On one hand they have such good people and good food, on the other they have the right wing sanghs which has created havoc in karnataka coastal belt and in the country elsewhere taking us back to medieval age.

I am Kannada and my wife is Marathi (Horanadu Kannadati). Maharashtra has really tasty food, especially the snacks. And I am used this food after marriage (also enjoying our Uttar Karnataka food too). Love it!!!

I have been to this restaurant last year , what a good ! It was authentic maharashtrian food and every ingredient was coming to the taste unlike other restaurants where you taste just masala !
Went there today morning and ordered a take away of Baingan Masala, Pav Bhaji, Jowar Bhakri and Basundi. Certainly made my day. Will surely pay a repeat visit !

That's why basically you'll see the language has many similarities and culture is also same. Especially if u go South Maharashtra all these miraj solapur wer once karnataka cities and North karnataka also marathi influences
