My only question is how did Maddie hear Janet and Martin arguing. Janet possessing Maddie's body is hella creepy, but I have a feeling she didn't know she was gonna do that and once she realized she was out, she didn't want to go back because Martin took her life from her
@@akosuatab9006 there's a theory I saw in the comments about contemplating suicide being what makes you able to see the ghosts. Maybe Maddie was contemplating suicide after what her mother did, considering the "killed her spirit" line. While in this in between state, her body was vulnerable for possession just like it was foreshadowed earlier.
I haven't been this shocked and full of suspense when watching a series in a long time. This show has grown on me. I'm glad that season 2 is official now.
If you guys loved this one, you might like Behind Her Eyes too, it's a limited Netflix tv series with an insane plot twist. you won't regret watching it if you've never watched it.
@@arsenengoyI’m gonna watch it. I don’t particularly like this one ended but if there’s more coming out that would be great! Is behind her eyes on Netflix’s?😊
This show was so fucking good, better be a season 2. Unfortunately, it feels like the shows that people really want a season 2 for always get canceled. The twist at the end was great and it opens up the show to have a good season 2 with twists and turns and possibly get a season 3 or wrap it up in season 2. I would be very disappointed if they don’t make a season 2
So Simon is in a "place" that enables him to see and her Maddie. So maybe Maddie is in the same "place" when she hears Mr Martin and Janet arguing! As in maybe Simon was contemplating suicide when he thought Maddie was dead and maybe Maddie was contemplating suicide after she argued with her mom about the college money. Maybe thinking suicide brings one closer to the spirit world.
There's something eerily similar to your point. Dr. Martin wrote something on his bibliographies that sorrow and sadness can thin out their souls. Dawn mentioned about spiritual possessions, too. So, Janet was able to possess Maddie because she was emotionally thinned out from arguing with her mom and roamed freely in the live world. Like really, how did the ALIVE Maddie was able to see two spirits in the live world? Her emotional stress may also link to not just spiritual possession, but also seeing actual spirits, like how Simon can see Maddie because he was emotionally stressed from her "death." I hope they make a season 2 cuz there's still a lot of mystery to cover.
@@SongsForSorrows Maddie did say that her mom "killed her spirit", and maybe her dying "killed" Simon's spirit or something, and that's why they were able to see the spirits
I always thought that Martin was weird. For a ghost that "helps" ghosts cross over, that school was full of ghosts and none of them was close to do that. Maddie made more changes in a week than he did in decades. So I guess what he really wanted was to keep the ghosts there all this time. My theory now is that Martin and Janet was having an affair and when she wanted to break up he started the fire to kill both of them. Maybe their story is similar to Rhonda`s. Somehow Martin knew that they would become ghosts and be stuck in the school forever. With only having two ghosts in the school, they both became close again. After a few years they got bored and find out that they can have influence or even control a living person act when they are emotionally vulnerable, so they started to kill people. Yes, I think that Martin and Janet are behind of every ghosts death in the school. When Janet attacked Maddie, maybe it didn`t kill her only put her into a coma, giving space to Janet get in. The other possibility is that Maddie had a brain death, which still left room for Janet get in into her body.
@@akosuatab9006 Yes I agree because if you are brain dead you can't breathe on your own... lots of body processes are decommissioned. I think she was just vulnerable due to being so down and out.
That what I’m wondering too but I’m those bibliographies mr.Martin has been taking notes and saying like the soul could be thinned through emotional stress? Something like that so after the argument between Maddie and Sandra she was emotional and probably drained so her spirit aura was probably thinned/weak allowing it to be possible to get kicked out of her own body that’s my theory
I saw a theory somewhere that noted that maddie said something about after the fight with her mother that a piece of her soul died that day (or something to that effect). since a piece of her “died” she was closer to the spirit world in that moment
I also think Mr. Martin was experimenting with paranormal activity. He emphasized dead people not being able to interfere in the living world quite a lot which he knew was a lie. It’s possible that Janet was helping him too, might’ve promised a way back to the living or crossing over. His notebooks barely mentioned Janet which was weird.
@@frendlycriptid6168 I think he might be. I don’t think there’s a mention of anybody older than him. Also the janitor said that the school has scars so it’s possible that one of the oldest scars is Mr. Martin.
That ending was very good, I just feel like they should have fleshed out the Janet character a little bit more. Kind of felt like a get out jail free card for this character we’ve never really met to have been the “killer”
Exactly, I feel like because Janet ended up being an actually more significant character the show should have taken the time to flesh out the character (perhaps by exploring the ways thr other ghosts wanted to escape through studying Janet and her circumstances, instead of just casually mentioning it from time to time. ) that would have made the reveal more jarring
Janet's character explanation will be in season 2. Everything can't be spoon fed right out the gate. When that happens, we only end up with one season, two if we're lucky. Then people complain about that. The whole point of this first season was to find out what happened to Maddie and how she "died". Now that we know she's been possessed (the other characters don't know yet but Maddie is figuring it out), season two will delve into the why and about Janet. I think it made for a good twist and cliffhanger.
