Also, how do you feel about the way they're treating Haitians there? It pisses me TF off! One time I was in Constanza (dope place you need to check out btw!). 2 cool Haitian bros showed me around, took me to the waterfalls etc. When we got back to town, DR popo pulled my car over bc they saw Haitians inside, and took both of my buddies to jail (we paid a bribe to get them out). Really killed the vibe of a really fun day 😡. Loss respect for DR after that.
It's a tough topic for. I want to make a video and interview the Haitian people and ask them how they feel. I personally don't like how many Dominicans treat Haitians. There is something called patriotism and theirs something called prejudice. I rock with my Dominican people and am all for patriotism however we know a lot more happens then just that. I have seen Haitian woman get berated and treated like a dog on the street because she asked for directions at Caribe Tours bus terminal. I have seen a lot. It's sad. It reminds me of how blacks get treated in the USA. Here, I get treated like a first class citizen because I look Dominican. That's how whites get treated in USA. Now I know what white people feel with their privileged treatment in USA haha. And that's no shade to them. Especially white kids, they probably don't even know they are being treated better than others. We don't choose our race or which neighborhood we come from. Honestly, all over the world, Dark skinned people get treated the worst. I have been to 26 countries and it's the same everywhere. I have not explored Africa much so I cannot speak to that but as far as USA, Europe and South America, it's all the same. Respect to the Dominican people and a special respect to the Dominican people who treat the Haitian people fairly.

And would only add... it's quite ironic Dominicans are mistreating Haitians for doing same things Dominicans themselves are doing in the US (illegal migration). And, like you, I love Dominican people like family, BUT to see them dream of a nicer life for themselves in US, then try to 💩 on Haitians for doing the same thing is a travesty. DR president basically was trying to copy whatever he saw Trump doing (knock on immigrant doors at night, build a wall) to get support from racist voters. Trump really poisoned the world in many ways.

In last 5 yrs, I've become less comfortable in US or Europe so I'm spending more times in places without all the BS (e.g. white women clutching their purses when I'm near them etc.)
@@cromy1778 Yes, unless you live in the hood, DR isn't that cheap. I spend more here than living in the US. The only difference is labor is cheap. But my condo here ain't cheaper. I can find cheaper but I don't want what comes with that. Lights going on and off, limited running water.
