It is very interesting. When you see the traditional, beautiful Dominican, they are typically with native Taíno mixed with African, as well as Spanish European genes. They are the so-called black Dominicans. However, once you arrive to the wealthy areas of Dominican Republic, you will find lighter skin, Dominicans, who sometimes they do not look as good or their body is bad, but they are the ones with money. Just Google the president or any politician in the DR. They’re all light -skinned. Damn near white. These are the white Dominicans. It has to do with ancestral genes. They colonized DR. Just like whites in USA. That’s not their land. They stole it and to this day they control is and have more money, generationally speaking. There is plenty of brown skin and dark skin, Dominicans, and even Haitians that make plenty of money. But as far as generational wealth, that I would say still goes to the colonizers. But the original the ones with the native Taino blood those are the ones that I film with. Not purposely, but because it is a lower class, lower income neighborhood. So it’s almost the exact same as the USA. You have plenty of Black people that make plenty of money that are millionaires and very few billionaires. However, white people are the ones with the generational wealth.

All good bro. Moved out there in 2019 i was mispronouncing it too! Lol. 27 people died, many more injured. They said the explosion came from a bakery, operating ilegally. That explosion triggered a chain reaction to a nearby building that had chemicals. Fire raged for over 3 days. I could see the smoke from my house roof.