What if mister martin had to do with everybody's death in that school or out. I just find it weird that every one of those ghosts just died at the school.
I was thinking that!! Like perhaps he planned out how those people died in order to plan something to get them out of there. He seems so guilty. But then again the show is good of pointing fingers when it truly isn’t as bad as it seems
that would explains all those notes, maybe he is also able to posses someone and cause a death as that person, that would explain the sketch of Walleys last game
I've said this in another comment in another video, but I hope they can make a 2nd season because I'm really curious about how Mr. Martin is able to interact with stuff in the living world without them resetting. It's highly likely that he's the one who locked Wally, Rhonda, and Charley in the fallout shelter. However, the door didn't reset. Here's what I didn't say in the other comment. It's possible that maybe he got a living person to do it for him. We all know that Simon can see and hear Maddie, so it's possible that maybe someone else can see and hear Mr. Martin. Maybe Mr. Martin is manipulating whoever this living person is. The only person I can think of is Mr. South. We haven't seen him since Sandra almost ran him over, and that was after he was arrested, so he must be out on bail. Earlier in this season (episode 2 iirc) Mr. South talked about the scars of the school, so it seems like he knows about the spirit world. I'm not saying he's guilty of anything. He's most likely innocent, but it's possible that Mr. Martin is manipulating him. Like... Mr. South thinks he's doing the right thing, but he's not. Although we still don't know Mr. Martin's true intentions, either. Only time will tell.....if we get a season 2, that is.
well duh of course it was him that locked them in the shelter lmao, it couldn't have been Janet cuz she was already possessing Maddie for the past few weeks. and the reason that he can interact with the living is cuz he lied about ghosts not being able to interact with the living, they actually can. in highly emotional situations they can interact between worlds.
@@hotsexyangel That's what I'm saying - we can't rule out the possibility that another living person can see and hear Mr. Martin. It's heavily assumed that Mr. Martin himself locked the door, but it didn't reset. Either he got a living person to do it for him, or he knows how to prevent objects from resetting. Another theory is that the fallout shelter is some kind of link between the living world and spirit world. And I never said that Janet locked the door.
Oh and Mr. South also had to take video and "document" the crime scene where Maddie's blood was. It could've been so that it's documented for Mr. Martin
Damn, by the time I got to the last episode I thought it was Simon who killed her, I mean it kinda made sense that her killer would be the only one who could see her..
Im just confused at the beginning of the show when claire and xavier were talking about the body, and what about the murder weapon that they found? could janet possesing maddie place it there to throw off the cops? and how would maddie getting possesed explain her blood? i need season 2 like right now 😭
Ok so for one he's doing experimental shizz on them 2. The blood from Maddie flying into the wall 3. Janet is practically wearing Maddie as a meat suit. 4. Maddies essence (or soul) is stuck in the school. OK SO THAT LEAVES 96 QUESTIONS UNANSWERED GREAT 😃
They are saying they are hoping she just ran away… everything is explainable… except the money part like how did her mom get the money… and when did the English teacher give the money to Maddie … ohhhh shit Frankenstein wait I’ll go comment I think I’m on to something
@poeticjamm5303 I thought that too when first watching the scene but someone mentioned the splatter. I'm not a forensics expert but I don't think hitting your head would do that.
I just finished the season. So like, is Maddie still alive, then? Is Janet just possessing her body or is Maddie's spirit the part of her that "died" after her fight with her mom? Lol I need answers yall
Janet saw an opportunity to leave the school and leave town. She is now possessing Maddie's corporeal being. Perhaps in Season 2 the purpose/process will be described. It would be nice to learn more about Janet and also how she acquired Mr. Anderson's money. There is still some story to tell!!!
@@symaliwilliams1155my thing is why would Janet in Maddie’s body return to the hole location that night when Simon and Nicole were trying to find the money. That’s not making sense to me..
Like Maddie said, he spirit died so that means her body is still in fact and alive but Janet's spirit possessed her body. My theory is this whole show ends with Maddie finding a way to repossess her body and come back to her normal life again whilst also having to say goodbye to her ghost life.
I did not see this one coming. I bet the girl that was murdered by her counselor would have loved to come back as a living person and take care of the counselor.
I hope they do not cancel this show. I am loving it very much. I didn't like that Janet steal Maddie's body (I believe that every religious person or religion would say that this is impossible). I felt the season quite short. I hope there is more.
