No trim on this one, just tape and grout on the edge, now you can use pencil trim tiles and I did one with small wood trim, all depends on what look you’re looking for, thanks for watching and happy Fourth of July weekend

    The voids in the tile was filled in with the grout? and the home owner was good with that? looking to see of a way to grout tile and not fill in the natural voids in the tile.

      No worries, everyone loved the tile, best thing you can do is do a test pcs, make sure you have a grout color that compliments the tile

      Yes I use mapei sanded grout, not 100% sure, but I think it was warm gray, always mix never premixed,

    How much space did you leave at the counter to tile? Nice job btw

    • @madskills5937
      @madskills5937  2 роки тому +1

      i like to keep everything with even spacing, about if you have 1/8 go 3/16 just know that the level of counter matters,

    What size trowel did you use?

    • @madskills5937
      @madskills5937  2 роки тому

      I’m pretty sure I used small teeth trowel,when the mesh is on the back of your tile, you will get good adhesion, preventing squeezing out of your thin set,

    It would be a better video if you explained what you were doing while doing it instead of the music.
