Toyota Sienna MiniVan with 4 CarSeats

- Been messing around with various car seat configurations and we’ve finally settled on what we think is the best one for four car-seats.
Leaves an open alley space for lots of storage and long items.
Older kids who can strap themselves in at the back. And younger two in the middle so we can help from the side doors and front seat.
Pretty sure this configuration will also allow us to pop up the 3rd rear seat if we ever wanted to bring an extra adult with us or something.
It’s a 2011 Toyota Sienna With the optional 8th seat.
Thank you! Baby #3 is on the way for our family
Awesome we have baby #5 coming!
Hard working family making one thing much easier.
Thanks for sharing yours tips, very grateful to you
Glad it was helpful
I know everyone has said that your tethers are not strapped properly. If you are short on anchor points a mechanic can install them for you. Not all mechanics know how to, so you should call around first. Each carseat that needs an anchor needs to be attached to the anchor in which the seat is on/nearest to(sometimes they are on the floor or ceiling instead of the seat)
Good point thanks.
Unfortunately, top tethers can not be added to vehicles that already have top tethers.
Hi, i like your set up. Just wondering. Why did you decide on getting the Toyota Sienna? We've got a 4th coming soon and are looking at either the Sienna or the Honda Odyssey.
I just like Toyota better in general. I feel like their engines last forever. But I think you can’t go wrong with either option.
Too bad you can't remove the captains chairs anymore...
Love this id like ti see how you got it like this
Your top tethers are not correct
The middle FF car seat needs to be in the outside seat
And in your third row you can’t have 2 seats sharing a top anchor
The anchor must be directly behind the car seat it’s anchored too
For your middle row, is it okay to cross the tethered anchor over like that to the adjacent seat?
Hmm not sure, but seems very strong and secure to me.
@@Famvestor I'm just curious. I'm trying to figure out my layout for 5 carseats in minivan! Our fifth is a pleasant surprise.
@@KamesLT does the eldest one still need to be in a car seat?
@@Famvestor yes. He's a skinny little guy. I did consider putting him in a booster but those come with a latch system. We also have a US approved Safe Rider vest and that works for him especially when we travel. But I prefer for him to be in a highback carseat.
No, this is not correct nor safe. Both the vehicle manual and carseat manual will explain this.

I would not keep this up anymore there is sooo much unsafe seats
Why do you have the back seat down?
Just to be able to fit more stuff and make access easier. We picked up a bookshelf yesterday with no problem. Now there is a nice alley. I think we can pop that up though whenever we want to seat an extra person.
Dude I saw this and I know you have to work with what you have but damn man that’s some out of the box thinking. You might want to get a Honda van and strap them in right.
I dont know that a Honda Odyssey would be any more spacious than a Toyota Sienna?
You really should not share unsafe carseat practice information!! There's many things wrong with this setup. Your top tethers can not share I anchor point and the one in the second row is using the one for the wrong seat. On top of that the seats themselves have shared airspace/overlap which is a no no from the manufacturers. Not only are you doing things wrong that could potentially hurt your own children but then giving that same wrongful advice to other parents
Yes others have commented the same, and you are right.
Smart idea bruh, giving up safety over convenience 🤮🤮🤮🤮
especially your children's safety..
It's not that bad, as long as the car seat is strapped somewhere and the kids are strapped to the carseat it's as good as it gets if the crash is bad enough doesn't matter If the strap overlapped or went over under somewhere..