It’s not about what’s religiously accurate it’s about the story. While the execution could be better the answer makes a lot of sense and is basically the only way they could have continued the show without adding to much of that “oh wait mabey we were wrong and it was this person instead” they also didn’t just pull it out of nowhere “ you leave your body empty and another spirit can enter”
Ending of season 1 was crazy good. Some dull parts throughout season but interesting. I think Mr. Martin was having an inappropriate relationship with Janet before they died. As far as the possession, If I heard two people arguing in a creepy basement I wouldn’t have opened that sliding door. Idk why the first door was open for students to access. Excited for season 2.
Maddie was Janet the entire time...or think of it like this, Janet's soul possessed Maddie's body & life in some combo that caused her to be limited as if a "ghost." Maddie, as everyone knew her, no longer exists.
She either hit her head on the wall or metal pipe and since she’s the one alive died….or she’s not actually dead and Janet pushed her soul out of her body and is now trapped their until they find Janet 😮I think the second season would be them looking for Janet so Maddie could get her body back
My new theory is that Mr. Martin was obsessed with “walk-ins” because he felt guilty for being the cause of Janet’s death. Which is why he actively helped her figure it out.
@Marcus Rondo my wife said her theory is Janet in Maddie's body planted the crowbar as a diversion. It will be interesting in season 2 if they run fingerprints on the crowbar as it ill have maddie's own prints on it 😆
I think Maddie is there because her spirit is trapped in their world and that is why she can talk to Simon. I also think that they’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to be able to jump into someone else’s body . The teacher definitely figured that out over the years and Janet seized the moment . They still have some explaining to do to tie these events together
Girl yesssss and also u remember when ole girl in the pool bumped her head and Claire did CPR on her. All the ghosts gathered around and when she got revived back to life they kinda all got sad and just shrugged it off so yes they were looking for a body to jump into
@@drejackson9999nah, you are actually super dumb. That’s not why they gathered around the swimming pool. Did you even watch the last episode? Other ghosts barely started to figure out something was off with Martin in the last episode. I refuse to believe someone can be this slow.
I loved this show. I have some questions though: how can ghosts be inprisoned ina room? Did Mr Martin create some sort of escape-proof room for ghosts, where he trapped Charly, Rhonda and Wally? Also how can Mr Martin be wondering the halls but also keep reliving that last day on a loop, in the sience lab with Janet? I guess we will have to wait and see...I noticed the theme of Frankenstein and Mary Shelley, repeated throughout the show...maybe it is not a coincidence? Maybe Mr Martin was a crazy science teacher trying to find a way to bring back the dead and he caused the fire which killed himand Janet on purpose? Or maybe he and Janet ghost partners in crime? Not sure but he definitely was not sincere about helping the other ghosts. I hope that we will have a season 2 and find out
I just watched this show and the last 3 damn days the ending has been living in my head after me being damn sure Mr Anderson was behind it then her mom then her friend like then she ain't even dead? So Janet is in her body and Maddie spirit self is stuck at school? 😂 so here I am finally checking for an explanation. I graduated in 06 and can't think of anything worse than being stuck in that place for eternity 😂😂
Didn't he literally murder Janet and then kill himself by burning down the chemistry lab? There had to have been a reason behind him starting the fire. I saw a theory of him having an affair with Janet and killed both of them because he wanted to stay with her but I'm not so sure. It would make sense though.
Janet and Martin possessed Maddie. Somehow they got Maddie to hit her head on the boiler then Janet possessed her and went to start a new life all while making everyone believe she was murdered until the end. Dawn was right about something over . In that moment the possession happened , the real maddie died so thats why her soul is there .
Naw I think you’re confused. Martin was there and I think he was hurting Janet in the boiler room. So of course when a door is opened and you’re with someone you think would harm you you’d run which Janet did and took over Maddie’s body.
So Janet possessed Maddie‘s body wait didn’t Maddie able to do it too if she did what dawn and Janet did she can possess a body and be alive again 😮 0:15
This show hit me where it counts. I wrestled because my dad wrestled, I joined special ops in the military because my dad was special ops. Everything I've done in my entire life, has been for somebody else. That struck me deep. The only thing I'm really great at, is being a dad. And everybody told me I would suck at being a dad, but it turns out that I'm great at it.
Maddie isn't dead. Janet was able to possess her body while she was vulnerable after the fight with her mother. So Janet is now in control of Maddie's real life body. That's how she was seen driving the truck that hit Xavier.
