I had the tragic duty of attending a child’s funeral a couple of decades ago, and they played this song. I cried like only a father can cry for another father. Ever since then, I can’t help crying when this song is played.

I remember when the Muppets movie came out. It was not that memorable a movie, but it opens with this song, and that's what everyone remembers, deservedly so. This is a great and sweet cover that's just sweet enough to not be saccharine.
Two summers ago, I visited my home town and alma mater (U Maryland, College Park) with my kids and sat by the Jim Henson memorial statue featuring Kermit. Henson was class of 1960 and spent his later childhood in University Park, right next to the college. He was a local legend before he become nationally and internationally famous.
This is one of those songs I've never liked as much as I thought I should. But now I kind of get it. I love the way you so often uncover depths from songs that were always there, but no one had found the nuanced expression needed to bring them out into the light of the world. Sonically speaking, if that's a word
Miss, you are amazing! Your interpretation of this song and it’s implementation by you and your clones is a special level of excellence. Singing it better than Kermit is especially notable because IT WAS WRITTEN FOR KERMIT. Nicely done.

I've listened to dozens of Miss Anne's video. I gotta ask: When will Anne audition for The Voice? She's got the sound. She's got the repertoire and versatility. She's got the stage presence. She would wow the judges and the audience.
Another one of my favorite UA-cam singers finally auditioned, and she went all the way to third place, quite an achievement. She was Christina Grimmie.

@@AnneReburn But it's less about winning and more about the experience and having a broader audience that you wouldn't reach otherwise. Also can't hurt to have 1 on 1 sections with famous artists about something you could improve or add. I think you should Anne, you're always able to put your soul in the song and make it unique and that appeals to people.

Now Living in the Rainbow State (Hawaii) I'm on Maui and the average is to only go three days between seeing some sort of rainbow. I've even seen both ends of the rainbow at once ending in the ocean about 100 yds off shore.

I just rewatched The Muppet Movie a couple of months ago. It was the first time in many years I had seen it. I had forgotten the actual opening scene, which is a bit forgettable. The second scene is the one with Kermit singing Rainbow Connection. That is the one that sticks in my mind as the opening scene and also the best scene in the whole movie.
Anne, your skin is not nearly green enough to compete with Kermit, but you did a fine job with this song. I enjoyed your version almost as much as Kermit’s.
Another UA-cam musician who did a nice job with Rainbow Connection is Sammy Copley.
This is the kind of song that can only be done with feeling and emotion, you did a great job on this with both. I really enjoyed it, the harmonies are amazing and moving. Just brilliant.