I love basically any content that deals with the supernatural but School Spirits is a bit confusing and can not be taken literally. If what this UA-cam post is saying is correct, than the show is stretching what is possible in the spiritual realm. When a body is possessed, the possessive spirit can't push out the original spirit from its body. Maddie can not exist in the ghost world and Janet go around running in Maddie's body. In a possession, Maddie would still be in the body but not be in control of her actions or have her own will since Janet is controlling Maddie's body. Therefore, Maddie shouldn't be in the school afterlife with the other spirits because they are dead, she isn't. It is a cool concept though that completely threw me off on the thrill ride of "who done it" only to find out that she is alive. I love the idea! I am curious to see in Season 2 how this evolves according to the show's script. She is alive and thus she has a limited time to get back into her own body because she cannot live in the school afterlife now that we know her dilemma. A spirit cannot have an out of body experience for an extended period of time according to reality but since this is fictional, I'm curious to see how the show will handle this issue. I'm guessing that the Wally and the gang of school spirits will realize that Janet didn't cross over but possessed Maddie's body. They will help on the ghostly plane and Maddie will communicate with her best friend Simon to help in reality to perform some kind of ritual to exorcise Janet from Maddie's body and let Maddie go back into her body. Some very cool stuff should happen in season 2. Also, we now know that Mr. Martin is a malevolent spirit possibly controlling all these lost spirits from crossing over as they are just discovering. This is an interesting show but remember that it cannot be taken literally on the spiritual level. The spiritual inaccuracies are the writer's liberty to create, fantasize and entertain.
Why are h talking like you know someone that gas been possessed therefore your the expert 😂 plus her spirit emus been pushed out and if thats true then she’s not a ghost it’s similar to astral projection that’s when the soul or spirit is able to leave the body so basically Janet forced Maddie to
Do You all realize that it’s just like real life (or death) where it seems another entity that isn’t good, is holding others from moving on. That teacher is holding them back just like an evil entity would in real life
Mr. Martin gave me the chills from the first scene and especially how persistent he was for Maddie to write her obituary that made me really suspicious of him. But I didn't think about possession but it completely makes sense how none of the others experienced anything when Janet "crossed over" but when Dawn crossed they all experienced which makes so much sense knowing Janet possessed Maddie so that's why there was no event when she "crossed" this show definitely had many twists for sure I'm normally on point figuring shows out but this one this one really gave me a good run only because I wasn't thinking about possession. What didn't make sense tho was why did Mr. Martin try to stop Janet from possesing Maddie he didn't shout Janet no! So is it possible he was trying to save Janet's soul so he locked her up I feel like there will probably be a season 2 because there's so many things left unanswered
I HAVE A QUESTION I NEED SOMEONE TO ANSWER OK... so when maddie got possessed by janet mr martin killed her bc there was blood on the boiler room wall so maddie would be dead buuuttt shes seen on the run when janet is possessing her which shows that shes still alive so whos blood is on the wall and when the murder weapon was hidden it was ats claires stepfathers house right? so if mr martin is a ghost how did he get off the school property to plant the murder weapon bc whenever the ghosts try to go past the school line they end up back where they died.. so did maddie and janet js switch places?? SOMEONE PLEASE I NEED ANSWERS!!!
I love explaining plot twists to people so here I go. Maddie had an argument with her mother because her mother used all her college tuition to buy a house, and Maddie was in a vulnerable state. Remember that during the anti-seance, Dawn said something along the lines of spirits being able to walk into your soul if your soul is vulnerable enough, and Mr. Martin's bibliography said something about sorrow and sadness being able to "thin" one's soul. These are big signs. Just like how Simon was in a bad mental state, and led to him seeing Maddie's ghost afterward, Maddie was in a bad mental state at that moment after the argument with her mother and that led to her seeing the ghosts of Janet and Mr. Martin. Janet somehow could sense Maddie's vulnerable state and took her chance to enter Maddie's body, so she ran up to her and entered her body, ejecting Maddie's soul from her own body and leaving her to roam the afterlife instead. I think the reason behind that is because Janet was sick and tired of being in the afterlife with Mr. Martin because he murdered her and himself when he burned down the chemistry lab decades ago, and she would have been stuck with him forever in the spirit realm if she didn't take the golden opportunity to escape through Maddie. So she did. She probably jolted Maddie backwards in the process which led to Maddie hitting her head on the wall and bleeding. Afterward, Janet, in possession of Maddie's physical body, most likely used a fake weapon with Maddie's blood on it to fake Maddie's death so people wouldn't go looking for Maddie in hopes that she ran away, but instead look for her "dead body". Janet then bought a bus ticket and ditched town. I have absolutely no idea what Janet was doing in that house when Xavier and Nicole were looking for clues in the abandoned house, I think it was money she was looking for or something, I'd have to rewatch it to know.
In one of Mr. Martin's notes, something about "thinning" was mentioned, which explains how Maddie was able to see Mr. Martin and Janet in that room. I think the thinning allowed Maddie to see them, and allowed Janet to possess Maddie.
I was trying to figure out what the conversation between Martin and Janet but the musics to loud but here’s what I got Janet’s says no,no I don’t want Then mr Martin says u have to find out exactly what happened what do u feel then Maddie opens the door (mr martins forcing her to do something she doesn’t want to and saw Maddie as a escape from him) Or maybe Janet possessed someone by accident and mr Martin wants answers
Great concept but the writing is horrible. For example why would the hooded Maddie be in the woods while they were digging making it so obvious like you want to be seen and then at the end come in the house just to brush against somebody and run out and steal the car certain things just don't make no sense and it's just horrible
Maybe she was there the whole time and tried to sneak away quietly but the house part is just you not paying attention cause she didn’t know anyone was in her house and she didn’t bump into Xavier on purpose she was running out of it once she realized
I appreciate the assumption but what I saw was a crock of s*** LOL the plot of the show is very good it's just the other stuff just seems a bit corny to me but I guess it's because it's not a real real serious show and I can be a bit hard on shows especially when it comes to bulshit
My only question still stands, how tf was Maddie able to see the teacher and Janet when she was alive??? No other alive person can see ghosts, so how is it that she was even able to see them and get possesed?
I saw someone say this before so I thought it made a lot of sense, I believe what you're thinking of what he said was "I hope they don't find Maddie's body." Which at first sounded suspicious, but the more you think about it, the more it sounds like he meant it as in he doesn't want Maddie to be dead.
Maddie wasn't dead yet when she finds Janet, so that makes no sense once she wouldn't be able to hear them. She didn't have the connection to them that Simon did to her. Same with the bar that was labeled to have her blood on it, but unless she hit her head on it that wouldn't make sense. No one noticing she would have just walked right out school after "dying". It's seems to fail to wrap up well from a weak plot. Saying your mom took your soul doesn't actually mean she took your soul. Now if she was down there planning to hurt herself and Janet jump in that way maybe it would flow better.
I question myself on how Simon is able to see Maddie but not the other spirits, it's a common theory that in order to see and make interactions with spirits ones soul must be killed or dead just like Maddie was after arguing with her mom and Simon when he found out/ thought that Maddie was "dead" he had no will to live and was empty inside without her so that's how he's able to see her but I ask myself why can he only see her? If his spirit to live is gone, why can he only see and talk to Maddie and not the other spirits, because when Maddie's spirit was dead, she was able to see and hear Professor martin and Janet ......... anyone got some sort of idea??
I always compared this to angel beats and was so glad how dawn “obliterated” as ab says. I really thought Wally was gonna obliterate during the game but I’m glad he didn’t.
I found the ending frustrating. Nobody on the show can see or hear ghosts except for Simon. Supposedly, Simon can see and hear Maddie because of their connection. Why was Maddie able to see and hear the ghosts arguing? She had no connection to them. In the finale, we find out that Maddie heard two ghosts arguing. Janet then possessed Maddie’s body, displaced her spirit and ran off. Why was there a bloody weapon? Why bother making Maddie’s disappearance look like a crime? Janet could have just runaway with her new body. Why did she bother to stick around for the whole series lurking in the shadows?
so basicly ythe spirit of jannet got into the body of maddie and now jannet is hiding from everyone while she is inside the body of maddie and maddie spirit is stuck at school but bc of that her friend simon thinks the spirit maddie is fake bc of the video ?
So basicaly Maddie isn’t dead. And that is why simon can see her. Obviously maddie is in janet’s body, but simon sees maddie because of their connection. Meanwhile maddie’s body is overtake by Janet. And now maddie is stuck in the school as herself.

@@Other_People I think you may be confused. At the start of the series, we are told that Janet has already 'crossed over' and due to the plot reveal we know that the alleged crossing over happened briefly before maddie appeared. (Maddie had been 'missing' for a few weeks, so it was Janet in her body who had run away after being trapped in the school for all those decades) So she had already left the school spirits group and wasnt present. Maddie's body isn't going to rot because she isn't actually dead. Death occurs when the body stops functioning. Her body is still functioning, its just being controlled by Janet's soul.
@@Other_People yeah when Janet possessed maddie we see her fall backwards, it's possible she hit her head. But remember the police theory that maddie faked her death and run away? Janet could have done something similar whilst in maddie's body. She could have planted the crowbar too. It is a great series, hoping s2 knocks our socks off
So in season 2 they'll probably delve more into Janet and Mr. Martin's experiments and who Janet was(I'm guessing she and the teacher had a romantic relationship, but since the fire was set on purpose, I'm not sure), hopefully Maddie gets her body back, but it'll be hard to explain a ghost jacking her body.

@@TrishHill-z8g yes, it is on Netflix.
@@arsenengoy I can’t find it for some reason. It’s titled, “Behind Her Eyes?”
It’s official been renewed 🎉🎉🎉
Feels like a weak ending to me.

I think it's more like maddie's emotional breakdown left things thinly veiled. This left her vulnerable to the spirit world
@@akosuatab9006 Yes I agree because if you are brain dead you can't breathe on your own... lots of body processes are decommissioned. I think she was just vulnerable due to being so down and out.

Yeah you right
You’re right, but I’m so MAD they canceled one of us lying season two was amazing 😭
How did ALIVE Maddie hear a DEAD ghost argument screaming when she went to go check out the old chemistry lab?
That what I’m wondering too but I’m those bibliographies mr.Martin has been taking notes and saying like the soul could be thinned through emotional stress? Something like that so after the argument between Maddie and Sandra she was emotional and probably drained so her spirit aura was probably thinned/weak allowing it to be possible to get kicked out of her own body that’s my theory
I saw a theory somewhere that noted that maddie said something about after the fight with her mother that a piece of her soul died that day (or something to that effect). since a piece of her “died” she was closer to the spirit world in that moment
@@foxbear1749 also it could have something to do with the connection with the basement assuming that the teacher is the first ghost at that school.
EXACTLY
Janet's character explanation will be in season 2. Everything can't be spoon fed right out the gate. When that happens, we only end up with one season, two if we're lucky. Then people complain about that. The whole point of this first season was to find out what happened to Maddie and how she "died". Now that we know she's been possessed (the other characters don't know yet but Maddie is figuring it out), season two will delve into the why and about Janet. I think it made for a good twist and cliffhanger.
yes we didn’t even really meet Janet but that’s so cool because I thought I was so smart for thinking she died by suicide 😭
@@jeffs6090yes I know but they just keep talking about her
What if mister martin had to do with everybody's death in that school or out. I just find it weird that every one of those ghosts just died at the school.
I was thinking that!! Like perhaps he planned out how those people died in order to plan something to get them out of there. He seems so guilty. But then again the show is good of pointing fingers when it truly isn’t as bad as it seems
Maybe collecting certain types of students to study 😳
Kinda when he lost his temper with Rhonda as if he took over the guidance counselor’s body to kill her 🥺

Martin
It turns out that there will be a season 2 after all 😊

This isnt a explanation, this is a recap🤦
Fr the title is clickbait
Literally
Damn, by the time I got to the last episode I thought it was Simon who killed her, I mean it kinda made sense that her killer would be the only one who could see her..
Why would he do literally anything in the show that he did if he was the killer
Im just confused at the beginning of the show when claire and xavier were talking about the body, and what about the murder weapon that they found? could janet possesing maddie place it there to throw off the cops? and how would maddie getting possesed explain her blood? i need season 2 like right now 😭
I can’t explain any of that other stuff but the blood is from when Janet ran into her to possess her u see she flew back into the heater
Ok so for one he's doing experimental shizz on them
2. The blood from Maddie flying into the wall
3. Janet is practically wearing Maddie as a meat suit.
4. Maddies essence (or soul) is stuck in the school.
OK SO THAT LEAVES 96 QUESTIONS UNANSWERED GREAT 😃
xavier was basically just saying to claire that he hopes they don’t find her body like he just didn’t want her to be dead, not that he killed her
They are saying they are hoping she just ran away… everything is explainable… except the money part like how did her mom get the money… and when did the English teacher give the money to Maddie … ohhhh shit Frankenstein wait I’ll go comment I think I’m on to something
I like this explanation. Makes the most sense 👏🏽
@@Mona-InsightsSharingsshe followed the girl that hid the money and took it
@@symaliwilliams1155my thing is why would Janet in Maddie’s body return to the hole location that night when Simon and Nicole were trying to find the money.

Because this show was intended to be religiously accurate….
@@KR-vu9mo Well, maybe there is nothing after death and all religion is all a big BS. But still..
@sisqo i can respect that sisqo
Just because u don't think it's possible doesn't mean it isnt lol
So Janet possesses Maddie's physical body, that I got but explain how that cause Maddie to become a ghost when she never actually died.
@Zee B Hmmm! Sounds plausible. I want to see how the writers explain this next season. That's hoping the show isn't canceled.
Maybe when Janet possessed her it sort of pushed her spirit out? I’m not sure
@@Alana-yx3rp i think the same actually
A walk-in soul is never forced, it's arranged before the incarnation. I don't see any evidence of a walk-in soul situation.
The ending was just crazy
Possession did not mention the blood in the boiler room.
When Janet possessed her body Maddie fell and hit her head
Maybe as she fell she hit her head
Or maybe janet planted it
@peter mawila what about the crowbar with blood?
@Marcus Rondo my wife said her theory is Janet in Maddie's body planted the crowbar as a diversion. It will be interesting in season 2 if they run fingerprints on the crowbar as it ill have maddie's own prints on it 😆
I was surprised that ghosts can get locked in a room. They seem to have some kind of virtual reality that is a reflection of the material world.
I hope that we will have a season 2 and find out
i guess he just locked them there since none of the ghosts seems to be able to walk trough walls,

Not me thinking throughout the entire show that Simon killed Maddie 😭
I just watched this show and the last 3 damn days the ending has been living in my head after me being damn sure Mr Anderson was behind it then her mom then her friend like then she ain't even dead? So Janet is in her body and Maddie spirit self is stuck at school? 😂 so here I am finally checking for an explanation. This show was actually good I hope they come out with a season 2
Janet trapped Maddie in the school, so Maddie is alive. Oh can’t wait for the next season.😱❤️
I don’t think Mr Martin is the villain they are making him out to be. I think he’s just afraid to tell them they can possess people 😂
Didn't he literally murder Janet and then kill himself by burning down the chemistry lab? There had to have been a reason behind him starting the fire. I saw a theory of him having an affair with Janet and killed both of them because he wanted to stay with her but I'm not so sure. It would make sense though.
I really hope they renew this show for a season 2 it's really REALLY good
Janet and Martin possessed Maddie.
So who’s in Janet’s body?
So Janet possessed Maddie‘s body wait didn’t Maddie able to do it too if she did what dawn and Janet did she can possess a body and be alive again 😮 0:15
The ending got me tight so it was good! Cuz I’m still mad about it 😂
Me and my 13 year old just watched it. Absolutely loved it. It was unexpectedly good! And the twist at the end was totally welcomed by us
You didn’t explain it really. You kinda just summed it up.
Mr. Martin must possess people all the time. He may have possessed the janitor to make it look like Maddie was attacked.
Wait I’m confused can someone explain the ending who killed Maddie? Sorry it was just really fast and a lot I didn’t understand
I dont think she is dead because janet is in her body
One of the ghosts "Crossed over" but they actually now had the power to possess someone elses body
Maddie isn't dead. Janet was able to possess her body while she was vulnerable after the fight with her mother.
So Janet is now in control of Maddie's real life body. That's how she was seen driving the truck that hit Xavier.
Blood on the wall and crowbar tho...
@@fupalover Maddie's body fell behind when Janet possessed her and Janet could very well put that crowbar there to make a diversion.
Didn’t even explain the ending wasted my time
Yeah can't wait for season 2 plus the ghosts finds out the truth in episode 8
Why are h talking like you know someone that gas been possessed therefore your the expert 😂 plus her spirit emus been pushed out and if thats true then she’s not a ghost it’s similar to astral projection that’s when the soul or spirit is able to leave the body so basically Janet forced Maddie to
I need more. I hope a season 2 is made. I have so many questions. Hopefully, the long writer strike won’t put series in the trash.
That was a very glossed over "explanation"... I need more details my guy
I have been thinking about this ending for the past 2 days😰😰😰, I have so many unanswered questions😩😩!! I’m going crazy here.
The ending of this movie is so confusing!!!
It took me hours after to figure out the end. So janet had become a dark spirit and killed Maddie and stole Maddie's body
@2zee.g2 I say that because she was there before, and they thought she had crossed over.
Do You all realize that it’s just like real life (or death) where it seems another entity that isn’t good, is holding others from moving on. That teacher is holding them back just like an evil entity would in real life
Maybe I missed something. Is there any explanation on how Simon was able to see and hear Maddie?
I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that Maddie's body is still alive, so she technically still has a connection to the living world
How do you explain Maddy’s blood and the weapon. Did Janet hurt herself and plant the weapon to appear as a murder?
For some reason I never even suspected Martin... All the red flags flew right over my head until the ending.
Could you talk a little faster…? dahum! I still don’t know anything.
@@whoopsdidntmeanto omg tysm!! this helped a lot! i was so confused 😅
@@LyricAnderson-e3z no problem!!
So confused. So Janet possessing Maddie caused Maddie to die? How does Janet posses Maddie's body but at the same time still present at the school?
In one of Mr. Martin's notes, something about "thinning" was mentioned, which explains how Maddie was able to see Mr. Martin and Janet in that room. I think the thinning allowed Maddie to see them, and allowed Janet to possess Maddie.
I was trying to figure out what the conversation between Martin and Janet but the musics to loud but here’s what I got
Janet’s says no,no I don’t want
Then mr Martin says u have to find out exactly what happened what do u feel then Maddie opens the door (mr martins forcing her to do something she doesn’t want to and saw Maddie as a escape from him)
Or maybe Janet possessed someone by accident and mr Martin wants answers
I always felt off about Martin but I didn’t suspect him because he was a ghost, definitely a good plot twist.
Probably the best plot twist I've ever seen in a show. My jaw was on the floor for like ten minutes straight while the end credits rolled...😂😂
Are we getting season 2? 😭
Just finished this show and I’m so so disappointed with the ending. So stupid imo
My only question still stands, how tf was Maddie able to see the teacher and Janet when she was alive??? No other alive person can see ghosts, so how is it that she was even able to see them and get possesed?
The beginning of this shoe seemed s bit cliche but im glad i kept eatching. Esch episode gets better and i cant wait for season 2
Just finished watching this, and i stg if this show gets canceled im going to be livid
so then WHY in the 1st or 2nd episode when everyone thought it was Xavier, he mention to Claire about "Finding her body?"
I saw someone say this before so I thought it made a lot of sense, I believe what you're thinking of what he said was "I hope they don't find Maddie's body." Which at first sounded suspicious, but the more you think about it, the more it sounds like he meant it as in he doesn't want Maddie to be dead.
So my mind is blown so like is maddie just not in the story at all or has maddie just ran off since janet took control of her body
Janet used maddie body and ran off?
when i tell u my heart skipped a beat
Now they have to explain the murder weapons... i can understand the blood...
When Janet possessed/kicked Maddie out of her body, didn’t she fly back into the pipe when she got possessed
So what about when Janet was talking to the other Ghosts in the school? Did she just leave Maddies body?
What is schools sprint on I want to watch it
This show is sooo Amazing, what a final episode, i can not wair for season 2
Martin he devil. He deceived and trick all of them.
I always compared this to angel beats and was so glad how dawn “obliterated” as ab says. I really thought Wally was gonna obliterate during the game but I’m glad he didn’t.
Someone possess Madi body when she died
I found the ending frustrating. Nobody on the show can see or hear ghosts except for Simon. Supposedly, Simon can see and hear Maddie because of their connection. Why was Maddie able to see and hear the ghosts arguing? She had no connection to them. In the finale, we find out that Maddie heard two ghosts arguing. Janet then possessed Maddie’s body, displaced her spirit and ran off. Why was there a bloody weapon? Why bother making Maddie’s disappearance look like a crime? Janet could have just runaway with her new body. Why did she bother to stick around for the whole series
lurking in the shadows?
so basicly ythe spirit of jannet got into the body of maddie and now jannet is hiding from everyone while she is inside the body of maddie and maddie spirit is stuck at school but bc of that her friend simon thinks the spirit maddie is fake bc of the video ?
So basicaly Maddie isn’t dead. And that is why simon can see her. Obviously maddie is in janet’s body, but simon sees maddie because of their connection. Meanwhile maddie’s body is overtake by Janet. And now maddie is stuck in the school as herself.
am i trippin or this guy really sound like milo manheim jdsfhjdfhskj
I'm so confused. I have to re-watch the last few episodes 😢
ok so basically janet is undercover maddie who’s trying to start a new life? then what’s the dead maddie???😊
Sucks gotta wait another 6 to 10 months for the next season......just finished binging season one today
how was she able to see martin before she even got possessed
She was in a vulnerable position where her spirit died, and it allowed her to communicate with and see ghosts.
Kinda hoping this wouldn’t have a ghost stealing someone body. Like they ghost but have why steal someone body and life away.
Janet spent 60 years trapped with her evil killer. She might not have even intended on possession. She tried to escape.
@@TheVenomz ok but now she trying to leave with her body. Leaving other girl trapped without her mother knowing what happened. I get she suffered but making others suffer is no better.
@@sarahpingxie2811tell that to a ghost 😂she’s been there for 60 yrs replaying the same events u think she’s cares what happens to Maddie she’s a ghost doing ghost shit I expected this to happen
The video didn't really explain much. Maddie is obviously a spirit, yet she is running around alive at the same time. How can both be true?
Janet is running around in maddie's body
@@akosuatab9006 Ok, but how was Janet doing that when she was present as a ghost for most of the series? What about Maddies body, wouldn't it be rotten as heck by now?
@@Other_People I think you may be confused. At the start of the series, we are told that Janet has already 'crossed over' and due to the plot reveal we know that the alleged crossing over happened briefly before maddie appeared. (Maddie had been 'missing' for a few weeks, so it was Janet in her body who had run away after being trapped in the school for all those decades) So she had already left the school spirits group and wasnt present. Maddie's body isn't going to rot because she isn't actually dead. Death occurs when the body stops functioning. Her body is still functioning, its just being controlled by Janet's soul.
@@akosuatab9006 Ok that makes sense then. Still weird that Maddies blood was in the boiler room and on the crowbar. Good series though.
What was Martin yelling at Janet about when maddie opened the door?
I'm sure we'll find out in s2
so maddie and janet switched spots …
